    Rules:

For those of you who have not seen the show Deadliest Warrior: Its a way of comparing two warriors who have never met on the battle field, and comparing them against eachother in a fair and reasonable way and in turn figuring out who is the deadliest.

I dont want this thread to boil down to "Well ______ is stronger than _____ because he's epic!" It would be more reasonable to list thier powers and abilities and limitations. Its good to point out your weaknesses in your oponents abilities. Also, source any material you post. For example, don't say, "_____ is imortal because he can't be killed!" but instead, "_____ is importal because on chapter xxxx of part xxxx he did this, and revealed he couldn't be killed.

    In this matchup:

We will not be comparing two different warriors, but rather, two different factions of alien warriors.

One society, we have the Orks, from the universe of Warhammer 40,000. This mighty "Green Wrecking ball" strikes fear into all the other warlike species in thier universe. In fact, some have commented, that thier constant infighting is the only thing keeping it from consuming the universe. These mighty warriors, live with one purpose, WAAAGH! The warcry echos out, its time for the Orks to prove who's biggah.

On the other hand, we have the the Krogan, of Mass Effect universe. These species are a much more tragic one. Through years of adversity, the Krogan have learned to be selfish, aggressive, unsympathetic and violent. Thier numbers dwindle, but thier response is unchanged, respond to oppression with aggression. Thier society is now based upon war, to kill and pillage. Technology itself has brought this once tribal society, to a force to be reckoned with. They will not yield quietly to the Orks.

In this Matchup we will test:
    Closed Quarters Combat (Melee)
Mid Ranged Combat (Conventional Firearm Range)
    Long Ranged Combat (Longer)
    Toughness (Armor or physical toughness)
    Combat Leadership
    and finally, JUST PLAIN AGGRESSION!

Keep in mind, that this will be squad on squad action. We will assume that each squad will have 1 typical field commander (I don't want the almighty Ork King himself on the battlefield) as well as a typical team of 5 others who may or may not have a variety of weapons that would be expected of thier respective faction.

Now, the universe of Mass Effect, and Warhammer have never crossed paths, we must ask ourselves, if these two factions of warriors ever met on the battlefield, who is deadliest.

Alright I only know the krogan properly, so I'll set out their squad specs, and wait for an Ork squad (or attempt to make my own if no one makes one) then compare the two later.

Btw, the genophage which I'll mention later, is a synthetic bio-chemical creation that causes only 1 in 1000 krogan to survive past birth. as such they are a slowly dying species, not only from the genophage but from their war like tendencies.

So the nihilistic and adaptive Krogan are ready to bring the pain.

Close Quarters: The Krogan speciality and their favoured weapon of choice is their up close and personal shotguns, able to shrug off most attacks whilst running towards their polenta to fire a shotgun blast in their opponent's skulls. The best of which is an exclusive weapon to their species, the outlawed N98 Claymore, a shotgun big and powerful enough that the knockback blast would shear the arms off of a less physically strong species. And if all else fails, Krogans possess what they have been born with, meaning anything from fists and feet to a full on headbutts, though most all of it comes from extinct rather than proper training.

Mid Range: Assault Rifles, the second choice of most Krogan it is still considered devastating in even a novices hands, able to pierce most armour with enough bullets.

Long Range: Sniper Rifles, not particularly outstanding snipers, the Krogan are still trained in their use, but it is rare to hear of an expert sniper that is a Krogan.

Toughness: They support a thick hide, which stops all minor injuries and contusions as well as take both extreme heat and cold. Also able to survive the high radiation of their home world and all toxins they've had to deal with, not to mention becoming slowly immune to the effects of the genophage. Also, thanks to A special chemical produced in their muscles, krogan are immune to the effects of being stunned, as well as duplicates of all major organs such as lungs and hearts meaning any 'fatal' shot is rarely as fatal as it sounds. They've been able to take anything as a species and live through it.

Tactics: Ever since the genophage, the past tactics of the Krogan, where their massive numbers would swarm their enemy no matter what the cost has now completely stopped. With dwindling numbers total effeciency in their kills is needed, with as little casualties as possible, and they've adapted to suit their situations.

Leadership: Krogan Battlemasters are the pinnacle of Krogan killers, each of them worth ten of any other species, and they are skilled biotics (have powers like the star wars' force) a rare quality in krogan. They are callous and destructive but very efficient in their killing and are tactical on the battlefield. They can bring out the best in their allies whilst causing fear in their enemies, with one true Krogan battle cry. Few beings have lived when facing the legendary Krogan battlemaster.

AGGRESSION!!: Krogans have the famous 'blood rage', a state in battle where their aggression tips them over the edge and puts them into a relentless mode where they can shrug off all pain and even if all four limbs are dismembered they continue gnashing their teeth until they die from blood loss. Before the use of the nuclear devestation Blood Rage was only part of 1% of Krogan, but since that time every Krogan now possesses the ability because they were the only survivors picked by natural selection to survive the nuclear holocaust of their world. Blood rage will mean someone's gonna die.

    EDIT:
(In the Mass Effect universe (at least from ME2) every character that fights, apart from the main character, holds at least two weapons on them, so i'll set up the team as such)

The squad will be out of a Krogan battlemaster, holding a Claymore shotgun and assault rifle whilst leading his troops, all of them also holding Claymore shotguns. One troop will also hold a sniper rifle, with the other four holding assault rifles.

Alright ya gits! Listen up! Peace-And-War talked about da Krogan, dat means I iz gonna talk about Da Orks! Ya got dat ya grots? WAAAAAAAAGH!

Also I'm going to say the Orks are a squad of Boyz being led by a Nob. Just so ya know.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0uBU5ddX4U

Closed Quarters: To Orks there is nothing better then getting up close to an enemy and bashing their skull (well maybe besides shooting them, Orks ain't picky how they kill, but thats beside the point) and this is reflected in their weaponry of choice the Choppa. Choppas are large, bladed weapon, usually taking the form of an axe. Not really choosy, Orks consider anything they can cut their enemies to pieces with as a choppa. When combined with an Ork's strength the Choppa can pierce even Space Marine Power Armor. Nob leading the orks gets the choice of better weapons such as the Power Klaw. A Power Klaw is basicly an Ork version of a Power Fist, just with a more Orky name and appearance. It is a piston-driven pincer comprising of two to three snapping blades. These blades are sheathed in energy the same way a Power Fist is and so can effortlessly ignore any armour.

Mid Range: Shootas are the standard weapons used by Orks. The Ork version of an assult rifle, these weapon are deadly but also makes a lot of noise. The more of each, the better the weapon in the eyes of the Ork. Another popular Ork gun is the Slugga, brutish in design and designed to be used in a similar way. It has the potential to kill from a distance or to be used as a deadly closed combat weapon, mainly due to its incredible weight. Often these weapons are combined with Choppas.

Long Range: Big Shootas are loud, heavy, large-calibre machine guns that bucks and sparks like crazy when the trigger is pulled. When an Ork boy has this heavy weapon it gives his mob some real anti infantry power.

Toughness: The structure and design of the Ork body is a strong, tough and resilient system but also running at a low level of complexity. Orks are a symbiosis of both animal and fungus at the most basic level. The Orks animal side lives in complete harmony with its fungal side and each compliment the other and come together to form a tough and resilient creature. An example of this is found when comparing an Ork to a human. It appears that the fungus allows the Ork's body to negate the use of complex internal organs, the immune system and the reproductive anatomy. The fungus therefore allows the Ork to reduce the number of potentially fatal injuries possible, further improving their survivability. The skull, like many other parts of the Ork body, is far thicker than that of a human, giving it toughness far exceeding humans' own. An Orks internal organs, noted earlier, are simple and effective, relying heavily on their fungal elements. They have a large multi-chambered stomach which feeds a crude renal system. This combined with a body-cavity filling 'fungal soup' (which has the effect of replacing the biochemical organs (liver, kidney, spleen, pancreas etc.) gives the Orks an intensely strong internal system, even though it is quite basic in design. The bones of an Ork are thick, hard and durable, allowing them to sustain high velocity impacts without fracture or damage. The structure is similar to that of humans but the core of the bone contains a spongy fungal matter, replacing the simple human marrow. Finally, much of the Ork body is filled with a spongy mass, presumably to protect what little internal organs the Ork possesses. Their muscles are extremely strong and their squat bodies can stand immense punishment.

Leadership: Orks determine leaders by their size, the biggest Ork around is therefor the Boss. Often Nobz will lead a squad of Boyz. Nobz are the larger Ork boyz who are still smaller than the Warboss of a mob, but are able to exert their authority upon their peers through their sheer size and commanding, if brutish, nature.

Aggression: Orks are imfamous for their love of battle and the better the fight the happier the Ork, attacking an Ork outright would likely improve his morale if anything. One thing dominates all of Ork society and that is the Waaagh! The occasion of a Waaagh is a cross between a mass migration, holy war, looting party and pub brawl, with a bit of genocide thrown in for good measure. Millions of battle-hungry Orks invade their target and stomp everything in their way flat. Just who is invaded is a matter of supreme indifference to the Waaagh. Battle is battle.

Alright, i'll offer my verdict on the two.

Close: An Ork may have the greater equipment on hand, the ability to cut away what is in its way, but they have to get close enough first. And with Krogan specialty in use of shotguns, and the caliber of their bullets being akin to a small cannon, Krogan have the ability to blow away their opponents before they can get a blow in.

    KROGAN

Mid: The old assault rifles of the krogan may be effective in small skirmishes, and especially good at crowd control they can't put a candle to the destructiveness and versatility of the Orks mid range capabilities, with the Shoota and the Slugga being able to outmatch the assault rifle each time.

    ORKS

Long: Both factions are equally unskilled at long range, where Orks rely on any of their random hail of bullets to hitting something whilst the krogan rely more so on accurate and penetrative sniper rounds. With neither gaining the upper hand, it's likely this form of combat on't be used by either faction more then a couple of shots.

    TIE

TOUGHNESS: Krogan have adapted to any situation and any condition that they may have to endure, including the battles their people love to experience on a day to day basis. And they are tough, no doubting that, immune to stunning, thick skin, double organs. Orks however, are built to be walking fortresses, each one to be as thick as a fallout bunker and withstand the punishment. It's a tough call, but Orks are just slightly better for combat.

    ORKS

LEADERSHIP: Size doesn't matter (at least in this case, I bet it does elsewhere...) when it comes to what a leader is. It is based on how well you are able to manage and aspire your team as well as your ability to handle any situation thrown at you. Orks have leadership based on big Orks intimidating little ones, whilst Krogan have them based on experienced, talent and killing efficiency. To me the latter is the better leader.

    KROGAN

AGGRESSION: All of Krogan society is been based on warfare, it is an insult to their people to fight an enemy said to be unworthy. They live to fight, and almost the whole of their species has chosen that way of life instead of rebuilding their people. It's just who they are. Coupled with their blood rage' ability that they can enter in a battle, they are one aggressive species. Orks rely on simple-minded though effective abilities to swarm and crush their opponents into a mushy goo. They willing fight anything, even each other so their aggression can mean they harm themselves and cause problems in the middle of a fight. Especially in small groups where losing one Ork can tip the scales against them
Orks, though obviously very aggressive, only seem to be aggressive in battle, whilst the Krogan have assimilated that aggression into battle, warfare, problem-solving, culture, thicks, philosophy, etc. They are a species of aggression and I have to give it to them.

    KROGAN

    Winner? KROGAN
Not because they are the toughest or most well equipped species ever, but they are the meanest sons of *****es around, and their aggression is so disciplined and focused for the majority of battle until they really need to rely on pure aggressive carnage. They are determined to get what they want, no matter how many bullets it may take.

Now Mr. Peace-And-War, I'd like to argue with some of your points. Because hey why not?! :D

That assumes the Krogan's shotgun would kill the Orks on the first shot. Orks are pretty damn tough, as we established, and bigger Orks are tougher then regular Boyz (such as the Nob). Heck, Orks can survive decapitation for certain amount of time. Orks willingly charge through a hail of bullets to reach melee range. Any wound which does not kill an Ork outright will just make it more belligerent, and even the most serious of wounds can be healed from in a few days. So if the Krogan shotgun blast fails to kill an Ork, what then? The Orks would be in range to smash open the Krogan's heads like a canalope.

I find this a reasonable assesment.

You make a good point, I want to say the Krogan would win this one because they have a more accurate gun (Its hard to be accurate with a heavy weapon machine gun).

    I agree with this.

I agree... to a an extent. Not really important.

I'm confused by the last bit (the bit I underlined). Are you saying the Orks are only aggressive in combat or are you saying that they are at their most aggressive when in combat?

If its the former I have to argue that. If its the latter then I won't really argue.

Well, the shotgun is literally chock full of power. The force behind the Claymore is like a small cannon, it has the ability to whisk another Krogan off their feet. It can take out tanks with enough focused shots and it isn't a slow weapon to fire repeatedly, it has an average delay between each shot at about 3.1 secs in the hands of a trained Krogan user, so even if the first shot is but a flesh wound I'm sure the successive shot would be let out before the Ork got close enough to let one of their Choppas could fall upon a krogan's hide. Can Orks survive two rounds of massive bullets to make a mortal wound? But I guess that'll depend on the judging.

This is squad battling, leadership can be very influential to the troops you lead. Withouteadership troops are literally just wandering about on their own accord. It is very important and that's why it's a factor.
I'm not saying that the Orks are only aggressive in combat, I'm more pointing out the fact that aggression to the Krogan is as much a part of them as their lungs or heart, they are born with it, not only genetically, but socially it grows in everything they do. That's the reason i believe they win.

Well... I guess you have a point there.

Well, the whole "Bigger Ork is in Charge" thing has succesfully worked for the Orks for the last few billion years. And there are quite a couple Orks that lead their mobs rather effectively. But I do see where you're comin' from.

So what your saying is that krogan are more focused aggressively?

Results of Weapons Testing: This was a tough one to judge. I'm going to post the my results on this. To be honest, I've been procrastinating deliberatly because I wanted to consult with a couple friends to see who would win. :)

Short Ranged Combat: The Ork Choppa vs Krogan Claymore Shotgun

This alone was a difficult part to judge. Ork's are known and feared for thier melee ability with the choppa, which consist of a variety of axes and meat cleavers, even swords and other weapons. According to my independent research in Warhammer 40,000 thier weapons are even psyonically charged, and respond differently as different species pick up the weapons. Most strategies in Ork players involve charges and getting into melee range.

The Krogan Claymore is a powerful weapon, which does devastating damage. In game, it can drop extraordinarly difficult opponents in one or two shots. This is not a weakness of the gun, but rather a game mechanic of most opponents being difficult to kill. It has a devastating blast at short range, as a good and proper shotgun should. Its known to break the arms of lesser humans, but Krogans are resilliant enough to take its recoil.

    EDGE:

Krogan Claymore. There is a reason our modern history saw melee weapons replaced by firearms as weapons. Bladed weapons require physical energy movement in order attack. Wheras, a firearm, requires you only to point in the direction of the target, and a squeeze of the trigger in order to execute the shot. It also gives more reach than a few feet extended beyond your physical reach. Firearms are simply a better and more effecient weapon.

    Mid Ranged Combat:

On the one hand, we have a Ork Shoota vs the Krogan assault rifle.

Nothing to special here. The Ork Shoota resembles a inhumanly large handgun. Orks are capable of weilding such a cumbersome weapon. Krogans on the other hand, wield a variety of assault rifles. Traditionally assault rifles are designed to be easier to wield, and more accurate.

    EDGE:

The Ork Shoota. Frankly, the Ork Shootas are bigger. Although I would imagine each assault rifle to be much more accurate, and the Orks to have accuracy issues, the bottom line is, the Shootas can kill Krogans, wheras, I doubt the rifles will be able to efficiently dispatch Orks. As Ork's are a level of toughness bordering the supernatural, it would take a lot of bullets from a traditional assault rifle.

    Long Ranged Combat:

For long ranged combat we have two different philosphies: Precision vs Quantity. The Ork Big Shoota straddles the line between Heavy Machinegun, and Small Cannon. Fully Automatic, and overly powerful. Proof overkill is not in the Ork Vocabulary. On the otherhand, use an Anti Materiel (In game its called Anti Material which is incorect) sniper rifle. Its a powerful weapon designed to be used against armored opponents such as vehicles or even buildings.

    EDGE:

Tied. Although the Orks certainly have much more firepower with the Big Shoota, the Sniper Rifle is a purpose built precision tool specifically designed to take out key opponents accuratly at range before midrange and short ranged combat can be initiated. It offers more of a tactical edge.

On the otherhand, the Big Shoota can serve another purpose. It can allow a massive amount of firepower, not obtainable with traditional weapons. The Big Shoota can be used to issue suppressive fire, forcing opponents to either withdraw from combat, or dig into thier current position... which makes them vulnrable to charges. I couldn't give the edge either way, as they both have thier flaws and weaknesses.

    Toughness:

We also have two different ways they are tough. Orks, on the one hand, are not even truly animals, but rather, a animal/fungus hybrid. As a result, they are tough beyond what is reasonable for an animal. A mass of muscle and fungus. They can heal wounds fatal towards a normal creature, but they are truly something else. Krogan on the other hand are also extraordinary tough. Capable of surviving in extraordinary conditions which has killed off the weaker of the Krogan race, what is left, is simply the toughest and strongest, truly a product of natural selection at its harshest...

    EDGE:

Orks. Krogan are simply the strongest animals you can fathom. However, Orks however, break our paradime as to what an animal is. They are truly something else. A monsterous creature not hindered by the limitations of what an animal can survive. They are Orks, the toughest living being in the Warhammer 40,000 universe... and for good reason. They have the best of both worlds, animal, and fungus.

    Leadership:

Orks have a primitive society, where "bigga" Orks rule weaker Orks simply because the latter is unable to protest without fear of retaliation of thier bigger stronger bretherin. Krogan on the otherhand have an organized army. Leaders are selected by thier intelect and leadership ability.

    EDGE:

Krogan. This one was pretty simple. The Ork leaders are the strongest on the battlefied, but that does not mean they have good leadership. Although this does not matter for Ork society, as thier tactics and strategy are usually pretty straight forward, such tactics could endanger the entire squad if an error in judgment was made. An especially good commander, on the otherhand, can make those underneith him much stronger, wheras a strong Ork leader is only strong himself. Krogan on the other hand are much like a modern army, where there is a chain of command. And logistically, those in leadership abilities are picked for abilities admired in leaders, such as intellect, or tactical and strategic philosophies.

    Aggression:

This was one I put in just for kicks. But I was pleasantly suprised. Orks seem to base thier society on aggression. Some even claim the Banna Wava, the Ork charged with waiving the banner, is a religios icon. For the Krogan however, it is an evolved survival mechanism.

    EDGE:

Krogan. I was actually suprised. Warcraft Orcs (Based loosley off the Warhammer Orcs, which are the basis of the Warhammer 40k Orks) have Blood Lust which works similar to Blood Rage, but is invoked by the Shaman (Or Ogre Mage) rather than a survival instict. But to find such an ability in Krogan is suprising. I know I deviated off topic, but I'm the judge, I can do that.

Blood Rage is simply unmatched. A creature which goes into a rabbid frenzy even when mostly dismembered is a level of aggression I cannot believe. Ork aggression, is impressive, but a double edge sword, thier infighting keeps them from becoming the most powerful force in the universe. Yet, it is what makes them so impressive in battle. Ultimatly, the Krogans aggression would give them a bigger edge in battle.

    FINAL BATTLE:

The scene opens up with 6 Orks sitting around a campfire. Orks were new to this virtually barren world. And had every intention of making it thier home. Dispite this, the party was rather small. The leader was a particularly large Ork, in one hand he carried a shoota with a bayonet ironically attached to a pistol like weapon, the other hand was enveloped in a large mechanical claw. Amounst him were other orks. Each of which carried a shoota, witha variety of designs, and a choppa, varying from a large meat cleaver, to a mideival battle axe. The only one not carrying a choppa of any sort was one carrying what appeared to be a rather large machinegun like device. The rounds loaded into it more closely resembled small artillery rounds.

Cresting over the hill, was a party of Krogan warriors. One commander, one berzerker, and one marksman. Along with 3 soldiers. The leader carried a Claymore Shotgun, the marksman carried a Widow Sniper Rifle, the berzerker carried a shotgun as well as a rifle on his back, he also wore heavier battle armor than his counterparts with neon highlights throughout the armor. The other soldiers carried assault rifles and shotguns as backup weapons. Immediatly, they spot thier foes, who recognize them as well...

"WAAAAAAGH!!!!" the battle cry rings out. The Orks charge! All of them begin advancing as fast as they can, all but one. The one carrying the Big Shoota pulls his weapon up to his hip, and opens fire, lobbing shells of ammunition as his opponents. Although not intended... the big shoota actually forces the Krogan to dive for cover, limiting thier ability to cut down the Ork at range.

The marksman peeks out, taking aim at the leader, but they are simply charging to fast, the headshot misses! Instead, hollowing out the chest cavity of one of they boyz behind him, instantly stopping him. He is punished for his bravery, by taking a shot from a shooter to the shoulder downing him... but still alive, he draws his shotgun. The other Krogan take shots with thier rifles as they present themselves, but its too ineffective, the bullets are not big enough to stop the 4 green wrecking balls moving towards them at an alarming rate. With a command of thier leader, the Krogan switch weapons, towards thier favorite, the Claymore Shotgun. In unisense, they all stand up, and fire off a volley of shotgun blast, just before the Ork collapse onto them. In the carnage, two Orks are cut down, and one Krogan was torn in two by a direct hit from the Big Shoota, another was gunnned down by several shots to the body and one to the face by the other shootas, his armor and shields could not take the abuse. The leader grabs the marksmans rifle, and takes aim down range to kill what appears to be the greatest threat, BANG! The Ork carrying the big shoota is decapitated his lifeless body collapsing helplessly.

The marksman jumps up, clawing and biting at one of the remaining Orks. The Ork responds with his meatcleaver like choppa, an overhead chop head nearly tears it into two even peices. The entrance wound is by the collar bone, and the exit wound of the blade is just below the ribcage. The Nob himself faces off with the Berzerker, in his heavy battle armor. The Berzerker fires off his shotgun, but most of the pellets do little but scrape into his face... it was not a clean shot, the Nob retailiates as he knows best, forcing his claw into the heavy armor, he squeezes the head till a loud crack is heard, the once proud berzerker is a lifeless shell! And as far as the Nob is concerned, the leader is now dead. The 5th Krogan fires a shotgun into the face of the 5th Ork, instantly dropping him. The Nob, still carrying the lifeless Berzerker on his claw, responds by stabbing the krogan in the back with his bayonet, kicking and screaming, he is lifted into the air. The struggle stops as the Ork pulls the trigger. The Ork stands victorious, carrying two lifeless Krogan, one mounted as trophies on each arms. Upon hearing a bolt of a gun slide back and forth, he turns around, eyes widdened, BOOM! The Krogan hipfires at short range, removing the Orks shoota arm. The Ork throws the Berzerkers corpse onto the Krogan leader, pinning him to the ground... The Ork walks up to the seemingly helpless Krogan, stepping on his chest. A snapping of bones could be heard as the Krogan stands there, the Krogan is in immense pain, wincing he feels his heart burst under immense weight of the much larger creature, suddenly pain is no longer a factor... only anger and rage. But is it too late? The Ork prepares for the final death strike with his claw, The Krogan prys the shotgun out of the dead Berzerkers arms, and fires a shot into the Orks shoulder, dismembering it. The Ork falls back... onto his back, the tables are now turned, the Krogan stands over him... And places a series of shotgun shots into the body, decapitating the Ork nob, and largly leaving only a puddle of blood and green chunks of meat.

With a loud grunt, followed by a weak hiss... the last surviving Krogan limps away.

    Final Result:

Krogan win. It was close for all the reasons I named... but they were just a little more advanced. I thought the Orks would be the hands down favorite, but I was suprised to the contrary.

In the words of Legate Lanius from Fallout: New Vegas: "This slaughter pleases me."

I'm not too upset that da Orks didn't win, the fight was well written so I don't really mind. But seeing how the Orks reproduce by spores after they die, the Krogan are going to be dealing with Orks for a long time. Assuming they can live past the main horde that is somewhere on the planet.

Ork Warboss: (giving a speech right before they charge the Krogan camps) Dem Krogan think think dis planets all deres. Well we'z aint havin' none of dat. We'z Orks, got it? An' dis 'ere is our Waaagh! Even da runtiest of Boyz can kill, and kill when its a Waaagh! Course havin' sum nice big shootas help too... Its a known fact dat Ork mekboyz are da best builders dere is. Wit' dem leadin' us we gots lots of flashbangas to show everyone dat dis place is ours! An' turrets can keep it dat way. But sometings arent fer everyone... But every Ork loves da Waaagh! So kill 'em! And chop 'em! And bash 'em! And if da Krogans take ground roit from unda ya feet, you take it roit back! Cuz this. Is da WAAAGH!

I said it once, I will say it again. I scaled down the battle to simply squad on squad simply because otherwise the Orks would be too overwhelming. Warhammer 40k is just too overpowered, and that especially applies to the Orks. In macro warefare, the reinforcements would arrive faster than any army could stop them. In ideal circumstances (the different clans cooperating and not infighting) the Orks are literally unbeatable.

That being said, the Krogans did win this battle primarily because the Claymore Shotgun was just a devastating weapon. At midrange, the Krogans were at a disadvantage... but given the culture, strategy and tactics, of each society, they would both prefer a closed quarters battle, which favors the Krogan.

And honestly... I thought Commander Shepard vs Adam Jensen was a tough match... I was really stressed out over this one... I was calling up everyone I know who is geeky enough to help me about this and asking there opinions. Heck, I even asked my dad what would happen... <_<

Hmm, yeah. However, It makes me kinda under who'd win if a horde of Krogan fought a horde of Orks.

    Good point.

I'm curious to who they tought would win.

    Yes but no...
Krogan ARE aggression. That's what they've pretty much evolved into and live by it, not because they have to but because it is what they want. It is what their bones and blood want. I can't explain it any better. It is who they are.

Very good work, I liked how it was written. Like two crazy animals headbutting each other. Nice.

To be honest, the Orks would've probably have won with a unit of Orks VS Krogan. Krogan are in small number as a species and in general with enough tenacity and numbers from an enemy would wipe them out. It's the reason why the council of all species representatives decided that their very fast reproduction would need to be extremely lowered as such they introduced the Genophage, but yeah theyve learnt to handle small squad warfare better than open conflict.

Wow...very creative and well written. I'm glad you went with the Krogan. They certainly had more of an advantage over the Orks.

    Now what's next?
