Persona 5 - PS3/PS4

WELL I gotta get to actually playing 3 and 4 now because no way I'm missing out on this.

 

oh my god it's beautiful. this looks so amazing. The gameplay looks so fun and I like the looks of the conceit for exploring whatever dungeon's in this game. (and finally a mc that doesn't look dumb)

maybe a dumb question, but would this be better on ps3 or 4?

I can't believe the MC is simultaneously more swag and nerdy than Narukami, but this team looks so rad (ESPECIALLY THE CAT). I'm hoping the cat isn't as beary annoying as a certain mascot, but it is so cute. ;~; IGOR MA DUDE and new twins. Is that the MC in a prison in the Velvet Room???

The gameplay looks like such a huge step up from P3/P4 in dungeon design and exploration, I'm so hype to go through those. Demons are back? Does this mean other P1/P2 things are (Philemon/Nyarlathotep)?

Music is great, visuals are great, the menu layout is stylish as ****. I am really looking forward to this and need to get a PS4 pronto, lol.

 

This literally met all my expectations, and holy crap.

I was talking with a friend about an idea for a Persona story cause we wanted to try making our own, and I suggested a juvenile school with "questionable" protags, and the characters would meet at a bar.

HOLY CRAP WHO WOULDA THUNK

 

The cast looks older than in past games so I thought it may potentially be young adults trying to balance work and dungeons rather than school. But then there was a classroom, kind of a shame but no big deal.

Regardless I'm super excited for this, the heist theme is definitely interesting.

 

Watched the trailer again and look what convinient pausing caught



The Latin names of the 7 Deadly Sins & two additional names ('Cavum' and 'Irritum'), all of which have the label 'Persona' under them. Looks like Team Heist can look forward to potentially five more members.

 

Yaaaasss, looks amazing. Very glad it's for PS3 as well, definitely not gonna miss out on this. It's also definitely a well needed change for a juvenile inspired cast, especially after the last few games. Too excited~

I read comments of people talking about how the 7 Deadly Sins show up in the video, but I didnt think it was like that.

Good stuff, this is only making me more and more hyped up about it.

 

One thing I noticed, was that in the menu instead of a "social link" option, it was replaced by "co-operation". Maybe this means that the social link feature will be completely re-hauled and reworked into a completely different system. My feeling is that this new system might only incorporate the party members, and might involve all of the bonuses from the social links in Persona 4, and maybe even the ability to perform all-out attacks. Who knows? I just like speculating.

I'm loving that Persona's design.

 

Am I the only one that thinks that around 01:18 is a blatant copy of the Stray Sheep restaurant/cafe/bar? Catherine is starting to turn into "P5 Beta" in my eyes. The protag is almost just Vincent with glasses. And even when "locked up", he looks almost just like him!

 

Everything about this trailer is absolutely beautiful, holy ****. I remember nearly bursting into tears when I was woken up by someone practically spamming the link to it at me.

Dreams really do come true. And here I was more stoked for Dancing all Night than Persona 5. That's definitely changed.

This one was a lot shorter than I hoped, but still pretty good. It looks like the masks are somehow tied to Persona/Demon spawning (at least, that's what the eye bleeding the protag had going on looked like). Demons erupting from torsos is pretty cool, and the dungeons look great so far. Curious who the painter dude is. Excited to see if they're gonna have anything at TGS or something like that this year, especially in regards to a release date. If they're sticking with 2015 releases for JP and NA, it's gotta be coming up soon in some way.
