Persona: New Awakening

"Oh, I was thinking maybe I shouldn't go school anymore," Sakura said, blushing. "But I should still attend school until the baby is born."

 

"If it's about those halfwits that were teasing you, let me handle that. I won't have anyone making fun of you."

 

Sakura blushed and nodded, "Thank you, Hattori. I'm so glad you're here for me." She sighed and laid her head on his shoulder, holding his hand.

 

Hattori leaned over and kissed her. "Hey, I said I'd always stand by you. I meant what I said."

 

Leila stood quietly down in the lobby, muttering to herself as she made herself a small bowl of ramen. "I'll eventually have to go out," she mumbled, grabbing her finished lunch and walked over towards the table. She twirled the noodles around with her chopsticks and sighed lowly, raising her feet up onto the table as she leaned back against her chair. Beginning to eat her lunch, Leila looked around the lobby, the silence slightly bothering her. "I figured it'd get louder with the more people we got," she muttered as she continued eating. "Oh well. I guess we all need some peace and quiet with the Dark Hour and Tartarus."

 

Haruka would have been content to watch the Thug be beaten senseless.
She wasn't heartless, but this guy deserved the beating.
However, she found herself having to step in once she saw Holden's eyes wander over to a knife on the floor.
She stepped forwards and placed her foot on the knife, so he couldn't get to it.
she placed her hands on her hips and sighed... "I think he gets the picture tough guy." she told Holden.
"I know that stopping now is better than he deserves.
This guy is scum... worse than scum in fact.
But you aren't Holden, so don't go that far."

 

Haruka watched after Holden.
"...You ain't too bad yer'self." she muttered, although she doubted he heard her.
Then suddenly a voice rang out in her mind.

'Thou art I.
And I am thou.
Thou hath established a new bond.
Thou shalt have our blessing when working with Holden of the Death Arcana.'

At the same time, Holden would hear the same voice, but instead it would say.


'Thou art I.
And I am thou.
Thou hath established a new bond.
Thou shalt have our blessing when working with Haruka of the Fool Arcana.'

...Being a Persona user is freaky..
Haruka thought to herself.
She then looked down at the state of the thug near her. "You remember, if we see or here any trouble from you again.
We'll be back, but next time, I might not stop him." she told him before walking a few steps.
"One of you downed morons should get him to a hospital." she added, before leaving after Holden completely.

 

Leila picked at the noodles as she stared down at her ramen, pressing the palm of her hand against her forehead. She ate the rest of her lunch and pushed the bowl forward, sitting back in her seat as she kept her hands on the table. "The situation with Haruka is giving me a headache," she muttered lowly as she lowered her head, rubbing her hands against her forehead. "I should think on this later or just ask her about it directly." Slouching forward a little, Leila raised her head and sighed loudly before grabbing the empty bowl and throwing it in the trash.

 

"Yeah..."
She caught up to Holden to walk along side him, noticing him quicken his pace.
"I guess we should expect weird things with us being Persona users..." she said.
"...You're hurrying up to get back to Leila aren't you?" she grinned, perhaps a little teasingly, although it was completely friendly in intention.

 

Leila sat quietly in one of the couches, reading one of Terri's books again. Her legs were rested on top of the coffee table in front of her as she turned a page, raising her head a looking around. She remembered when her and Holden first spoke to one another directly, remembering she hadn't noticed him walk in that day. She looked around and saw nobody in the lobby. Her eyes narrowed as she closed the book, placing it on her lap as she thought for a moment. Holden is out, Haruka is out and the others might be out as well. She sighed loudly and sat back on the couch, crossing her legs. "Wait a minute..." A frowned formed on her lips as her eyes narrowed once more. "Holden...better not be getting himself in trouble." She tilted her head a little and looked down at the table, tapping her fingers on her lap. "He promised he'd stop so..." Her mind trailed off as worry began to build inside her. Damn it. Groaning loudly, Leila threw herself onto the couch, laying on her side as her head rested on her arm.

 

Haruka caught Holden's Freudian slip. "Both of us eh?" she joked again, but she decided to stop and not push it. After all, she had just become friends... sorta, with this guy.
Or where they more considered ass kicking buddies?
When they entered the dorm, she saw Holden trying to sneak past Leila.
Not a smart move, Leila would just have a go at him and her later, especially if he looked more suspicious by trying to avoid her.
Haruka decided to do the most casual thing possible, she just hoped Holden wouldn't hate her for it.
"Hey Leila!" she announced, completely breaking their cover and destroying Holden's chances to sneak away unnoticed.
It was better to get it over with now than later.

 

Leila quickly shot up when she heard the door open and her name being called. "Hol-" She looked looked and quickly spotted Holden. She opened her mouth to speak but noticed Haruka behind him. She perked an eyebrow and looked to and from the two of them, moving her hands up to the top of the couch. She opened her mouth once more to speak but no words came. She cleared her throat and lowered her head for a moment. She glanced towards Holden and narrowed her eyes. "So..." Leila cocked her head slightly and tapped her finger on the couch. "Where were you two?"

 

"Oh, I had a problem I needed to take care of, and Holden helped me.
It wasn't a big deal really." Haruka told her, she then walked up to Leila and whispered into her ear.
"Don't worry, it wasn't a date or anything like that." she added, winking at Leila to reassure her.

 

Leila perked an eyebrow and looked at Haruka, surprised she made such a comment. She felt her cheeks become warmer as she averted her gaze, clearing her throat as she closed her eyes. I shouldn't be feeling this way. she quietly thought to herself, biting down on her lip gently. She quickly looked back at Holden though, standing up from the couch. "You're not going anywhere!" she shouted, clenching her hands into fists as she made her way away from the couch. "Are you two hiding something?"
