Basically its about a girl who learns that she was part of an underWorld myth and she had escaped. When she finds out she must do all sorts of things to get back to the underworld. At the same time she must protect herself against the nazi's(takes place in 1944) at the same time it is sad. So in very short its basically or sort of like Narnia only completely different, and a lot better I even have to agree. Too bad its not a book...

this movie was amazing! one of my favorites. just to point out though, she wasnt protecting herself against the nazi's. she was protecting herself against the spanish fascists... they were suppose to represent Franco, the dictator of that time. the nazis were in germany and lead by hitler. these guys were different. still just as terrible, though.

    anyways, LOVE the movie!!!!

This film was so well made and well written, it was amazing. The story was fully immersive and you really felt for the charaters, which made the ending even more painful :cryinganime:

There were so many twists in the plot that it made it very exciting as well. And the level of mythology and folk tale was very impressive.
