That's pretty awesome. Though it makes me wonder if it'll be an adaption of the game, a sequel of some sorts, or something entirely different. An adaption of the game is fine, but I'm a bit worried how they would mash everything together into a single movie. One of the things I like about the Persona series is that in addition to the RPG stuff it has "slice of life" too and a shorter time limit to tell the story could alter that. But apparently they did it with Persona 4 -The Factor of Hope- they mentioned there. They could split it into several movies, but yeah.
Meh. Persona 3 barely had a plot up until the very end. It was basically just "Look there's a tower, let's climb it!" (incidentally, this is probably the most common story in the SMT games). What made it great was the social links, which will be next to impossible to convert to the big screen in a good way. Especially since it is a film. Meh all around.
Okay, If Persona 3 becomes a a ANimation, i'm so watching it, if they were able to do 4 liek that, 3 should eb a snap, question is... will 3 just go up MInato's death or through FES.
The animation is looking much better than the P4 anime so far. I'm still sort of concerned about how well it's going to translate to the big screen. The P4 anime was excellent but then they really dropped the ball with the last episode. >_> In any case though, defs looking forward to it (AND AIGIS).
Weirdly, this may be why it works. It can spend time building up characters and tower scenes THEN PLOT. Unlike other games which have things happen.... constantly.
I'm suprised absolutely no one has actually made a thread about this on KH-V , even if they altered the manga name from Minato to Makato , I'm still really looking forward to this movie because Persona probably is one of the best plots for a video game , atleast in my opinion , if any of you didn't know about this I'm going to post a trailer below of the movie. If any of you are persona fan's , let me know what you think of this. EDIT: Whoops , I guess I didn't look hard enouh Haha!
still waiting on a subbed version of this alongside rebellion (that'll come out next month cause the dvd will) and HXH last mission any news on a dvd release?
@Kumagawa P3 will be out on BD on May 14th I wonder when they'll get this dubbed... I really enjoyed the English cast so am holding off on watching it for now. A Midsummer Knight's Dream will be out in Japan soon and we're just gonna be so behind as usual.
Everyone at the Atlus office wants to be a bird True, but maybe in lieu of that they'll have a chance to flesh out Tartarus a little more. The setting would make for some great scenery porn.
Not too long left I guess the fan subbers wanted higher quality than DVD to sub the first persona movie..
