Persona Developer Will Reveal the Game "Everyone is Waiting For"

Shin Megami Tensei newb, here. Teehee.
Iv'e only played halfway through the first Persona. 'sigh' I got stuck, so I gave up and Third Birthday, FFXIII, and Duodecim came along. Still haven't finished any of them. But Persona is really fun. I love how you can interact with the enemies. It's the little details. I'm also watching Persona 4 the animation. Makes me really want to get it.

 

Catherine 2.

 

I absolutely love the Persona series. I really hope it's Persona 5. I have not played much of the other SMT games, though I plan to eventually.

 

i'm pretty sure it's Persona 5 since they said it's the next Persona game. i can't wait, i miss this series.

 

They did announce that they were working on it about a year or two ago, thank god it's coming, Ithought it might have been a game in development hell...

 

Please be Persona 5.....

I won't get my hopes up. I also wouldn't mind a Catherine sequel, but Persona 5 seems more likely.

People wanting a Catherine sequel: How would they do it? I don't see how they could make any kind of sequel, considering all the endings and how conclusive basically all of them are. Not that I wouldn't want a sequel, Catherine is one of the best games I've played in ages. Imported that sucker from the states, and now I've pre-ordered the special edition for Europe (I have also ordered Nocturne, but that is another story completely).

Of course, there is one way they could make a franchise out of Catherine: The Golden Playhouse. It would make perfect sense, wouldn't it? And we might just get more of that lovely host <3

Anyway, it's probably Persona 5, yeah. Atlus are seriously milking Persona, haha.

 

I hope it's Persona 5 ... I love those games. But seriously, everything Atlus makes is good, so whatever they do is fine my me ^^.

 

I also wish it was a main installment into the SMT series, I loved Nocturne. I've never played a Persona game, though. I'm looking forward to it.

 

The company has said they'd be getting to Persona 5 at some point. They just had to finish a few other projects first... (IE: Catherine... and some other stuff.)

So... yeah, there is a 99.9% chance that it's going to be Persona 5.
I'm definitely looking forward to it anyway, I've been an avid fan of Persona for ages now and have completed all the games to date, including the portable variants (Going through Persona 3 Portable as a girl was pretty fun. XD)

I wonder if they'll let us choose gender in this game or something like in P3P.
If they incorporated a New Game Plus feature and gave you the two genders, that would work pretty well. That way, even though the majority is the same story, the social links end up being very different and that makes it oh so more replayable (and heck... it's replayable enough already, lol).

Either way, it's a game I aim to get no matter what.

I've been waiting for more of a confirmation since I finished 3/4 last year. I'm curious as to whether they'll bring in a new cast or just continue from where P4 Arena left off -- and even more so how they're gonna tie in P1 and P2 (aside from the Nanjo and Kirijo Group thing), but definitely excited for more news later on.~
