Past Lives.

Is it possible to have lived before? Like when sometimes you meet people for the first time but you feel as though you already know them, that you've met them before. Or when you visit somewhere and instinctly know it? Sometimes children speak of memories from a time before they were born, a friend of mine used to tell her mom about a fire that that had hurt her when she was her other person (she was 3 when she sadi this).

I'm not talking about reincarnation as such but the ideas of old souls reliving, new souls starting their journey.

Do you think past lives area possibility? Any experiences as such? Or are you sceptic? Discuss...:D

Hmm. I think it's very possible, but am not completely sure. I mean, new souls living?...Ahh! I don't know.

 

Depends on what you believe, but I think (I'm not sure) but the buddhist version of this is basically saying that life is hell and nonexistence is enlightenment or something to that effect. I'm probably wrong though so no quotes.

 

honestly i dont really know if its true or not.
for all i knows, the soul could be speaking through that person.
either way i dont get it.

 

New souls living: The idea that some souls are old to the planet and have experienced many lives, whilst there are others which are only just startingthier journey! Lol i think it was a way for ppl who believe it to explain the growing population :D

I don't know, that is a very interesting idea, but I would be skeptic of putting faith in something like that. But the idea goes back to buddist idea of rencarnation. I personally don't think it is possible, I think that a person is a person, you are no one else but yourself, to me and to think of the idea of being someone else in another time period then i don't think so.

No that is called schizophrenia, or just being weird, I think it is being weird, since she is aware of it. So in a case like that no, but if it is a strongly religious person then I can see how they would think it.

 

actually i DO believe in this crap. sometimes when it seems like i'm dreaming about things that are familiar but haven't the slightest relation to my life at all. and it seems like some of my talents have been mastered quite some time ago even tho i just learned them. and have u ever thot u had memories that didn't belong to u? that's happened to me quite a few times.

 

i had an idea once that we have lived lives before and we can only remember them as young children and we forget as we get older. then i found out that young children just can create long term memories so that was that idea out the window:D but yeah it would be good if that happened, sure if you cant create matter can new souls be created or are the old ones just reused?

 

That happens to me a lot! That is partly why I posted this thread lol! So I know exactly what you mean and I also believe it! :D

Well the way I understand it is that some souls are reused and thats why certain people experience stuff like memories of different lives, but some souls are born new and are just starting out, thats why other people have no experiences, they havnt gained them yet. :D I guess since the old souls had to be created at some point then it's possible for new ones to be created too! :D

 

Maybe there is a past live, or maybe there isn't. But anyway it would be better if there is one because that would be cool.

Hmm apparently the reason we are drawn to certain people as friends etc is because subconscioulsy we recognise them from past lives! I wonder, if past lives do exist, whether I knew anyone from this site in a past life! Hmm hehehe confusing

I think that our souls are like recycled so in the past life we could of been anyone! For example I could of been Winston Churchill. I believe in this because well..... I don't want to die! I want to keep on experiencing different things from life!

 

Yeah I'll agree with that theory, all though I wouldn't have wanted to Winston Churchill lol! But not everyone has memories etc from past lives so even if you experience eveything by the time you reach your next life you'd have forgotten! hmm a lot of interesting theories are running about my head at the moment but I can't get them down:(

 

I don't believe in past lives because I'm Christian, so...

Besides, if past lives existed, that would suck. It just means that when you die, you forget who you are and just become a new person. So it's a neverending process in which you remember nothing of this life. I'd rather take my memories with me, thank you very much.
