Persona: New Awakening

"It can really depend, actually. Someone can either be born with it or they can develop it along the way. It can also forced into a person, but that's something rather complicated that I'm not very familiar with," Leila muttered, crossing her arms around her stomach as she returned her attention towards the group. "There's not much else to talk about. The only other thing there is is the full moon that is just days away. I want all of you to be prepared for it. It won't be such an easy task."

 

"What's so special about the full moon? Are the shadows much stronger then?" Hattori asked as he looked over at Leila.

 

"I can assume we'll have to face some sort of gatekeeper or something. From what I've been told, Tartarus doesn't exactly allow easy passage through its corridors." Hattori said as he looked up at the ceiling, preparing his mind for the battle that was soon to come.

 

"It's not that easy," Leila muttered as she slowly stood up. "We're going to be fighting something outside of Tartarus. From what Ms. Kirigo told me, it'll be a very large Shadow. It'll be much more powerful than any other Shadow you've faced inside of Tartarus. The reason all of you need to be prepared. Each full moon, we're going to be fighting a powerful Shadow."

 

"So, we pretty much have until a full moon to get ready for these special shadows." Allen said. At least now we now when to expect them. Which will help us be prepared for them.

 

As Haruka walked to her job in Paulownia mall, she passed the usual alleyway where the usual tough guys hung out.
Two of them were lurking and approached her, with menacing looks in their eyes.

"Hey cutey! It sure is late... things might be dangerous."

Haruka flicked her headphones back, and eyed up the one who spoke.
"Yeah? Well, too bad I like danger." she told them and started to walk again.

"That apathy syndrome thing is on the rise again, maybe you could use some protection in exchange for small favours."

"Protection? From you?
I'd rather be protected by that Kitty over there." she said gesturing to a nearby cat.

"Hey Bitch! Don't you dare write us off like that!" one yelled out angrily.

"Too late." Haruka smirked as she clicked her knuckles. "Besides, this girl can take care of herself, ya know?"

"Well, why don't ya PROVE IT!" one guy yelled as he charged forwards.

Haruka immediately ducked down low and sweeped the guy before standing up at great speed, spinning around and kicking the guy who was still in mid air, in the stomach, sending him back a few metres, on the floor and in pain.
"Well, how about you tough guy?" she smirked.

"I uh... FUCK THIS!" he yelled, grabbing his buddy and running off.
"We'll remember this!" he yelled out as he ran.

"Yeah yeah, sure." she said as she waved them off, walking in the other direction.
She wasn't shaken up at all, Haruka could definitely handle herself.
She's always been pretty good at fighting from when she had woken up memory-less, as well as the fact that Kurosawa had made sure that she would be able to take care of herself."
Unscathed, she continued to her workplace.

 

"I guess if we're done, I'll go back to my room. Unless we planned on going to Tartarus tonight, that is." Hattori said as he stood up and stretched. He held his hand over the pocket he put his evoker in after he stretched.

 

Leila nodded her head in response to Holden's question. "Everyone can leave now if they'd like." She smiled at the group but slowly turned her attention towards Holden. "Except, I want Holden to stay." She stepped away from the chair she stood in front of and walked over towards the large screen in the room. She turned around and waited for the everyone else to leave.

 

Hattori nodded and walked out. He went back to his room and flopped down on the bed. So it all begins.... Hattori thought to himself as he stared at his evoker, gently running his fingers along the barrel of it.

 

Terri slowly rose to her feet and walked out of the command room, slowly glancing towards Holden before walking out. Surprised to know she wants him to stay in there with her. Heading down to the third floor, she went straight for her room.

Leila took a couple steps forward as she watched everyone leave the Command Room. Once everyone was out, she quickly turned towards Holden and lowered her arms down to her sides, taking a couple step more steps towards Holden. "What happened to you?!" Her brows furrowed as she clenched her hands into fists, looking up and down at Holden.

 

Leila quickly reached for Holden's arms, pulling his hands out of his pockets as she turned them towards him. "What happened?" she asked once more, pulling the cuffs of his jacket up a little. She lowered her gaze back down to his hands and frowned slightly, squeezing his arms lightly as she slowly slid her hands to his forearms. "Did you get into a fight?"

 

"You do what?!" Leila nearly yelled but held the urge back, not wanting to scare the others into thinking they were fighting. She growled lowly as she lowered her head slightly, closing her eyes and raising her hands to rub her temples. Sighing loudly, she raised her head and opened her eyes. "Why do you-" Seeing Holden lean in, Leila's eyes grew wide as she leaned back a little, staring into the boy's eyes. "Uh..." Her eyes fluttered, quickly turning her head away as she felt her cheeks flush. "Why wouldn't I be?" Why am I nervous again? Inhaling deeply, Leila slouched her shoulders slightly as she looked over at Holden, slowly turning her head to face him. "If this is literally how you pass the time every single day, please stop. I don't think I can handle losing you, Holden."

 

"I'd want you to stop completely," she muttered lowly, sighing lowly at Holden's attitude. She tilted her head slightly and lowered her eyes down at the ground, raising her hand to rub the back of her head. She opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out as she felt Holden's lips gently peck her cheek. Her eyebrows raised slightly as she slowly looked back at Holden, watching him leave. "You're welcome," she murmured, slowly turning away towards the monitor in the room. She tilted her head slightly and lightly rubbed her fingers against the cheek Holden had kissed.

BIC:Haruka finished work and headed home.
She had no problems on the way from those idiot's from earlier either.
