So I just started using Photoshop today and annoyingly I keep getting this little message whenever I try to open up a stock
    How do I fix this?

choose a different file type for the picture you're trying to put on.

    - Open the image in Paint first
    - Then rename the image and save as a PNG.
    - You should be able to open it in Photoshop now

I suggest you google your problem and try few solutions to permanently get rid of this problem.

The error messages means that the file is corrupt. Can you open the stock in other programs just fine? If so, try saving it in another format like Jay suggested.

The image was originally a jpg but I saved it as png. My render opens up fine. I won't be able to test anything because it's on my grandparents laptop and I won't have access to it for a while
