Ouran High School Host Club

(OOC: I'm feeling a little better now. Thanks everyone. This is going to be a brief post, but in the future I'll try to post longer ones.)

Kaoru shuddered at the look his mother gave his brother. He didn't want to get on her bad side especially in front of Haruhi. That would make matters worse. "Hikaru..." he warned, his tone hestiant and shaky to say the least.

"Kaoru I know what I'm doing. Just let me handle it." He gave his twin a smile. Hikaru shrugged his shoulders at the moment his mother gave him a warning look. Instead of saying a word, he simply took the phone from Haruhi. Speaking directly into it, he got to the point. "Hello Mr. Fugioka. I need to discuss some terms with you. You see what happened is that your daugther accidently caused my twin brother Kaoru to wind up in the emergency room all because she grabbed his sleeve and wouldn't let go and after he had told her a few times to let go of him. If you want the details of the situation and of my brother's injuries you can talk to my mother. I don't want to state them over the phone. It's to emotional for me. So because Haruhi can't obviously pay for the medical bill, I have come up with a solution that won't put you in jeopardy, but I need your permission as her father to let it happen. She would work off her debt at my estate, live there and accompany us on our trip to America." He ended his conversation waiting to hear from him.

i'll take over writing Ranka for a few posts and then hope someone will have taken him next time he comes up in the story lol

BIC: Ranka listened, his eyes widening as Hikaru explained. "Where are all of you? I'll be there as quickly as possible. I'm not giving you permission over the phone." he replied, fingers tapping on the back of the phone. Already he was going to find his boss and explain leaving early. His hand went over the mouth peice of the phone and a muttered conversation could be heard. Luckily for Ranka, he was a valued employee and his boss knew how much he loved his daughter; he was given the rest of the day off, although, without pay.

Haruhi watched Hikaru, shaking her head. Her gaze moved to Kaoru who seemed better. The fact that he could sit up and stand a little actually let her relax slightly. Despite Hikaru's idea that she was only guilty, she wanted Kaoru to be okay and didn't want this whole 'debt' obsession to get him too worked up or upset. She knew excitement was not good for recovering patients.

 

Kaoru heard part of the conversation and shook his head now knowing that their plan of getting Haruhi to the mansion wasn't going to be so easy as they expected. First they had to get past "daddy" and from what he heard, the guy sounded very protective. "I guess it's good that you got to talk to him for a little bit," the youngest twin tried to smooth out the rough waters that meaning his older brother's temper.

Hikaru sighed and impatiently looked around the room knowing that Ranka was buying some time rather than accepting the offer. This plan of his would be harder than he thought, but when Haruhi's dad arrived, the devilish twin would explain in vivid detail about what happened to Kaoru and make Haruhi appear to be the guilty verdict. "You have a hour to get here or I will call you again and next time I won't be so generous," he spoke bluntly before hanging up not so sure if Haruhi's dad had heard him or not. Better yet that he didn't hear him. The situation was complicated as it was and more problems that were added to it would only lengthen the mess. "Great now I have to wait for him to get here. I hope he doesn't drag his feet and take his sweet time just to annoy me furthur." He sighed with a bore and sat down in a chair not giving his mother a single look. Instead he focused his attention on Haruhi and Kaoru. "So while we're waiting what else needs to be said out in the open?" He directed his question to anyone whom was still in the room.

 

Haruhi's lips had parted slightly in shock at how Hikaru spoke to her father. He wasn't just rude anymore, he'd right out threatened her father. I'll keep queit now but I'm done with that boy. I don't need a friend who treats my family with so little respect. she mentally ranted to herself, storing away her anger until later when she could deal with it privatly.

Ranka, luckily, didn't hear the last comment as he was already hanging up and heading out the door. He grabbed a cab quickly thanks to his feminine apperance, and was at the hosipital in about ten minutes. A few more minutes passed as he found the room and, as was his wont, he burst into the room with the usual flowery entrenace. "Haruhi! What is going on!? Oh my daughter!" he swept her up into a big bear hug.

"AH! Dad put me down! You can't do that in a hospital!" she chastized her skirt clad father. A small mischevious part of her hoped the twins got a good shock out of her father's apperence but the more level headed and promenent portion of her personality hoped Kaoru didn't get too startled and hurt more.

Yuzuha leapt to her feet as the man burst through the door. At first she thought the woman was in the wrong room but as haruhi called 'her' Dad, she put the peices together. "Sir, please do not make such a fuss in front of my son, he's under alot of stress from the injuries." she kindly warned Ranka. "Please sit down, we have alot to discuss it appears." at this she sent her son's a sharp glance before offering Ranka the seat next to her's.

 

(OOC: It's been awhile since I have replied hasn't it? Sorry I've been swamped with other things.)

Kaoru was uneasy upon discovering that Haruhi's mother was actually her father. He was not going to say anything though so not to make a fool of himself in front of Haruhi. No Hikaru would be the one to do something like that.

Hikaru's expression was priceless when he saw what he thought was a woman embrace Haruhi. "Okay that's odd," he said to himself. Being the prideful guy he was, he had purposely been what others would call "harsh" just to make sure that Haruhi's father knew how important it was for him to show up. Not that Hikaru would ever threaten to harm someone physically, but emotionally depending on the situation he was capable of it. Taking a seat next to his twin brother, Hikaru got down to business, flashing Haruhi a glance of sincerity hinted with sarcasism. "Glad you took my message seriously Haruhi's father because I have tried other methods in the past and others would brush me off so I had to resort to that kind of method. It was not meant to be rude or threaten you in any way, but it was cruical that you came because this whole ordeal is the reason why my brother is in a hospital bed no thanks to your daughter, but we'll get to that bit of information in due time."

 

Ranka raised a perfectly groomed eyebrow at Hikaru's explaination. He wasn't sure he'd exactly call it an apology but it didn't seem to matter at the moment. "Yeeees, so I see." he replied, eyeing Kaoru. "I'm terribly sorry to see someone was badly hurt but... still I don't see what you want from Haruhi exactly. How long do you want her at your house and what kind of work will she be doing? As you should know, I cannot pay this kind of hospital bill and keep a living place for my daughter and me but I can't allow Haruhi to put her school work at risk because she's working all the time." Ranka spoke while gently pushing haruhi into the chair Yuzuha offered him. He rested his hands on haruhi's shoulders protectivly.

Yuzuha nodded. "those are execellent questions. Hikaru, Kaoru, did you two have a time frame in mind?" she asked her boys. She knew the twins were intellegent enough to have some kind of real plan in mind; and if they didn't, she and Ranka would step in to help.

Haruhi sat down from her father's pressuring and looked up at him. Her father's expression was friendly and polite, he seemed to be willing to work out whatever was needed. But she knew him better than anyone did; she could tell by the calm voice, which he never used, and by the grip on her shoulders that he was very upset and worried. She smiled when he looked down at her and patted his hand. "Dad, it'll be fine. It's just a job like the club or those summer jobs I get." she assured him quietly.

Kaoru cleared his throat to speak for his brother since Hikaru had previously done all of the talking. It wasn't easy dealing with matters that were out of his control, but the youngest of the twins would assure Ranka that Haruhi would be fine. "Oh don't worry about the time frame. She'll stay with us through the summer and of course her studies will come first before anything. Once school starts again, she will still be living with Hikaru and I, but you can visit anytime you like." Kaoru smiled at Haruhi's father in a friendly manner.


Hikaru brought his hand to his brother's chest and gentely pushed him down on the bed. "Don't tire yourself out Kaoru. You need your strength." Being the oldest of the twins, Hikaru took the lead to finish his brother's response. "I'm thinking she could be with us for a least a year, but it depends how much the hospital bill is so it's hard to tell. Haruhi may be staying with Kaoru and I for a while. That doesn't bother you does it because if it does then we'll have to work out some other arrangment that would be unforunate." Hikaru paused and glanced at Haruhi not caring what she thought of him. In his eyes at this very moment, her looks or threats if any could not scare him even though he secretly yearned for her, but would never admit it."You see I'm being very generous and I know others who wouldn't go as far, but my brother's wellbeing means everything to me and depending on the lastest medical results from his tests, well then you can only imagine the kind of hell I'm experiencing right now. Imagine if things get worse." His golden eyes widned and then slanted to slits before returning to normal.

 

OOC: *points to self* Writer's block. Yay.... -__-

 

OOC: aw! u need a muse deary

BIC: Ranka stiffened ever so slightly at Hikaru's attitude as he felt Haruhi do the same. He looked down at his daughter, who he so adored, and sighed. "Haruhi, it's up to you. I don't want to let you go, esspically for a year and to these... boys... but I trust you'll be safe. And..." tears whelled in his eyes dramaticly, "And I can't take care of my baby with such a debt!" he flung his arms around his daughter and squeezed tightly.


Haruhi didn't fight her father, for once, and patted his back. "O,okay Dad. It's okay, I'll just, I'll be fine. What's one more debt?" she prodded his back, trying to get a smile or a loosened hold (she was beginning to have a hard time breathing from his hug) "Besides, maybe I can help Ms.Yuzuha with modeling or as an assistent to help pay off the debts?" she suggested, looking over her father's arm to the twins questioningly.

Ranka sniffed back tears and nodded, letting go. He did like the idea of a female influence on his daughter: she acted like a boy so often. "Alright, I will take Haruhi home to pack and bring her over to your estate this evening." he agreed, turning to Yuzuha with a bow and then the twins for a shorter one. "I am quite sorry for the whole experience but I'm sure this nice hospita will have Kaoru better in no time. And Haruhi is a wonderful nurse when the occassion calls."

 

(OOC: I got back from Comic Con and it was a blast. I'll post pictures soon.)

Hikaru was relived that Ranka had left and agreed to his terms. At last his plans were going into action, but one of them was never having Kaoru get hurt. He felt bad that his twin was in pain and had to go through such misery, but at least Haruhi was going to be staying with them. It was odd that Tamaki had not once opened his mouth to put his two cents in. Did he not hear that Haruhi would be staying with the two people that drove him bananas? It was like he was in a whole another world or maybe he was just shocked from such the sudden turn of events. "Yo boss. Did you not hear what just happened? Geez come back to reality already." Regardless there was nothing that could be done to change anyone's mind.

Kaoru only starred at his brother, his mother and Haruhi, taking his eyes over to Tamaki once in a while. He was surprised that their king had not reacted either. "Either the boss is shell shocked or is just completly stupid to say anything."

 

OOC: that sounds really fun. can't wait to see pics

BIC:Haruhi stood up to leave with her dad. She had a feeling the faster she left, the less chance of Tamaki jumping on her and freaking out there was. He was probably in shock and that would only last so long. She gave Yuzuha a respectful bow, gently hugged Kaoru so she wouldn't hurt any of his bruises or broken bones, and waved to Hikaru and Tamaki.

Yuzuha bowed her head slighty to Haruhi and Ranka, "We will see you this evening and I'll have our maids make up a room for you before you arrive. If you need any help transporting your things, don't hesitate to call." she handed Ranka a business card with her home number, cell, and work numbers neatly printed under an elegant designer's logo.

Ranka grasped Haruhi's hand as soon as she'd finished her good byes and nearly hauled her out of the room, tucking the card into his purse with a quick 'thank you'. "Haruhi... oh this is so worrying." she moaned once they were walking out of the hospital. "You must call me everyday!"

 

OOC: I wanted to go!!! D: I got a job instead.... >> I worked 10 hours yesterday!! >< So uh... anyone wanna give me a sentence or two on what Tama-chan should be doing? ^^'

 

(OOC: Okay well Tamaki can react from what Hikaru said about Haruhi living with him and Kaoru. I would imagine he would act like a child and throw a tantrum saying that "daddy is going to protect his little girl.")

Hikaru was not to surprised by the slow reaction from his boss. Maybe Tamaki had blown a fuse and needed some time to recover. In the end, the guy was always an idiot. Charming and sospicated, but a moron through and through. "Hmmm maybe I'll have to dumb down my words for him." Hikaru waved his hand in front of Tamaki's eyes to get his attention."Hey boss did you even hear what I said? Are you actually okay with this or maybe you don't understand so I will say it in a way you will understand like a dumb caveman." He took a step closer talking to him in a condensenting tone. "Haruhi... will... be... staying... with Kaoru and I... in the same house... for a long time... There is nothing... you... can do about it." He ended his sardonic attitude by sticking out his tongue and pullling the skin of his lower eyelid just above his right eye downwards.

 

Yuzuha tapped a finger on her forehead, closing her eyes to think over everything. "I'm going to call home and inform the maids about what's happening. Koaru, you rest. Hikaru, don't excite your brother." she instructed, kissing her injured son on the forehead and tapping the end of Hikaru's nose in a motherly fashion, before walking out of the room and back to the hospital phone.

Haruhi and her father packed Haruhi's things.

 

(OOC: Ah you got to be kidding? What happened to my other posts?)

Hikaru watched his mother leave and shrugged his shoulders. He didn't care what she thought or not. He wasn't hurting Kaoru at all. What did she know about them anyway besides the fact she was their mother she had no idea how close they were to one of another. No she could never understand their deep bond. "I'm not going do anything to hurt him," Hikaru uttered out of the side of his mouth. His mother needed to just chill and Tamaki of all people needed to react in some way or another.

 

OOC: arg, stupid hacker >.< what a useless thing for them to do

BIC: Yuzuha closed the door after Hikaru's remark. She stood outside the door staring at the wall. Hikaru's tone told her exactly what he was thinking and it was another knife in her heart today, not that that would ever enter her precious sons' minds. They cut her off as always, nevermind the fact that Kaour was her baby, her beautiful baby who was hurt. nevermind that their father was hours away and she was alone to figure out their friend, Haruhi, living with them for whatever reason they'd thought up. Yuzuha walked down the hall a bit to a bench and took out her cell phone to call home. As the phone rang in her ear, waiting for a maid to pick up she took in shaky breaths and blinked back the desire to cry.

Haruhi and her father soon had two suitcases filled with everything she'd need for the moment, leaving home her personal memrobila she didn't want the twins to touch. Ranka told her to call if she needed anything else and hugged her tightly. They took the walk to the twin's house in silence, each carrying a suitcase. Haruhi also had the picture from her mother's tribute, she slipped it out of the frame just before leaving, in her pocket.
