Petition for Comic Sans on the Forum

Random Comment (You don't have to read it but you can if you want to I guess) : Comic Sans is one of the most accessible fonts for students who have issues processing written words because none of the letters get too close together or touch and that’s why so many worksheets and exams and syllabi are in Comic Sans. Fyi.

 

The fundamental problem for using Comic Sans with the aforementioned is, among other various degrees of aesthetic sensibility, its perpetuated usage in inappropriate settings. It is a nice feature of Comic Sans, but you can easily achieve that affect with other typefaces such as a variation on Frutiger sans-serifs (or Garamond/Palatino inspired ones if you really want to use serifs for print reading, which honestly I would not consider as much if reading accessibility is strictly the issue).
