I don't think I said or implied it in my last post, but I completely understand people's reasons (schoolwork, personal issues, etc.), but like I said, and going by your statement of you wanting to approach people first, just because you enable it doesn't mean people will stop contacting you first.

As for my last two paragraphs in my last post, what are your opinions on them?

 

I like avatar and sigs.

They show I have a personality.

Specifically my avatar. A cheery personality.

Without them i'd look like a blank face, with no personality.

Some people might just prefer not to be seen to the whole forum. They might be an old member that had a RAEG LEAVE and might not want to let it be seen they came back and have others think they "crawled back" to the site. Some might be a new member who's shy. Some may just like not having the blue bar beneath their avatar. There's a lot of reasons behind it, some so tiny to the person they might not even think anyone else would think something happened.

Second one is pretty much what I said in the first paragraph, a lot of members say they'll leave forever and then come back -- they might just check in and not want the other members to know they're back or visiting because they want to be "gone forever" to move on with whatever it is they needed to.

 

If i'm considered a person with no personality, I fear for the rest of you!

 

People can pretty much do whatever they want for any reason they want and you have no way to stop them and no right to criticize them.

I'm invisible on other forums because I like it that way, I don't need a reason, that's just how it is.

As for the sentence I quoted, when I was invisible because of my small get-together for my birthday that day, I could still see the "Online" bar, lol.

 

Ever heard of reverse psychology, my dear Amaury? People are just rebelling against you. I think they're going through a 'phase', maybe. They'll grow out of it!

In the meanwhile, you should try telling people to REMOVE their avatars/sigs and turn invisibility ON. Then you'll get the desired results from them. ;3
