Organization XIII - It's a beautiful day!

Xemnas sighed. Perhaps, he thought, it might be fun to have someone to talk to...

"You don't have to, Saix. Truth be told I wouldn't mind hte company."

He chucked on an old t-shirt and a slightly worn pair of South Park boxers, and awaited Saix's reply.

 

Vexen felt thoroughly awkward and signaled to Roxas that she was leaving. She flashed one last cheeky smile at Axel, rubbed her head, and then walked away.

She walked out into the hall and let out a sigh. "Wow, for some reason that guy really makes me nervous!" She was disappointed that she could not finish her discussion with Roxas, but her heart hadn't really been in it anyways.

Finding herself without anything to do, she made her way to the kitchen. After everything, she turned out to really be hungry.

"Time for a sandwich."

Vexen entered the kitchen and walked straight to the refrigerator. She was surprised to find it well stocked and pulled out a few things.

"Bread." She said the ingrediants aloud as she began to make her sandwich. "Mayo and mustard." Yellow spurt out of the FRENCH'S mustard bottle as the woman squeezed it. "Tomato." Slicing like a mad woman, she threw on the tomatoes. "And lettuce."

She topped the lettuce with a slice of bread, grabbed herself a plate, sat down, and took a giant bite out of her finished product. She felt satisfied.

A cold wind blew through the tiny town, following the steps of a white haired stranger. People averted their gazes, feeling within this person a deep and dark evil. The enigma's orange eyes seemed to look through the townsfolk. They were searching.

The stranger's voice seemed to howl with a gritty icyness as it said, "I'm getting much, much closer."

Vexen had left Roxas and Axel alone. Something that hadn't happened in a very long time and Roxas refused to let this time be awkward. He was never really good at thinking on his feet, so he wasn't surprised to hear how silly his question was after it came out of his mouth. "So, uh, when's the wedding?"

Crap, I have to make Mari's catch-up thingy completely from scratch... ._.;

Saixrubbed the back of his head awkwardly, and slowly opened the door. He quietly stepped inside the room, closing the door. "Look, Superior... I apologize for how I was acting last time... I really wasn't thinking stright." He sighed. "It's just that... I'm never one to open up and share about my past life. When I did, I kind of got carried away, and touched some..." He slowly looked away. "... Unpleasant memories..."

(( BTW, sorry if I'm making Saix act a little OOC, it's just that I've never played him before and I'm still getting used to it. :sweatdrop: )

Axel turned to Roxas. "Huh?" He said, not realizing at first what he was talking about. "Oh, not sure... Demyx and I have to figure that out." Soon after speaking, he took a seat in one of the Library's lounge chairs.

 

Roxas copied Axel and took a seat across from the firey red-head. "Well, eh, how did he propose? Or how did you propose?" Roxas said, trying to make small talk. But he found it so much harder to talk to him than he did with Vexen. There was just something about her that he felt he could confide in. And although he probably sounded very awkward talking with Axel, Roxas didn't really care.

 

Why was Roxas acting a little different? He sounded fine talking to Vexen. "Simple," He started, "I got down on one knee and asked him." Axel leaned back in his chair a bit. "He said yes."

 

Vexen had finished her fresh tasting sandwich and felt the hole in her stomach settle down. She hadn't realized how long it had been since she had eaten a decent meal.

The woman yawned, running her frail hands through her silky, white hair. She stood and walked out into the hall. The castle had been very quiet as of late, especially after all the crazy commotion only a few weeks ago... Marluxia, whom Vexen had not seen in a very long time and was a little afraid to meet again, had gone completely insane a while ago; Vexen had never found out what was wrong with her, nor if the flower child had come back to her senses. Vexen stopped dead in her tracks as she remembered about those few members who had recently been minituarized.

So much had happened before she had blacked out, and she had no idea how these things concluded. The only thing she did know was that Roxas was alive and more or less well, and that Axel and Demyx were engaged.

Vexen rubbed her head. This place never seemed dull. She walked through the halls without anywhere specific to go; she figured that if she just kept going, something or someone would interupt her silence. She was, afterall, in Castle Oblivion. When did things ever stay quiet for long here?

Xemnas shrugged. "We all have our moments, our hurts, our regrets," he said. "Have a seat," he added, gesturing towards the chair near the writing desk.

"So," asked Xemnas, "What's on your mind tonight?"

 

ooc: yayy! s&s was fun, but i could have sworn we were in the middle of a hurricane for a while. and i still have your picture you drew with the placemat. haha, definitely 24 hours. no joke


Roxas ran his hand through his blonde hair. As much as he didn't really want to talk about this with Axel, he couldn't think of a single decent topic of conversation. "Yeah, so, what about the honeymoon? Any place special?" Roxas kind of regretted those words as soon as they left his lips. Why would he want to know what Axel and his new "groom-to-be" were doing on their most likely romantic getaway. He squirmed slightly in his chair, but hoped it didn't show. "Where is Vexen?" he wondered to himself while he awaited Axel's answer.

 

"Rox, It was about five or so hours ago, we haven't planned anything yet." Axel replied. He raised an eyebrow when he saw Roxas slightly move strangley in his chair. "Something... something wrong?"

 

Saix nodded his thanks, and sat down in the chair. He sighed deeply at Xemnas' question, and ran his fingers through his hair. "It's... EVERYTHING..." he sighed at last.

 

Xemnas nodded.

"Okay," he said, "Everything. I have to say that topic is quite broad. It also seems like an exagguration since I doubt that the tree outside, the castle gates, and my South Park pajamas, to name a few, aren't muddling your thoughts as much as other things. If you were to be more specific," he smirked, "I may be able to better help you."

 

Saix rolled his eyes in a good-natured way. "O-kay... Everything we talked about." he sighed. He paused. "And... a certian... dream of mine... But, that's not really important." he added quickly.

Xemnas raised his eyebrows.

"Dreams are the window into the soul," he said before adding, "Wait, or was that 'eyes'? Anyway, the point is that often the nature of dreams can give us clues to troubles we might not even be fully aware we have. Then again, dreams can just be very strange. Just a few weeks ago, I dreamt I was swimming in a sea of socks like a cartoon miser might swim in gold coins.

"I guess, in the end, what I'm trying to say is, put bluntly, spill it."

 

Vexen had been wandering the halls for a while, her thoughts overtaking her. She had not paid attention to where she had gone and when she finally looked up she found herself face to face with a door that she had never seen before. She knew that this castle was enchanted so she was not surprised to find something new, even after all her years living in the castle.

"I wonder where you lead to?" The white haired woman turned the doorknob...

...and found herself in a startlingly white room. The air inside it was cold, but somehow Vexen felt this inner warmth swim through her upon entering. Scattered throughout the room were various papers, and upon closer inspection Vexen realized that all these were drawn on with various curious people.

On the long, white table in the middle of the room was a sketch pad, and beside it were colored pencils.

"Is this some sort of art room?" Vexen inspected many of the drawings, and then she sat in front of the sketch pad and opened it. She had never drawn before; it might be fun if she gave it a try.

Outside a very large castle stood a lone figure covered in icy white hair, its gleaming orange eyes cold and evil. They looked to the building before them, and upon the stranger's face was a wicked smirk. I found you... and your friends....

The figure took a step toward Castle Oblivion.

 

((OOC: Today is my birthday! Woo! The big 2-1! Of course, 21 isn't as important a milestone to someone who is fundamentally anti-alchohol. But whatever. Yee! Also, normally, I'd wait for Foxxie to reply, but I wanted to address what Treah just wrote.))

As Xemnas waited for Saix's answer, Xemnas suddenly felt a chill go up his spine. He felt slightly more complete than he had in a long time, but at the same time cold and afraid.

Not wanting to tip off Saix, he quickly glanced towards the window. He thought he saw something, but the figure was out of his sight range too quickly to be sure.

It can't be..., he thought.
