Organization XIII - It's a beautiful day!

Vexen's body froze as Marluxia's words swam over her, feeding her own love for the man. Her doubts were diminished as she realized that Roxas had only been her protection against these foreign feelings she so feared. But now, she let go of her fears. She smiled, playing with the flower's hair.

"I love you, too, Marluxia." Then without thinking, Vexen leaned in slowly, her eyes glowing, and kissed the nobody before her passionately.

 

Tears formed in Demyx's eyes again. "You... don't love me?" His voice squeaked near the end of his sentence and he began to bawl. He got off the bed and ran for the door, taking care not to fall over again. He ran out of the room, not really knowing where he was going, just wanting to get away.

 

"DEMYX!" Axel yelled. "I DIDN'T MEAN THAT! IT'S JUST...." He sighed and shook his head. "I said I love you." Axel ran for the door and tryed to find Demyx, who knows what kind of trouble he could get into.

 

Marluxia felt an eternity of love pass through his soul. But darkness still lingered the man. After the kiss, he had fallen asleep, trying to find his way to the light.

 

Vexen parted her lips from Marluxia's and realized that he had passed out. She became worried. "Marluxia?" She kissed him again, on the lips then on the cheeks and forehead. When he did not respond to her verbally or physically, she dragged him to her room and laid him on her bed carefully.

Her emotions, which she had held locked up for so long, were now pouring out of her like a waterfall. She clutched the area where her heart should have been and sat next to her significant other, kissing him once more lightly on his lips.

Then, the woman walked to her lab and gathered some supplies. Bringing them back to her room, she set up a hospital like room where she could keep watch over Marluxia's stats. She wanted to make sure that Marluxia would wake up alright and able to share his recently confessed love with her.

Laying on the bed next to the flower, she caressed his face until she herself finally drifted off into the land of dreams.

 

Demyx had already scampered away before Axel could go after him. He found himself outside of Vexen's room and decided to peer inside. He saw Marluxia and Vexen doing... something. He ran up to Marluxia, pointed up at him and shouted "MEANIE!"

 

Almost as soon as Vexen had fallen asleep, her mind was again brutally awakened as the scream of a young child reverbertated in her ears.

Sitting striaght up in surprise, the scientist looked down to see Marluxia, then looked to her other side to see a toddler Demyx pointing at the flower. Groggy from just waking up, Vexen got off the bed and kneeled next to the young nobody.

"What's the matter, Demyx?"

 

Axel heard Demyx's small voice and slightly smiled. He followed to noise until he found himself at Vexen's room. 'Oh sh**!' He thought to himself. "Monkey, I'm sorry..." He whispered.

 

Demyx scowled. "I'll tell you what's the matter!" He stomped his feet. "I'm a kid! I should be older! And.. and.. Axel doesn't love me anymore!"

He began sobbing uncontrollably and flung his small arms around Vexen, seeking the comfort that a female nobody could bring.

"And it's all Marly's fault!" He shouted.

 

Vexen warmly hugged the young child back, regretting that Marluxia had to be the cause of his pains. Whispering softly, she said, "It's alright, Demyx. Everything will be alright." She patted the youngster's back. "I'll figure out how to change you back and then it will all be back to normal."

Vexen pulled the child gently off of her and looked him in the eyes. "How does that sound?" She smiled warmly.

 

Axel peaked into Vexen's bedroom, listening to Demyx and Vexen's convorsation. He lightly smiled.

 

"That sounds.." He sniffled. "Good."

Little Demyx rubbed his eyes and gave a small smile. "Thanks, Mommy." He said and gave the woman another hug.

 

Vexen smiled at being called mommy as she hugged the child once more. She stood up, took Demyx's hand in hers and asked, "Can you tell me how you became like this?" Carefully rubbing away one of the toddler's tear, she smiled sweetly awaiting an answer. Knowing the source of the problem would make finding a solution a thousand times easier.

 

"Oh! Marluxia made me like this! I ate his candy!" Demyx tattled on the guilty nobody who was still right in front of him.

"How come he's on the bed? Is he asleep?" He walked upto Marluxia and prodded him.

 

Candy? Vexen grabbed up Demyx carefully. "Yes. Marluxia is asleep. But you should not bother him now." The scientist carried the youngster to her door, glancing back to make sure that the man resting on her bed was alright.

"Tell me, Demyx, do you know where these candies came from?" Carrying the water child, Vexen opened the door to her room and hit something. Both she and Demyx were startled and looked behind the door to see Axel, his forehead a little red from the impact.

OoC: This will probably be one of my last posts since I have to wake up in about 4 hours...

 

Axel placed his hand on his forehead. "Oh god, that's going to hurt in the morning." He sighed and looked up at Vexen. "How's Demyx doing?"

 

"I'm so sorry about that." Vexen was referring to the man's injury. She sighed, looking down at the toddler in her arms. "You're going to be alright, huh, Demyx?"

Vexen smiled at the child, then turned to Axel. "Do you think that you two could go off to sleep right now? It's really much too late to be working. If you guys allow me to sleep then I can work on a way to reverse this problem in a better state of mind." The scientist glanced at the giant clock on the lab wall. It read 3:05 A.M. She rubbed her eyes with her free hand and looked to her bundle.'

"You wouldn't mind waiting a night for me to fix the problem, would you?" She waited expectantly for a reply from either Axel or Demyx.

 

Axel nodded and gave Vexen the bag of candies Marluxia gave him. "These are what Marluxia gave Demyx. Anilize them and find a way to get him back, please." He opened his arms to hold recieve Demyx from Vexen.

 

Vexen gave over Demyx to Axel, accepting the bag of candies in return. She looked at the two and realized for the first time just how much they cared for one another. Maybe sharing her feelings with Marluxia opened a whole new emotional assortment within her.

"I will work my hardest, and I am sure that I will find a way to bring things to normal soon." She patted Demyx's back once more, lightly kissing his little cheek. Then, she walked back into her room, set the candies in her night table drawer, and laid beside the still sleeping Marluxia. She breathed in his warm scent and listened to his steadied breathing. Finally, Vexen fell asleep with a smile on her face.

Axel walked back to his own room, Demyx in his arms. He said nothing until they got inside of the room and layed down on his bed. "Alright, Demyx." Axel said while fluffing a pillow. "Time to go Nigh-Night." He put the pllow down next to himself and layed Demyx atop of it.
