I've rented and Bought too many games that ended up being a total dissapointment and that are totally over rater. Assasin's Creed, Lair, and Turak for example. They're all way too repetative. Assasin's creed got a freaking 9 out of 10. I was so pissed when I beat it. I just rented Turak thinking a 7 out of 10 would be at least a pretty fun game, but after only about 10-15 minutes of gameplay I'm so bored and pissed off. I want games that are actually fun. I'd give Devil May Cry 4 a try but I'm not going to until I know for sure that it is worth it. I've never played the Devil May Cry Games, so I was wondering if DMC4 explains what happened in the preveous games. Besides that, I would like to know what the best games are at this current time. Thank you very much in advance.

Perhaps you shouldn't be listening to reviews before you play games? It sounds like you're forming a bias before you even start playing.

I don't know what to tell you about DMC4. From what I've been hearing it's not that great.

If I were you, I'd just be glad I have a PS3 and can buy games for it.

I loved Assassin's Creed, but yes, I also dislike Lair and Turok. Devil May Cry 4 is amazing. It's like Kingdom Hearts with blood, no Disney (LMFAO) or Final Fantasy, and a story that you can understand.

true reviews from users are GENERALLY not reliable becuz they're usually very biased. most of the time, a person wouldn't even bother writing a review unless they felt that strong about the game.

I just don't listen to reviews at all. If I want to play that game, I'll play that game.

    *shrugs*

Anyway, I have heard Lair was a letdown. I wouldn't know myself since I haven't played it.

With DMC 4, you don't need to play the previous games to understand. It would help but it is not necessary.

That's why you don't buy games, you Rent them.

The majority of games ever worth actually purchasing are Multiplayer games (Online or Offline) which allow for much longevity so long as you have friends, or so long as the online community stays active/bearable/fun.

Which may be why FPSs, MMOs, or Online games in general are liked a lot. Solo games are great games, no doubt, with tons of unique and fascinating experiences, but you feel really disappointed when you beat them once and find that you're really never going to play that game again...

Whereas you may get through Halo's single player in a jip, but fear not dear sir, there are 3 million people online daily playing Halo's online, and you can join right in! New maps and content is being added every few months, tons of skills ranks and fancy medals and stat tracking is abound to satisfy your ADD and love for shiny things and bigs numbers! So the game doesn't die even for months/years so long as you like what the game is and have friends to play with, the experience is changing and improving (most of the time). You can even get tired of the game and quit for a few months, go back and find that, hey, the online community is still there.

He's saying that the reviews of the games he bought were really positive which made him excited and hyped to play the games, but when he actually played them he found them disappointing.

If he were reading negative reviews of the game and held a bias against them as bad games, he wouldn't spend money on them, he'd just blatantly troll saying they're bad games without playing them.

Assassin's Creed...fun but repetitive...Still it has one of the best storylines/plots ever (to me anyways). I can't believe that people always hate cliffhangers though...Other games that you should play is Ratchet and Clank ToD, maybe Heavenly Sword (was it good??), Eye of Judgement (my friend liked it), obviously Call of Duty 4, Rainbow 6 Las Vegas, and Resistance. That is a good list of PS3 games. I heard Warhawk was disappointing but it looks cool, I think Uncharted (since it is a Ubisoft game) is also a good game. Hopefully when Prince of Persia 4/Ghosts of Past (maybe in 2009) and The Force Unleashed come out...hopefully they will be awesome for the PS3. Now that is a list worthy of Chuck Norris (or not).

Heavenly Sword would be a Rent. I'm not gonna say it's a bad game, but it's not a game to drop $50 on, the game is...very very very short, and there's nothing to do once you beat it.

If you bought a game and you don't like it, sell it on eBay for the price you bought it, especially if you only played it once and it's like new condition, you can get your money back that way. Then you can use that money to rent more games. LOL.

Playstation Home anybody? In my mind that's the biggest overrated thing the PS3 has in ints arsenal and it's constantly delayed.

You thought Lair was gonna be good? It was the worst rated PS3 exclusive game in 2007...

It's sort of like PS3 Sims based entirely off the PlayStation Network.
