Parents and School

They used to flip at me and my older bro for getting c's... but when we got to seniors in high school they're calm saying "It's good you passed".

They still flip at my little bro who is still in primary school

it stands for Not Assessed

i used to get grades like that.. not assesed is when you couldn't complete it... though i always did

 

Thanks for letting me know,I get good grades modt of the time,but my parents going nuts over bad grades,pisses me off.

 

They don't really do anything if I get a C.They'll just tell me to work harder and try to get a better grade.But a D and F is a different story.But if I do get bad grades like D's or F's,I keep it away from my parents.I used to get F's in middle school but that was because I was hanging around bad influences.But now I mostly get B's and maybe a few A's.​

 

Ahahaha!!! If I bring anything less than an A, I'm done for! I'm not even kidding. Trust me, Asian parents are hardcore to the MAX when it comes to school and grades, and I envy EVERY SINGLE kid out there that can go home with a grade less than an A and not be criticized for it...or even beaten, yes..beaten. Anything lower than an A, there goes my social life [whatever I have of it], my computer usage, my music, video games, any sports I'm in, and blah blah blah everything else I have.

I suppose the lowest I can go is a grade of A S-S [lol!!]. The S stands for satisfactory in the categories of Work Habits and Cooperation. Though they prefer E [for Excellent], they really do not care for that section as long I have the flippin' A.

 

E stands for excellence
M stands for merit
A stands for achieved
NA stands for not achieved

 

a B in English or Maths. Especially since I was a straigh A student till this year >O>

There is another I think. The thing that you get if you don't write anything down.

 

I guess I never thought it was different grading for other countries, just in changing schools.

anything below that and my parents freaked out. that's why i used to try fabricating my grades. but now that i'm in college, they dont' even find out my grades anymore (thank god).

 

My mom honestly doesn't really care. As long as I'm not failing, she's good. I mean, she certainly would let it be known that she didn't approve of something like a 70 average, but I usually get in the 85 to 95 range. My dad doesn't see my grades.

Yay you for being smart, my Dad is better than my Mom though..if I got a C he's the first one I would tell.​

 

The only time if it's bad is a D or lower. Never... do I want to recieve another R. Although, I'm getting A's and B's at this moment. If I ever got a C then they would give me a " Meh, you could do better." If it's a D then yeah I get a lecture of how I should pay more attention or ask for help, they told me teacher won't bite me but truthfully, I don't really like asking for help. Confuses me.

Ouch.If I get a C on my R/C then I get no friends,no transportation.

 

90 is the worst test grade I can bring home. He is okay with C's as long as I improve it to a B or A before the marking period has ended. I do it for my sake, I just don't want to hear him talking about my school and grades.​

 

It's best to do things for your sak eand not his.It makes you want to succeed, even with his help you don't always need his pressure.

 

Sometimes my parents get mad of a 6 (in finland the grades goes from 4 to 10) but sometimes they wont get mad even if i get a 4 :P
