Persona 3 announced for the PSP!

Player will now be able to select a female protagonist. In addition, some elements from Persona 4 will be added, such as the ability to control party members in battle. No word on a western release yet.

Keeping my fingers crossed for an option that makes the cast likable.

 

That's a nice surprise. I didn't know what I expected from Persona 3 FES at first, but it was so good, buying a different version even sounds like fun.

Does that mean the second game will also come to the PSP since they're already porting the first one?

 

Nothing's confirmed yet, and as far as we know there are no plans to, unfortunately.

 

They most likely are going to port the second one if they are the first and this most likely will. Atlus is somewhat loyal to fans.

Funny if it would go like this:

"OH YEAH! Were going to port the first persona game, but not the second, sorry kiddies, better luck next time!"

I loved that game, Maya is awesome and also was JOKER and i think it will definitively improve the game with voice actors and everything


girl protagonist is cute though, but kinda ruins it if her persona also is Orpheus

I heard when you play the girl, Elizabeth will be replaced with a male equivalent named Felix, and it is true that they will use P4 battle system, and they also said the story will be a bit altered even if you choose the male protagonist.


Im disappointed in Atlas, they are REALLY milking alot out of P3, even if it fixes the mistakes in the game, i honestly dont think it really diserved to be an entire brand new game

 

This is nice and all but the Female protagonist worries me greatly. I am seriously hoping NONE of the cast is changed and that it's just the option added. I seriously hope Reptar isn't right either, the story was perfect the way it is.

Personally, I don't want anything new into the story or cast. Keep everything the same. Add some new persona and keep the Female protagonist. That's decent enough for me. Then get their asses to work on a P2 on the PSP.

 

She more or less has to have the same persona

because a portion of Death is sealed inside the protagonist,

but it would make more sense if the female protagonist's persona is named Eurydice. (In Greek mythology, Eurydice is the wife of Orpheus.)

 

I'm glad to hear P3 will be improving. My friend loved this game, and she always hated being the male character. But she had her fun making girlfriends and such.
This seems good, I'll make sure to look into it.

 

Hopefully Innocent Sin makes it state side this time with a remake...
Not a fan of P3 unfortunately.

 

I think (and hope) they do make her Eurydice...it just makes sense.


And I also hope that it will stay the same, even with the female perspective...or at least some changes if you choose her.

 

Yeah, I'd played a bit of Innocent Sin and enjoyed it, so I'd love to see Atlus remake both that and Eternal Punishment one day.

More on P3P: It isn't going to include the Answer, and it's got five difficulty levels. Obviously there are going to be different events and some new characters for the female, and new events will be added to the male protagonist's path though it'll mostly be the same.

That awakening scene seemed...rushed a bit. I'm interested in how the rest of the scene will play from Thanatos ripping out from Orpheus. I'm not too impressed with the Female's music. And the ski- Cutscene thing, looks more like something from a "Tales Of" Game. Plus, the new teacher is a damn improvement. Here's hoping that she isn't like that one teacher from P4.

Why is it, the further we get into this, the less I'm liking the female side?
