I'm still confused as to why they region locked between America and the UK, to be perfectly honest. I'm sure they have their reasons (I'd rather not dig those up right now), but... For those Europeans who want to play with their friends internationally... It's a bummer. By the time we get said game, most people internationally who already have the game would be very bored and uninterested.

I also heard about the opening sales crashing badly, but I've yet to find the source.

What do you think, on the matter?

the reason it was region locked was because the American version and the Japanese version's release dates were only 2 weeks apart. since the content is completely identical in both versions (they even have both english AND japanese text/voice acting), they didn't want to lose a bunch of money from people who imported it to get the game cheaper. this was the official reason given by Atlus by the way.

while it doesn't affect me, i do feel bad for people who can't import the game. especially since Europe still doesn't have a confirmed release date.

I think I read somewhere that they region locked these games because it ended up cheaper in some region, so people buy the cheaper versions and that didn't help with sales

True, you do have a point there... That was the official reason as to why they region locked the game in the first place.

But still, it would have been nicer to sell it all around the same time then, to avoid this problem in the first place. Now, its an indefinite wait despite the fact they promised it for late September.

I just think it was quite badly planned, considering how many European fans had been waiting, including myself for the matter.

True, but it didn't work with sales! On their European site, they further announced something about the ratings and the game's just waiting to get the all clear... I just think its unjust that they promised people a certain date and didn't deliver to their promises.

Easy to say as you all get the games cheap, in here a $ 40 dollars game sells for $100 so even paying the shipping still pays off the importation... almost 100% of my games (and anyone I know in here) buys by importing games.
There are different policys in every country for taxes and stuff so the price shifts ALOT, You just don't see it, as Us and Japan got the lowest prices.
