Organization XIII - It's a beautiful day!

Vexen's shield disappeared as Saix fell to his knees. The woman felt a maternal instinct draw her to the nobody as she checked if he felt alright.

"Sorry, Saix, but I had no choice..." The ice woman carressed his pale locks as she looked to Xemnas, locking eyes with him.

"Do you mind telling me what exactly has been going on?" She did not even acknowledge her bold speak to the organization leader.

OoC: Hey, Foxxie! I'm so glad you posted. I've been in a really big RPing mood and this thread is just not moving fast enough to fulfill my needs! I'm thinking about joining another one but I would never want to compromise my devotion to this thread. Oh, well...

"Apparently," said Xemnas, "This Mad Hatter over here targeted me for some kind of sick game. But that's dealt with for the moment. He did say something about leading my heartless here, in fact he said it destroyed you. Vexen, do you know what happened to it?"

 

Vexen shook her head. "He attacked me, but then I portalled away and I don't know what happened to him after that."

She would tell Xemnas the bit about Xehanort and Merlin when she had a chance to speak to him in private. She was not sure he would want everyone else to hear.

"I suppose we should be on the lookout for him, though. I doubt, by his strength, that he would run away and not finish whatever it may be he was up to here." Vexen rubbed her shoulder; it was still sore from Ansem having thrown her against the wall.

Looking around the room, she noticed a young, blonde haired girl standing amongst the group of nobodies, a girl with a stangely attractive presence. Vexen did not know what to think of her, whether she had been unkowingly brought into this situation, or if she had been an accomplice of this Mad Hatter. But no one seemed to be threatened by her, and she seemed good, somehow, innocent. Still, Vexen made eye contact with Xemnas, signaling the girl, silently asking who she was and what she was doing here at Castle Oblivion.

 

Xemnas followed Vexen's gaze.

"Everyone," he announced, "this is a friend of mine named Naminé. If it weren't for her, we may very well all be dead right now. She is my guest here at the castle and should be treated as such, however, you are NOT to tell any of the others of her presence here. I fear they may see her as a threat and act without thinking. Is that understood?"

Oh, BTW, I asked Mish, and she said no, she's not in this RP anymore... And Mari's gone to another site. Sooooo we need a new Demyx AND a new Marluxia pretty much... ;~; ))

"Great..." rasped Xigbar, plopping down into a sitting-position. "Now we have to baby-sit..." he grumbled, completely forgetting that, a this age, he was the younger one.

Saix's eyes slowly flickered open. "Uhn... Wha'...?"

His blurry gaze slowly focused on the figure in front of him. "... Vexen...? How did you-- How did I get here?" he asked, struggling to sit up.

 

((Well, I'm not leaving at all. I'd be willing to pick up some of the other characters, at least temporarily.))

"You don't have to babysit anyone," said Xemnas. "She's my guest, I'll see to her. I just need your secrecy."

He looked over to the still form of the Hatter

"And take him down to the dungeons. He probably won't cause any more trouble, but just in case..."

 

OoC: No need to apologize, Foxxie. Even though I said I've been in an RPing mood lately, now my brain is fried and I can't think of anything worth writing.... :(

And about the KOed characters, I guess we should take it into our own hands to cast new people for Demyx and Marluxia. We won't be able to update it on the front page, but that shouldn't be a problem. So what do you say we make an announcement that we are looking for two new RPers? And whoever is interested can PM any of us, who in turn will PM the others with the person's application (so we can all decide who to bring in... I want to make sure it is someone with enough skill since we are all pretty literate)? Then this place will hopefully be as active as it once was!!!!

And I'm not posting now cause I'd probably end up posting crap....

Saix stood up, feeling sore all over. Would it hurt if, just once, I actually KNEW what the hell was going on...? he grumbled in his mind. Never-the-less, he picked Hatter up and carried him away.

Maybe... When I get back, I'll actually do it... he thought to himself.

Xigbar watched Saix carry the man off a bit grudgingly. "Fine..." he sighed to Xemnas. "I won't tell anyone... But NO makin' babiez, understand? There are CHILDREN in this castle."

With a small laugh, he scampered off before Xemnas could beat him.

Vexen rubbed her head. Too much had happened in the past few hours, and she knew that more was on its way. She should try to get Xemnas by himself to explain to him the message from Xehanort and Merlin (would Xemnas even believe her?), but she was tired and much rather prefered going to bed.

"I have no problem with your guest, Xemnas, as long as you do not think her being here jepordizes (sp?) our well being." Making a slight, friendly nod at Namine, Vexen excused herself from the crowd and found her way to her lab. On the walk there, she saw the wall in which Ansem had rammed her into; it was slightly damaged. Unconciously, she rubbed her shoulder but continued to walk.

She entered her lab, realizing then how long it had been since she had worked on any experiments, walked stright to her room, took off her clothes, and did not even bother showering. Instead, she dropped straight into bed, pull on her fluffy covers, and drifted into sweet sleep.

OoC: That is the best I could come up with... not very eventful. Anyways, I really prefer only RPing one character, but I am willing to take on more if we need to. Still, I think before we decide to take on more characters we should make a new front page for this thread. It could consist only of Mari's first post, but instead one of us will post it and thus we can control it. Then we can tell people that we have plenty of open spots and wait to see who decides to join. Things get a little hectic if we all start playing different characters... What do you guys think? And by a new front page, I mean we still post here, but we can have a different thread with the first post on it, and then even use that thread to ask questions about the plot, story, etc.

Xemnas looked over at Naminé, who was still shaking.

"Would you like some hot chocolate?" he asked.

She shook her head.

"How about day-old root beer?" he offered.

She nodded. Xemnas smiled slightly and guided her towards his room, where he kept a stash.

Vexen woke up, her head a little less throbbing than when she had fallen asleep. Her feet hit the ground as her bloodshot eyes took in the light of the morning... or rather, the light of her brightly lit room. She rubbed them.

Standing, she grudgingly made her way to her bathroom, threw herself into her shower, turned the water on so that it blasted very coldly, and she bathed herself. Dripping, she walked out, very sloppily dried herself, and found just what she needed in her medicine cabinet: Excedrin; that should make the headache disappear.

Still very naked, the woman walked into her room, found a T-shirt, some clean underwear, and shorts, and she dressed herself.

"Well," her voice was hoarse, "I suppose I should find Xemnas and tell him about Ansem... and all that mess." She rubbed her head, wishing that the Excedrin would work faster.

Barefooted, Vexen walked out of her room, through her lab, and into the long hall. She was on a search for her leader, and her head was in search of relief.

OoC: Well, I think it should be the person who is on the most, and I doubt that its me. I'm not sure between you and Foxxie, though. I just want it to be someone who will be around so that we don't run into this problem again and I trust both Foxxie and you so you guys can make the decision. Then you can just copy and paste Mari's first post and change the character's listing on the new thread and I guess also add in some new things and mention that the new thread is also for questions and such.

 

Xemnas opened a small bottle of A&W and gave it to Naminé, who was sitting on the desk chair with a blanket around her shoulders. She continued to sit there, shaking.

"Naminé," Xemnas said, "It's all right..."

"No, it's not!" she yelled, spilling the root beer all over the place. "I just KILLED someone, Xemnas! I couldn't control it! What if it was you next time?! I'm...I'm a monster..."

Xemnas looked at her sadly, and tried to remain calm.

"First of all," he said, "The Hatter was still breathing when I had him taken to the dungeons. You killed no one. Secondly, I have no heart for you to use your power on, so you never have to worry about hurting me. Thirdly, you will learn to control this incredible gift in time. I'll help you. I already swore I would."

Naminé sat with her head in her hands, then looked at Xemnas.

"Did you ever have to kill anyone?"

"Unfortunately," he replied simply. He thought of what happened the day before with Xigbar and he shuddered.

"Would you protect me?" Naminé asked.

"Of course!" Xemans said with a smile.

"...from myself?" Naminé added weakly.

Xemnas regarded Naminé for a second, feeling a sadness mixed with a boundless affection that seemed familair and yet at the same time foreign to him.

"If it came to that," he said slowly, "I would still fade into nothingness myself before allowing that to happen to you."

Naminé's eyes started to mist over. She giggled lightly in an attempt to conceal that, and then she ran over to Xemnas and threw her arms around him, crying into his chest.

Xemnas closed his eyes, and just held her as she sobbed.

 

On her search for her leader Vexen thought, rather logically, to begin in Xemnas's room. As she turned the corner of the hall, she heard muffled voices from behind Xemnas's door. The deeper, rougher voice defenitely belonged to the Head Nobody, but the softer voice proved more elusive for Vexen.

Knowing perfectly well that eavesdropping on Xemnas was probably one of the most dangerous things she could do, Vexen tip-toed to the door, lightly laid her ear against it, and listened as Xemnas tried to comfort this other person. Now that she was closer to the voice, Vexen realized that it belonged to that young girl who had somehow barged in on the nobodies as a guest of honor. Namine had been her name.

Vexen listened on as Xemnas's words became more and more affectionate, and for some reason the white haired woman felt a knot in her chest, tugging and pulling. She did not want to hear anymore. Pulling herself away from the door, she decided that her information could wait, especially if Xemnas was preoccupied with that girl. Not understaning why, Vexen felt anger boil up within her as she stomped away down the hall. She needed her lab; she needed her experiments; she needed science; she needed to stop the fluttering of her chest somehow...

"Here," said Xemnas. "You can lie down here for a while. I need to check some things around the castle."

Naminé nodded and fell asleep on Xemnas' bed.

He smiled at her, opened his door, and saw Vexen.

"Oh! Vexen!" he said slightly surprised. "Do you need something?"

 

Vexen froze, her thoughts echoing with science, her chest still in knots, and her anger still boiling. Turning ever so carefully so as to conceal her emotional state, Vexen forced a rather awkward smile.

"Oh, hello, Xemnas. I was just walking... to clear my head." Why in the hell do I feel so strange? The woman's eyes caught her leader's and for a moment she envisioned Xehanort, only he was dressed in a lab coat and seemed somewhat younger than the one she had met.

She shook the image away. "Um, actually, Xemnas, could I have a word with you? It's about Ansem, your heartless." She figured that she might as well tell him now, even though she could still feel an unsteadiness in her body.

She breathed softly and tried to calm herself. "Could we talk somewhere private?"

He was in a cave but she was nowhere to be found. But he felt she had been here; he could feel her aura and it made him want to kill something. "She is becoming more and more of a nuisance!" His hand flew to cover his chest, right over the area where his heart would have been were he not a heartless. "Damn you, Even." Ansem's voice was harsh and cold.

Taking a step more, he felt another presence, one that was much too familiar. "Xehanort? Here?" Ansem put two and two together. "He must have told her." He needed to find that nobody soon. He could not carry his plans out if she were still alive, if she still held that power of him...
