Ouran High School Host Club

Yuzuha listened to the boys explain. As they spoke, minute changes in her stance showed that she was calming down as well: relaxing shoulders, longer breath, gentler hold on Hikaru's shoulder, softer expression. She met her husband's eye and exchanged a silent understanding.


Binjiro nodded to his wife and looked again at the boys. "Alright, I think we can work these problems out. Thank you for explaining." his eyes again flicked to his wife before he continued. She seemed calmer which was a good sign that the boys were behaving much better. "Hikaru, your reactions are obviously over the top tonight. But what do you think of them? Do you think you've earned back your freedom from being grounded?" although he didn't know the full details, he could see where things had run since the boys returned from school and what Yuzuha had been attempting to do, even if it hadn't worked very well. (sorry for the color change, this one is easier to read though so i'll stick to it.)

 

Hikaru didn't have to think long to answer that question. He would be a fool not to say otherwise. "I don't think Kaoru or I should be grounded because we've learned our lesson from being lectured. I admit I was out of line, but I'll work on that. The summer is just around the corner and I would like to have my freedom again."

"Hikaru didn't mean to say all of those things or grab me. You know he gets offensive and doesn't think before he reacts." The youngest twin attempted to cover for his brother. "If there has to be a punishment then can you at least change it from grounding to something else?"

 

The two adults exchanged another look. Binjiro rubbed the back of his neck tiredly. "I think we can work something out... as long as you work on your temper. I cannot abide you lashing out at your mother and brother." he looked to his wife. "What do you think of making this a warning?" he suggested, his easy going nature showing in the easy way out punishment.

Yuzuha had a feeling this wasn't going to help but she nodded and looked at her sons. "And I want you two to come home immidiatly after your club from now on. If you want your friend to come over, let me know before you drive home. I'm glad you two want to help her but I do not want you two out so late for a while." she knew that wasn't really a punishment, but she didn't know what else to say.

 

(OOC: Oh boy. Smooth talker and they are both living up to their devilish ways. Hikaru reminds me of one of my friends who takes advantage of the situation and thinks only for himself. XD I'm more like Kaoru, soft spoken and cautious though I can be impulsive and blunt like Hikaru. What about you guys?)

They both glanced at one another and frowned, but at least their freedom was in their sights. "All right we'll let you know for now on."

Karou glanced at the clock on the wall that read past 10 pm and yawned now realizing the trouble that they got themselves into had lasted for over two hours. "So much for taking a quick swim," he shrugged his shoulders.

Hikaru however was not one to care about the time. When he wanted to do something he did it regardless what anyone thought. "So what if it's past 10. We're not twelve. We could just go in for an hour or so. I don't see anything wrong with that," he turned to leave assuming both of his parents were done talking with him.

"Uh... excuse me," Kaoru quickly bowed to his parents and ran after him. "But do you think mother and father would allow it? It's a school night and we are still in trouble I think. Well you anyway."

"Correction half day tomorrow and I'm sure they are fine with it. They haven't said anything to me have they?" His grin was mischevious. "Besides when we have Haruhi over we can see her in her bathing suit."

Kaoru's impush smile surfaced thinking of that image. "Not that I remember and the boss will go balistic that we get to see her and he won't." He rubbed his hands together. "As for tonight we were planning on swimming when we got home anyway." Kaoru fell into his brother's manipulation tactics once more and bolted past him. "Meet you in the pool and the jazuzzi," he laughed.

 

OOC: i think i fall into the kaoru category. idk, garexna what cha think?

BIC: The twins parents watched them run off. Yuzuha sat down at the table first and shook her head. "I don't know what we'll do with them. Maybe this Haruhi will be a help though. I've never heard them talk about a friend before, esspically not a girl." she smiled softly, knowing that the two were getting to the point in their lives where they share everything.

Binjiro patted his wife's shoulder. "Yes, this is going to be interesting. I'm going to bed." he kissed her cheek and headed up stairs, leaving her to her thoughts and sketches.

 

(OOC: Kind of both for me so it's hard to say.)

"You wish I'll be the one to beat you." Hikaru caught up with his brother in a matter of seconds reaching their room before he did. "Told ya I win." Changing out of his clothes, he felt a sense of freedom the moment he threw his school blazer, dress shirt and tie on the ground. "Ah much better. Hurry up and change Kaoru. The more time you waste the shorter our time will be." Hikaru went to another part of the room to change his pants and boxers to his swim trunks.

"I'm almost done," Kaoru called from the bathroom as he changed into his swim trunks and lay his clothes on the hamper except for his blazer that he placed neatly on the bed.

Both gazelles *ahem* boys bounded down the stairs almost running into their father and leaped down the other ones at the bottom. Noticing their mother, they rushed past her and down one of the hallways leading towards the back of the mansion and into the pool. They were greeted by the cool gust of wind. "Ah cold!" Running back inside, they pulled two towels from one of the bathroom's cabinets, darted back out, and instantly turned on the jets to the jacuzzi. It didn't take long for the hot tub to heat up with them both in it.

Hikaru lay his head back starring at the stars above and relaxed his tense muscles. He was looking forward to his plans that would come through after all. "Glad I'm out of that mess. I thought I was going to get the belt for sure. Then again father is a pushover," he shrugged. "Wish mother was more like that. Then we could get away with anything we wanted."

Kaoru smirked and held his right hand in his left squeezing the water to where it squirted upwards. "I'm surprised you didn't get the belt across your butt or slapped across the face or anything like that. Father must be exhausated and didn't want to deal with your whinning." He jumped back a bit from being splashed in the face.

"I admit I've come real close to it, but I guess you can say luck is on my side. Mother could of belted me easily, but maybe she thought I would make a huge deal and didn't want to deal with my attiude." He shrugged his shoulders and splashed the water on his shoulders. "I know how to get myself out of anything. That's why we're fortunate to have such passive parents. Mother on the other hand can be strict, but she never follows through on discipline since she hates it herself." Hikaru laughed under his throat. "Other parents on the other hand would have given us our eighth or ninth whipping among other measures of discipline."

"No kidding. They would have pulled their hair out by now. Can you imagine having a strict father like Kyoya's or a stuck up witch like the boss's grandmother? That's what I call strict."

"If I did I would of ran away or got even with them somehow," Hikaru dunked Kaoru's head under water. "But we don't and can do the hell what ever we want with some exceptions." He let his brother come up for air.

"Hikaru that wasn't fair," Kaoru coughed and playfully tackled him trying to dunk his head underneath not paying attention to the time that was after 11pm and heading into the next day.

Hikaru and Kaoru were having to much fun forgetting they even had a curfew to be in bed by. Both laughing and making such a ruckuss outside, the staff were beginning to question the parental style of the two hitachiin sons though were afraid to tell the madam and her husband of how they were raising the heirs.

 

The twins stayed later after curfew well into the hours of the night that it was actually some of the staff members that went outside to the pool and jazuzzi area. Hikaru and Kaoru both gave uninterested looks upon the household help and shooed them away with their hand.

"If you have a problem with it go tell our mother. Like she would care anyway," Hikaru rose from the jazuzzi.

"But you won't because you're afraid aren't you?" Kaoru stepped out first drying himself off as he spoke.

"We're fully aware what time it is so do us a favor and get lost," Hikaru ordered her to leave. "I swear I wish the help would stay the hell out of our business," he walked inside dripping wet with Kaoru.

"I guess they have nothing better else to do then play nannies to us like we're still eight or twelve," Kaoru headed upstairs and into their bedroom and bathroom.

 

By the time the twins came inside Yuzuha had joined her husband in bed and both were fast asleep after an exahasuting day. Yuzuha fell asleep hoping the boy's new friend could knock some sense into them as well as wondering why they never brought any of their host club friends over.

Haruhi stretched after a full night of studying and homework. She felt very confident about her school work, as usual, but tired. Glancing at the clock she frowned; it was getting late and her father was still out. He'd probably come back the next morning but as usual she wanted to wait up. So she packed up her school books and work, changed into pjs, made a midnight snack, and crawled onto the couch to wait. It didn't take long for her eyes to shut, the plate she held to slip from her fingers to the floor with a dull thud, and her mind to fall into dreams.

 

After Hikaru and Kaoru got ready for bed, they fell asleep only to sleep for only 4 hours. It was time to wake up and face another day at school, but at least it was only a half day. Both groaning and rubbing thier sleepy eyes they glanced at the clock and sighed.

"School starts in two hours," he hit the alarm clock with his wrist and rolled over on his side. "I wish it was Sunday," his voice sounded muffled for he was laying aganist his pillow with another pillow on top of his head. The moment he woke up, his stomach was uneasy and so he decided to remain in bed not wanting to get up to fast. "Should of not eaten so late or stayed out past midnight," he caressed his stomach easing the pain he felt there.

Karou yawned and leaned over towards his brother, shaking for him to get up. "I'm going to go ahead and use the bathroom first," he insisted since Hikaru was not going to get up anytime soon.

"Go. Go ahead and I'll get up after you're done." He shooed him away with his left arm. "Be sure not to be in there that long. I need to use it too." Hikaru rolled onto his side tucking another pillow between his legs and across his chest to comfort his body.

"I'll be in here for at least twenty minutes." Kaoru called from the bathroom door and kept it unlocked in case his brother needed to get something from in there.

"Yeah whatever," Hikaru tried to fall back asleep and failed miserably due to the early hours of the morning. "Why does school have to start at 7am? Who ever thought of such a rule should be drug out into the street and shot." He complained rubbing his right hand through his messed up hair.

Inside the bathroom, Kaoru shook his head from the complaining on the other side of the door while he soaped up his skin with luxrious body wash in a bath puff, followed by expensive products of shampoo and conditioner for his hair.

 

Haruhi woke up to a very faint, but quite grating, beeping. She bleerily opened her eyes and tried to stand up but her limbs and neck were all sore from sleeping on the couch in a bad position. Slowly moving each leg and arm before cracking her neck, she got up and shook everything out. Her father must have come home because a blanket fell off her body to the floor. "Oh Dad..." she sighed, folding the blanket up and grogily going to the bathroom for her morning shower. On the way she peeked into her father's room to find him snoring away, obviously out like a light.

Hunny woke up promptly without an alarm; his internal clock was more accurate and woke him up every day at the same time. "hm..." he yawned, stretching his arms over his head with Usa-chan dangling above him from a hand. As usual he was quite well rested and happy to be awake (as no one had made the mistake of waking him in the night) so he hopped out of bed and ran down the hall for his sugary breakfast.

 

OOC: I'm so sorry, guys! I'll try to post something soon. I'm finished with my performing arts commitments, so I've got a bit more free time. But with transferring schools and upcoming finals, I'm still pretty busy.

 

OOC: don't worry :) we all understand, take care of life out there and we shall wait for you here ^^

 

(OOC: That's right. We're here just to have fun after all. Sorry for not posting pictures with my posts. Haven't been on my laptop where my huge collection is stored. I'll get back to that though.

Kaoru finished his shower and came out in a towel wrapped around his waist due to the fact that his school uniform was hanging in his closet. "Hey Hikaru the bathroom is all yours." With a concern gaze, he walked over and tapped him on the shoulder to wake him if he was asleep. "You okay? Are you not feeling well?" Kaoru went about his task of getting dressed in front of one of the large mirrors.

Hikaru regretfully rolled onto his side and forced himself up to his foot where he began to stagger. "You could say that, but I'll be fine. It was just something I ate last night that didn't agree with me." Shrugging his shoulders as if nothing was wrong, I went into the bathroom and closed the door only to stare blankly at himself before stepping into the steamed shower. Sighing his hands turned the knobs releasing the water jets that slicked back his hair just below his shoulders. "I feel awful, but I have to go to school and just fake like nothing is wrong. Haruhi or the others won't know the difference." Hikaru convinced himself while he bathed, rinsed off the bodywash, shampoo and conditioner and came out only to get dressed in a slow fashion. "I hope we don't have anything heavy for breakfast," was his quick reply as he finished fixing his tie.

 

After her shower Haruhi felt much more awake and ready for school. She went about her daily routine before heading out the door to school: change into uniform, pack school bag, pack a lunch, make Dad a lunch, check on Dad again, tidy up the apartment. As she walked down the street towards school she checked her watch. It was a cheap one but something she'd picked out to be a little more masculine than her old watch. Right on time. she thought to herself.

 

Instantly a pair of maids walked into the room to see if the young masters were ready to eat their breakfast. Hikaru and Kaoru followed the pair downstairs and handed their school bags to another servant who took those bags and placed them in the back of one of the cars. Once at the table, the food attendant second to the one of the chefs brought out their oatmeal, orange juice and bagels. He gestured out his hand for them to sit and walked away leaving the boys to their meal.

Kaoru consumed his food taking time to drink his juice gradually and glance at his twin every now and then. Tapping the side of his glass with a spoon would be irratating enough to get Hikaru's attention. "So..." he tried to start a conversation, "you took a long time coming out of the bathroom. You must of really enjoyed the shower I bet."

Hikaru whom was not in the mood for small chat tensed and forced himself to eat half of his meal, leaving parts of the bagel not touched and the oatmeal half consumed. "I like to take longer showers than you. The steam is good for my pores and clears my head." He got up from the table abruptly leaving the maids to clean up what he had not touched.

Kaoru bounded after his brother, swung his left arm around his neck in a playful manner. "I'm not looking forward to sitting in a classroom bored out of my mind either, but at least it's only for half a day and plus Haruhi will be there so that's something to look forward too."

Hikaru carefully brushed his brother's arm off of him and headed towards the outside of their mansion where the car was parked in front ready to take them to the prestigious academy. "I guess you're right about that. I'm just not feeling like myself today. I have a lot on my mind."

Kaoru could tell his brother was telling part of the truth, but not all of it. "Oh is it like you're having doubts about our plan? I see your point, but we'll make it happen." He cheered him up. Kaoru got into the back of the car, and sat in silence . "I'll follow him more closely today if I have to. Something is not right," he said to himself.

 

Haruhi made it to school fairly early, like she always did. Paranoid of being late, she made a point of getting to Ouran early and studying there instead of studying at home and risking the bell ringing before she arrived. She wandered the for once quiet halls, reading over notes for her history class without worrying about bumping into anyone.

 

As soon as the car arrived onto the school grounds, Hikaru got out with his twin brother and headed towards the main campus. He walked in a slow fashion not caring if he was late to class or not. The corridors were beginning to fill up with the chatter of school mates. Heading through one of the halls with an uneasy feeling that wasn't going away, he passed by one of the restrooms and decided to go in. With his palms on the edge of the sink he gazed at his reflection in the mirror before looking away to wash his hands, dry and moisturize them with the hand lotion that was provided by the school. The warning bell rang just as he was glancing around inside, followed by some other male students that left the bathroom to get to class.

Kaoru had followed him inside and chose to lean his cheek towards him as if Hikaru was a wall. Nuzzling his twin, Kaoru closed his eyes and rubbed the side of his face in upwards and downwards motion signaling that he was there for him. Kaoru was pleased that Hikaru recipocated with the same gesture. Nothing else mattered at this time. It was just them and that's all that mattered. Their brotherly moment was cut short, when a school offical walked inside only to warn them about what would happen if they were late. Kaoru watched Hikaru roll his eyes in annoyance while walking out where there he stopped not taking a single step. Kaoru got the hint that Hikaru did not want to leave without his brother by his side. Quickly catching up, Kaoru walked alongside Hikaru as they entered their first class, history. Both of them were anticipating seeing Haruhi walk in any minute before the bell rang for the final time.

 

The warning bell startled Haruhi out of her reading and awakened her to her location: the other side of the school. She groaned to herself before taking a fast paced walk towards History. Luckily she got there in plenty of time and took her seat next to the twins a few minutes before the bell rang. "Good morning Hikaru, good morning Kaoru." she greeted them, slightly out of breath. Her eyes flicked between meeting their eyes in her usual respectful way and to her bag where she was putting away her notes and retreiving school supplies for the class.

 

Hikaru and Kaoru from thier respected seats both glanced at the tired young girl in which the school thought she was a guy. She appeared to be out of breath like she had run a marathon. "Hey Haruhi how are you?" With their features now brightend they were about to speak more until the teacher banged a ruler on the desk for the class to stop talking. Instantly both of the twins rolled their eyes and sighed in unison cause the teacher had the floor.

Kaoru pulled his text book out of his bag and rested his elbows on the thick cover. A yawn was followed by his left hand covering his hand to hide that he was yawning. The teacher was dull as dirt that even watching paint dry would be more exciting. With a pen in his right hand, he leaned the end of the handle towards his mouth in boredom almost tasting the smooth plastic.

Hikaru leaned back in his chair in a slouching postiton where he felt like his eyes were going to go to the back of his head. "I go to school for this?" He mumbled softly. The chairs were not comfortable and one would think with how much money the private high school had, the faculity would invest in comfortable seating. No they wanted the kids to feel uncomfortable and sit up right to keep them awake. Drumming his fingers on the desk, the endless tapping was almost sounding like a beat. Not satisfied with how he was seated, he repositioned himself several times, but this time with his legs planted firmly on the ground and his head leaning on his elbows.

 

Haruhi mostly ignored the twin's fidgiting. Their teacher wasn't the most exciting individual on Earth but she liked to listen to history lessons. This was only difficult to do because her twin peers would not stop moving and muttering. Plus Hikaru's drumming fingers was starting to sound like he was drumming on her skull. She sent the two a 'shush' glance.
