It's about time someone started this Holy War. Pick one:
    • Doctor Who
    • Friendship is Magic
If I had to pick one . . . Friendship is Magic. It had a bigger impact on me.

Doctor Who, becuase Friendship is Magic is just an above average kid's show, whereas DW has a 50 something odd history to it
I haven't watched either of them extensively, btw

I've only seen like three episodes of Friendship is Magic, but I really couldn't get into it.
Therefore, Doctor Who would be my pick.

No hate towards Friendship is Magic, though.

On this forum it's no contest.

I pick fim though, only because I've never seen dw.
I like fim, but i don't have any devotion to it.

I pick Friendship is Magic, mostly because I've never watched Dr. Who.
I used to be addicted to Friendship is Magic, but now not so much. I can't remember the last time i've watched it.

I'm sure my answer won't be in any way obvious but... Doctor Who simply because it's such a huge part of my life and has taught me a lot, plus it just makes me so happy.

Tough question but I am going to have to pick Doctor Who simply because it has been part of my life longer.

I'd say My Little Pony, but the best parts of it are fanmade, whereas Doctor Who's official content is both consistently awesome and far better than anything Lauren Faust could ever produce on her own. MLP's (otherwise awful) Japanese dub introduced me to my current favorite song, though.

Gen 1 My Little Pony premiered in 1982, giving it ~31 years of history.

And besides that, there are plenty of "above average" kids shows that are far better than Doctor Who. Have you ever heard of Kim Possible or Danny Phantom?

I liked the bit about Kim Possible and Danny Phantom, not sure about (haven't seen) the Japanese dub of MLP . . . yet, and I disagree with the first statement. Lauren Faust is a talented woman, who, if she wanted to, could out do Doctor Who easily. I say out do, I mean rival with on closely accurate levels. Doctor Who is fantastically clever, don't get me wrong, but it's just not as . . . Interesting to me as much anymore. As for the fan made shows of FiM, those are great (specifically Snowdrop) on their own. That's just filler until the next season comes out though. I'm also waiting for Equestria Girls to see if it rivals with FiM. For those who don't know, Equestria Girls is basically going to be the human version of FiM. The design work on the released images isn't too eye catching though. I was hoping for something more . . . "anime"-ish I suppose. We'll see how things go.

I saw some of it thought it sounded it good, but then this popped up:

I'm sure that people who actually know Japanese can judge the quality of the dub much better than I can, so... yeah.

About Equestria Girls, it looks like it'll just be a toy line. Only one source said that it was going to be a show, and it wasn't even remotely related to The Hub or Lauren Faust.
