Persona: New Awakening

Haruka took a deep breath.
"I don't know about all of you.
Some of you might have heard in school the rumours regarding me... or some of you might not.
Some of you might have heard in school rumours regarding a certain girl, but you might not know who...
It's like they're stuck to me. I mean... I was surprised to learn that Terri in my own class doesn't know them... but I know a lot of the other classmates do.
Anyway..."
Haruka sighed.
"I'll get to the point...
Ten years ago... I woke up with complete amnesia... having no idea who I was or where I came from...
You might be wondering... how is this relevant? Or why would we have heard about it in school?"
she paused...
"Ten years ago...
that's where I woke up. School.
Gekoukkan High."
She looked around to see how the others would have reacted to this.
"It's been my only clue. I mean, why did I wake up there?
But now... after talking with Terri earlier and you guys now... this whole thing about the school changing...
I'm wondering if there is some sort of link to...
You guessed it, Tartarus." she finished.

 

Leila's eyes grew wide as she listened to Haruka. She momentarily lowered her head and thought for a moment before turning her back on the group and walking over towards the one seat left. She sat down and pressed her elbows against her knees, staring down at the empty suitcase as she thought of everything Haruka told them. She sat back in her seat and crossed her legs, returning her attention towards Haruka. "During what time of day did you wake up in?"

 

Haruka sighed again.
"I know what you're thinking... and that is... yeah, the case...
It's been ten years... and I was only 7 at the time... so, you have to understand that it's hard for me to judge... I mean... I was just a little girl who woke up with no memories... and was terrified at the time...
It was Dark though, I remember that... and I recall a Green Glow fading away, although... I think I was fading in and out at that time... I thought I was hallucinating, it was just so confusing." she recalled.
"I remember more clearly though, that the next morning... I was found by some students...
I'd been there the whole time hiding.
It seems I had lost conciousness again though.
And the rest is history.
The police were called and well... yeah."

 

Leila leaned forward as she brought a hand to cover her mouth, lowering her gaze once more as she thought on Haruka's situation. "Ten years ago, Kirigo and her group defeated Nyx," she mumbled, her eyes narrowing as they went from side to side. "Shadows..." She sat back on her seat as she crossed her legs, crossing her arms close to her stomach, biting down on her lip gently. "You must have been preyed on by the Shadows." Returning her attention towards Haruka, Leila rose to her feet and stared at the girl, keeping her arms crossed. "You must have heard their call and so you were heading towards Tartarus. Something must have protected you though. Hearing their call means you'd become part of The Lost."

 

Haruka tried to remember something... anything...
but to no avail... like all the other times she had tried to recall something lost...
"Could it be that it's because I'm a persona user?
I mean, if I have the potential and can Summon a Persona now... could I have had it then?" she asked...
although she wasn't entirely sure.
"I can't remember anything...
I've lost the entire first 7 years or so of my life... and I have no connections or links to show to any of it.
Other than the School... and now Tartarus." she sighed...
Her eyes shot open as she something else cropped into her mind, another link between her and everything else... but it was something that sorta... well, it worried her, not that she'd ever show it willingly.
She decided to keep silent, although she wasn't sure if someone would have noticed her expression just now.
"Oh well, I guess things move on.
But yeah... I thought this could be important... so that's why I wanted to tell you." Haruka said, trying to act more perky and cheery, as was her usual demeanour.

 

Leila perked an eyebrow from Haruka's sudden change in attitude. Her lips parted slightly as she thought on asking if everything was alright, but as soon as she heard Holden, the thought left her mind as she nodded her head in response. "We won't be going to Tartarus tonight. We'll go tomorrow night, depending on how everyone is feeling and if we all have the energy. And Haruka, you'll be moving into the dorms. Welcome to SEES." She smiled faintly towards the girl and rose up to her feet before turning her attention towards the rest of the group. "The last thing I'd like to inform all of you though, before you leave, is that clubs are opening Monday. All of you must join at least one club. That's all for today's meeting."

Terri cocked her head when Haruka suddenly changed in front of everyone. She looked around as she listened to Leila mention clubs. Oh yeah. Haruka and I were talking about that earlier. Hearing Leila's last words, Terri rose up to her feet, momentarily averting her gaze towards Haruka before looking away.

OOC: Everyone ready for a time skip?

 

"Okay... although, I'll have to head home for tonight anyway.
I've got no things here." Haruka said.
"Besides, I need to let Kurosawa know... I mean, I doubt he'll have a problem..
But I need to have a proper talk with him about the truth..." she said, stretching.
And getting ready to leave.

Hattori yawned as he got up and headed to his room. A faint smile crept onto his face as he fell asleep.

ooc: ready when you are on the timeskip.

 

OOC: I'm ready for a timeskip.

BIC: Sakura got up and went to her room. She looked out her window, touching her lips as she remembered the kiss. 'I still find it hard to believe someone could accept me after what happened to me.' She thought to herself. She blushed and smiled as she remembered Hattori's word, as she sat on her bed and laid on her bed, falling asleep.

May 24, 2020, Sunday. Afternoon, free day.

Leila's eyes gazed out of her window as she sat on her bed, watching people walk past the dorm. There wasn't much to do and she was a little too paranoid to head out of the dorm by herself after what happened the day before. The incident had caused her wound to reopen, so she only really stepped out of the dorm earlier in the morning to get it rebandaged. Sighing lowly, Leila sat up and looked around her room, looking towards her laptop before looking towards her tv. "What to do?" she mumbled quietly to herself, laying down on the bed.

Terri cocked her slightly, staring at bookcase, her eyes reading every title. She frowned a bit as she knelt down, pressing her index finger lightly against each book. There's not much that sounds interesting. She stood up and looked around the bookstore, seeing just a few people there. Maybe I should go eat or something. She quietly made her way out of the bookstore and waved goodbye at the cashier. She had been there so many times that she was already well acquainted with the people that owned the place. Once she was out, she began walk slowly as she wondered what she could do now. She had practically all day.

 

Haruka breathed a deep sigh of relief as she finished moving her things in.
She had fully talked to Kurosawa the other night, and he had explained how he didn't know the details, but he knew of some kids Ten years ago who fought against something super natural.
When he had heard her story about the Dark-Hour, he had gotten in touch with an old acquaintance who had taken part in the events of ten years ago, and that acquaintance had gotten in touch with the head of the Kirigo group... Putting Haruka in the sport she was now.
She felt sad about moving out from Kurosawa, but she knew she would still see him.
Anyway, now she was in her new room at the dorm, which was covered in boxes of her things... but she decided she would un-pack later...
something had been bothering her.
She had noticed Leila earlier seemed a bit hesitant to step outside...
She made her way down stairs as she thought about this and saw Holden.
Perfect. she thought to herself.
"Hey, tough guy." she said, to him in order to get his attention. She knew he would be the one to ask, her intuition just told her that him and Leila were close-somewhat.
"Tell me something.
What's up with Leila? I don't know her too well yet, but considering the type of person she is... I can tell something's happened."

 

It was Sunday afternoon and without anything to do, Vincent laid down on his bed and stared up at the ceiling. Ever since he had woken up little less than a hour ago, he had been laying here, hoping that somebody or something would pop out of nowhere and save him from his boredom but the door didn't open, nobody called for him and unfortunately for him, a girl that needed rescuing from the forces of evil didn't fall through the ceiling and into his arms. Getting up from the bed, he looked at the alarm clock that was on top of his desk. It was noon. 'I guess I could go to the dojo' he thought as he changed out of his pajamas and into some casual clothing. Having put on a pair of jeans and raglan sleeves, he sat down on his bed and started to tie his shoes. "Let's get going," he said as he tightened the knot on his shoe and then walked towards the door, only to pause as he was about to turn the doorknob. "Ooops. I almost forgot my shinai," he said as he turned around and walked towards his closet. Inside he kept the shinai that he had been practicing with for years. With the wooden sword in hand, he made his exit and walked down the stairs to the first floor. On the way to the entrance, he passed by Holden and Haruka. "Oh hey," he said as he stopped. "What's up with you two?"

 

"Gang members...
Oh... I know..." Haruka mumbled putting two and two together.
When Vincent came down and asked them whats up, Haruka had made up her mind.
"Ah, me and Holden have something to take care of. We'll see you later." she said, giving Vincent a wink and then grabbing Holden by the arm she surprisingly dragged him outside the dorm.
She walked at a decent pace and forced him to keep up with her.


OOC: Social link between Haruka and Holden... COMMENCE!

 

Deciding to get out of the dorm, Allen got out of his bed and went to the door after putting on some clothes on. Opening the door, he decided to go to the lobby and see if anyone else was there. When he got there he saw Vincent and Holden being dragged off by Haruka. "Did I miss something?" He asked Vincent.

 

Leila quietly left her room, closing the door behind her as she made her way up to the Command Room. She wasn't sure what to do and going out by herself practically scared her. Her hand gently slid against the staircase's railing as she made her way up to the forth floor, stepping through the double doors and closing them behind her. She was barefoot and wore sweats with a simple tank top and a thin sweater over it. It was warm, but she figured she could wear something comfortable since she wasn't planning on going out.

She headed towards the chair that sat in the center of the room, sitting down as she stared down at the coffee table in front of her, her eyes narrowing. "Haruka woke up in front of Gekkoukan High ten years ago. She doesn't remember her past or how she had even gotten her." Recalling the Junior's sudden attitude change the night before brought up a bit of curiosity. "She's hiding something, but what could it be?" She leaned forward in her seat and brought a hand over her mouth, lost in her thoughts.

Terri exited the Ramen Shop, her stomach content with what she ate. She stretched slightly before making her way through the Strip Mall. She was torn between heading back to the bookstore or just heading towards the Mall or the Station. She could return to the dorm and sleep in until the evening, or simply get a part time job for the day. "Wonder where I could work for the time being," the mumbled, exiting the Strip Mall. In the distance, she saw the mall and the station, recalling the movie theater and the coffee shop. Deciding to go with the movie theater, Terri made a turn and picked up her pace as she closer to the station, wondering what the others might be doing.

 

Sakura finished her email to her parents and stretched, wondering to do now. She stood up and went to the lobby, she sighed and went outside, heading for the bookstore. Sakura smiled as she walked, thinking if she should get something for Hattori. Looking around the store, Sakura wondered what he would like.

 

Hattori headed to the bookstore to meet up with one of the people he sold his sketches to.

"Never have liked working freelance like this, but maybe this will actually expand my career in art." Hattori said to himself as he walked in.
