"Mind if I sit beside you?" Mark was being formal because Lyra's mother was on the ship.

Mark sits down beside Lyra. He instinctively puts an arm around her and kisses her cheek.

 

she moved away, from the kiss

 

"Sorry." Mark said, looking ashamed.

 

"its ok im just not in the mood..."she said

Mark takes his arm away.

 

she looked outside

 

"Well this is akward."
