This is a Spanish movie that had come out in the US in select theaters recently. I have not seen it yet but the trailers for it have been all over the TV. It has awesome reviews and looks amazing. My sis got to see it early because she takes acting classes at an art school and her teacher has special privaleges... and she said it was amazing. I'm excited about this movie.

You can see the trailers by going to the Pan's Labyrinth official website. Just search pan's labyrinth in google and you should find it.

That movie was AMAZING!!! It was so cool!! It was slightly disturbing at parts though, and it's definitely NOT for little children (rated R...oOo scary). Even though it was in Spanish (don't worry, there are subtitles) and I'm not fluent, it was still one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. The music and imagery were amazing and the plot was really creative. I highly recommend it.

This is by far one of my favorite movies ever. Except for the part where I had to translate for my sister while we watched it I just thought it was all in all amazing.

Yeah, um. You can put in subtitles/captions if you're having problems understanding the language if you watch it on DVD or if your T.V. has a caption option.

The movie was okay. The fairie's and underground world story was cool, and the history of what happens seems to be real or based on a true story. Like that movie where these two girls see fairies and no one believed them.

Bless the bumpage of this thread ;D

I LOVE "El laberinto del fauno" (true title of the movie).
At first,I thought the faun was evil but I was wrong x3
I got mad when Ofelia ate the food when she was not supposed to,thanks to her that monster ate those poor faeries.

The ending was pretty confusing to me
It made me think "Did she returned to the kingdom for real or was it just a dream?"

I just watched this movie this weekend and have to say it is one of the best movies I have seen. The story was just amazingly well thought out and very sad. It kept going on with a nice flow and the ending left it up to mystery whether what the girl saw was real or not. Even though it is in Spanish, the subtitles are well done and you can easily forget you are actually reading subtitles because the actors are so good in it and the story is so vibrant. It is rated R and has a couple scenes in it that you can see why it gets the rating, but it's not too bad in gore other than those couple scenes which had reasons why they happened. I was really impressed with the movie though at first I was very surprised it was in Spanish.

It's my favourite movie of all time!! I've seen it so many times, I don't even need the subtitles anymore! Lol
Which is kinda lame coz I can speak Spanish anyway but I don't know all of it yet...
But the ending was so sad... I cried, and I don't cry ofen in movies.

You can thank Tootsie for making me buy it after loads of pondering.

Lovely and deep movie, I adore the music in it - that lullaby has something special over it, sad yet soothing. Also, I find it interesting that the world we are in was shooted in cold colours, while the other world had more warmth in it. That is how I see it at least.

And lol, I freak out if I see a movie WITHOUT subtitles.

That movie kinda...creeped me out. I didn't like it that much. It was just so sad...I hated the part when that Captain guy beats the **** out of the kid's nose. It was almost as if this movie had no real point to it, but that's just me.

It's gotta be the best fantasy film ever. Sure, it was creepy, but a kind of creepy that made me want to watch it over and over.

I think that was the most 'graphic' part of the movie that made me blink at first too and I assumed that's where much of the rating of R came in. That captain was such a jerk for smashing that guy's face in with the bottle. It was really too graphic in a way but other than that, nothing really approached me as so bad I had to go 'woah' at. I see why they showed that scene though to make us understand how much of an arrogant fascist the guy was.

Yeah, that made me wonder, too. I mean, there was a fair amount of blood in it, but that was mainly it. Hmmmmm..... Maybe it was the guy with the eyeballs in his hands? I don't know. I don't think it should've been rated R, though. 14A or 18A would've been better.
