"That's your mother." He said before looking at the other girl.

"That has to be my mother."

 

"She's very beautiful......"

 

"Now I see where I got my looks."

 

Arisa looked through the entries and found one. "Hattori, this is about when she met Najima."

 

Hattori saw his mother's wedding picture.

"He looks a lot different than I remember him. It's like he turned into a different person some time after he married my mother."

 

"Sakuya must have had some dispute about her best friend marrying someone like that."

 

"My mother looks so happy in this picture, though. She was truly in love with him before he started that horrible project."

Hattori then came across a passage on the next page and quietly read it.

"According to this, father wasn't always a scientist. He didn't start working at the lab until two years after he married mother. He apparently was a martial arts expert."

 

"Wonder what led him to become the terrible man who worked on us?"

 

"I can only assume it was because of money. He started working at the lab to get more money so he could give my mother a better life."

 

"I see........ But Sakuya and Toyomo look so happy together."

 

"They were friends since childhood."

 

Arisa stared at the high school picture and sighed.

 

"It's too bad my mother was never there to see me grow up."

 

"Yeah........ Think you could read the entry when she met your father?"

 

Hattori read the entry aloud.

"Today, I met the nicest man. His name is Toji Najima, a martial arts master. I began taking lessons at his dojo to learn a few moves to defend myself, but I feel like I'm falling in love with him."

 

Arisa listened and sighed.

 

Hattori moved onto the next passage.

"Toji and I went on our first date. He took me out to a lakeside resturant. I had such a wonderful time enjoying the sights with him."

 

Arisa continued to listen, trying imagine the scene.

 

Hattori continued to read.

 

Arisa smiled, thinking to her persona. 'From this, Najima seemed like a nice guy.'

'Yeah......'
