I personally think this is ridiculous. They start praying and as soon as things change (as they were probably predicted to by market analysts) they give all credit to god. No thought goes to the people who actually tried to combat soaring fuel prices.

    Thoughts?

    Thats absolutely ridiculous.
This is why I think religion is a load of bullsh*t.

Don't want to sound anti-religion but praying to a deity that doesnt even exsist is NOT gonna bring down it down.
And if there was a "God" then I doubt he would actually care/want to bring it down.

Man, for some reason this really ticks me off.

I also don't see why people are thanking them and giving them credit. Is the world blind?

I agree the credit should go the right people who actually did something with their time to try and help the gas problem.

But then again, people can go ahead and steal all the credit if they want to, the people that actually tried to help shouldn't do it for the credit. "When you've done something right, most people won't know you've done anything at all."

It's so often people do this though. If a doctor removes the cancer from a patient or performs heart surgery and the family is religious they thank God instead. If a fireman/woman saves the life of a child and risks his own skin too often he's not thanked as much as God is. If someone is helped out of a natural disaster scenario, God gets the credit to a very religious minded person. It's sad really that people don't get more credit for the good they do. Some people are so willing to see every single flaw and nasty thing humans do but won't give credit where it's due to the people that do good deeds that benefit others. Ah well, though. Nothing you can do about it and that's their right to think such. Just a shame though.

Such bullshit. The people who are responsible really deserve the credit as said already. But I don't care who they give credit to as in my eyes their opinions don't matter at all.

I agree that this is ridiculous. However, Repliku makes a good point that people praise God all the time and give him credit. So unfortunately, the people who deserve credit go unnoticed.

Though it is rather ridiculous, it does seem to happen frequently.
