The freedom of expression, this has been a sincere part of me for a year and a half now. T'was wondering if anyone else is a practitioner or wishes to be a traceur. It's merely an exercise to some, but to me it is a philosphy and way of life. You can check out my videos at my youtube channel www.youtube.com/dakineupdate
i parkour kind of. im more of a free runner. but i am not very good with the things requiring upper body strength, i have chest problems, but i'm good with vaulting and jumping, and im not completely useless with my upper body, i just cant do too strenuous things. but, yeah ive also been at it for about a year and a half...
yeah. but for the life of me i can NOT do the monkey vault. i have shoes 1 size too big for comfort and they always catch lol... what things are you good at?
Well, I'm not the best at flips but I'm learning. I've got all the vaults down pat, wall spins, wall scaling. The monkey/ kong vault is the basics of the basics man. All you do is jump and tuck really and pushing off with what you're vaulting over.
I do some every now and then. The latest stunt of mine was jumping off a swing and doing a roll.(I forgot what those are called.) Have you seen the movie District B13(Banlieue 13)?..
Yeah, it's a just a roll, I call them break rolls since they help you break your fall. Of course I have seen that movie, like 3 times to be precise. David Belle should definitely do more film work.
I call them ninja rolls. And yeah, I think David should do some more film work. Check out Tony Jaa. He combines parkour/free running with fighting.
My girlfriend, (her KHV name is "YummyBvorshkee"), got me into that sort of thing for a while, but we discovered fast food. . . . JK, but we did get a little bit pudgy, so we don't do it anymore. It's those damn meds! I want to get back into it so I can get back in shape... And 'cuz it was the funnest part of my athletic activities! Any pointers as to how I can start off again? What should I wear? Where should I practice? Y'know, those kinds of things. Thanks in advance! - Ol'Sephy
