Persona: New Awakening

Sakura took out her daggers, twirling them as she headed for the shadows behind them. Grabbing the chain, she swung one dagger at one, letting go of the other, she tossed it at the shadow, making it vanish. She grabbed the handles and sighed, walking to the group.

 

Hattori tossed his axe in the air and drew his evoker. "Lucifer, Mazio!" He shouted before pulling the trigger. Lucifer appeared in front of Hattori and shot lightning at a small group of shadows in front of him. He caught the axe and finished two of the shadows before the last hit him, cutting his cheek.

 

Leila cursed under her breath, looking towards the group before noticing more Shadows appearing. "You've got to be kidding me!" She turned towards Holden and gently grabbed his arm that held his Evoker. "Holden, we have to deal with the main Shadow. I have a feeling that's what bringing all of these lower leveled Shadows." Leila released Holden's arm and stepped away from him, keeping a tight grip on her Evoker. "I need to summon Lucia." Turning her head, she saw a Shadow quickly approaching her. She quickly moved away from Holden to avoid the Shadow's attack. Damn it. Having no weapon, she wasn't sure how to defend herself, and even more with Lucia's lack of battle orientation. From the corner of her eyes, she saw more Shadows approaching her.

Terri swung her sword sideways, striking one Shadow down as more came near her. She narrowed her eyes as she struck another Shadow, bring her Evoker to her temple. "Hariti!" Pulling the trigger, her Persona appeared before her and raised its yellow pouch, attacking each of the Shadows that surrounded her with Mabufu. They quickly vanished as she turned her attention towards the rest of the Shadows. At this rate, this might take us the whole night.

OOC: Something I haven't said is leveling up. At this point, I don't mind if your Persona uses an attack that isn't on the list that was given in the your OC form. Like with Terri, Hariti didn't have Mabufu. We're going with the idea that the group goes to Tartarus multiple times a week to level up, regardless of the time skips. So all of you should at least be below level 25 but above level 15.

 

Hattori killed off the last shadow that was attacking him and fell back to the monorail.

"We gotta get on the monorail! We'll be stuck here fighting these lesser shadows until we drop otherwise!" He shouted.

 

Black creatures... odd looking things had appeared from nowhere, on the train with Haruka.
But... they weren't the source of the noise she had heard earlier.
That worried her a little... what the hell was going on?

She lashed out with her fists, slicing and punching through these monsters... these shadows.
But they just kept coming.
She knew she could last them. She would have too... she hoped...
but these creatures were Supernatural... and she was vastly outnumbered.
"I ain't quitting yet! You hear me!" she yelled as the monsters retaliated against her.
"You won't beat me!" she shouted as she forced herself to keep on fighting.
...and even thought she was fighting for her life. She somehow at the same time felt like now, she were truly alive.
This was a challenge, and she was going to make it through somehow...
she couldn't let herself die here.
There was Kurosawa back home, people from school.
She had even promised herself she would try to involve herself with more people, maybe try some school clubs and such.
She hadn't met someone and fallen in love yet... there was so much left for her.
And if she died now... then it meant she would never find out the truth about her past.
There was no way that Haruka was going to let herself meet her end.

'Sure has been a while since I last used this thing,' thought Vincent as he held onto the hilt of his katana with his right hand and the sheath with his left hand. Drawing the katana from the sheath as quickly as he could, he slashed at the Shadows that came towards him, making them disappear into thin air. 'Looks like I haven't gotten too rusty.' With more Shadows coming from what seemed like nowhere, Vincent continued to fight on, to prevent a bigger amount of them from reaching the rest of the group. "Looks like I'll have to use my trump card," said Vincent as he sheathed this sword and pulled out the Evoker that rested on the holster strapped to his right thigh. Jumping back from the horde of Shadows that were approaching, he put the gun-esque object to his head. While the cold steel against his head made him anxious, he knew deep inside that he would be okay. "SIEGFRIED!" he yelled as he pulled the trigger. With the trigger pulled, a bright light appeared and out of it his Persona appeared and slashed the Shadows that surrounded him with its sword.

Leila perked an eyebrow as she noticed several Shadows run off. "They're leaving." Looking around, she noticed more of them until all of them were gone. "That's strange." She turned her attention towards the monorails and narrowed her eyes, quickly summoning Lucia. Breathing in deeply, she closed her eyes and quickly scanned the area. "Someone's being attacked! Head into the monorails now!"

Terri swung her sword one last time, destroying one of the Shadows that tried running away. Seeing no more around, she sighed lowly and lowered her weapon, placing her Evoker back in its holster. Turning her attention towards the group, she heard what Leila said and looked towards the monorails. "Maybe it's Haruka."

 

Hattori got in the monorail and set his axe down near the door. He cursed himself for using a weapon that needed a wide space to swing it in, knowing it would be useless while they were in the monorail cars. He drew his evoker, keeping a tight grip on it.

 

Terri followed after the others before looking over her shoulder to look around the area where the Shadows were. I wonder why they just left. Beginning to feel a strange vibe, she bit down on her bottom lip and felt the need to stay behind with Leila. Then again, they weren't sure if the larger Shadow was inside the monorail or outside. Sighing lowly, Terri headed into the monorail and looked around, simply seeing a few coffins here and there.

"I sense the person is in the next cart. Hurry!"

 

The black dragon Persona, Seth quickly faded as it had defeated a small group of Shadows outside. Arthur still carried his rapier as he caught up with the group now as they headed inside the monorail. Inside there were various coffins of which he suspected were former passengers that had now entered the Dark Hour. He heard the slight growls of Shadows roaming around but some other strange noise was heard from deeper within the compartments. "So if we defeat the main Shadow the rest leave too right?" he asked though more to himself as if assuring that the plan would go well.

 

"We gotta kill that shadow before whoever is in the next car gets hurt. Which way is the shadow, Leila?" Hattori asked as he looked around the car.

 

Haruka was fighting desperately. So far, she had beaten a lot of these things and they were thinning out.
but she couldn't keep it up... As much as she wanted to, she panted hard, the signs of destruction showed in the carriage.
Suddenly, a monster thing made an explosion of fire appear (Agi) right in front of Haruka.
She managed to move back just in time to avoid it, but the force of the explosion pushed her back and off of her feet, sending her flying into the door of the carriage, making a loud thud sound. Windows shattered as fire escaped from them.
Haruka slid to the floor, the door knocked off it's hinges... leaving her in the gap between the two carriages.
"Damn you... you little buggers... pulling tricks like that." her voice strained.
She wasn't too badly hurt considering... she was lucky.


OOC: basically, she's just by the door of the carriage the others are in.
Yes, they would have heard the loud thud of Haruka hitting the door, and the explosions at that.
Perhaps Leila outside would have seen them for that matter.
But yeah.

 

Terri moved forward a bit gasped quietly when she heard a thud, soon quickly noticing Haruka when the door leading to the other cart fell down. Without any hesitation, Terri ran forward and stopped just in front of Haruka, pointing her Evoker to her temple as she fired, summoning Hariti once more. "Are you okay?" Terri asked, turning her head a little to look over at Haruka.

"Everyone, destroy those Shadows and protect Haruka!"

 

Haruka turned her head.
"You're... in my class." she stated kinda groggily. "Terri... Right?
I knew it... I knew I couldn't be the only person who didn't turn into a Coffin... but to think one was my own classmate."
She looked up at the weird thing that just seemed to come from the girl now helping her.
"...This is one weird night... not that these nights aren't ever weird..." she said with a short laugh.
"Damn... if it wasn't for that stupid fireball. I could'a taken the rest of them before you arrived. At least I'd look like I was in a better state than now." She stood up, using the door frame as support.

 

Hattori used his evoker to summon Lucifer to help take out some of the shadows. Lucifer took out a few of the shadows before Hattori charged in, using his axe the best he could in such narrow quarters.

"This isn't so bad. I hate fighting in such narrow spaces though. They didn't hurt you too badly, did they?" Hattori asked Haruka while he fought the shadows.

 

Haruka looked around from hearing Hattori and saw that others were there too.
"I've seen you around in school... all of you..." she acknowledged quietly before finally answering Hattori's question.
"Heh, this girl can take care of herself well enough." she winked at Hattori with a smile to show she was okay for the most part.
"You should'a seen the amount I took out before one of them things surprised me with an explosion." she added, not wanting them to think she had been completely helpless considering she actually hadn't been entirely.

 

Terri swung her sword, defeating one Shadow that tried lunging towards her. She stepped away from the door so the others could come through. "Don't worry. After this, everything will be explain." she muttered towards Haruka, putting her Evoker back in its holster as she attacked one more Shadow. I have to stop using the Evoker. I'm beginning to feel tired.

Leila's eyes slowly opened, staring through the glass container she stood in. Something... She lowered her hands down to her sides as she raised her head a bit, turning her attention towards the monorail. She felt Shadows inside there, but she felt something odd outside of it. Can it be outside? Suddenly sensing something behind her and Lucia, Leila gasped and dismissed her Persona, quickly turning around to see a large Shadow sitting. "What the..." Its hair waved before one of its strands shot forward, striking Leila in the shoulder. Wincing loudly, Leila stumbled sideways and clutched her shoulder, feeling blood cover her hand. "Crap..." Breathing in deeply, she suddenly felt the Shadow grab her, lifting her off the ground and closer to it. She felt her body being squeezed, preventing her from screaming for help. The Shadow cocked its head as it stared at Leila before one of its strands of hair wrapped around Leila's neck, raising her higher into the air as it began squeezing the girl's neck.

OOC: Shadow they'll be fighting. And no, don't worry. There's no time limit since it's outside of the monorail.
