Organization XIII - It's a beautiful day!

Xigbar smiled a little. "Well, techinially it's not that l-- WOW!" He took the gift into his hands, a wide grin on his face and his eyes all big and sparkly. "It's a...! It's a... It's a....... What is it?"

Saix sighed and thumped his head against the wall softly. "Ugh, ugh, ugh... What the hell is wrong with me..? I don't want to talk, but I want to talk... I want to be around other people, but I don't want to be around other people... I want... I want to remember Asagi... But I don't..."

He rubbed his temples as he started walking away again. "Too much confusion.."

 

Roxas could barely breathe when Axel said he was engaged. "En...gaged? Demyx?" Roxas asked. He didn't want to seem unsupportive, so he managed to show a smile across his face. "I'm happy for you two, really, I am." Roxas offered Axel his hand as a sign of congratulations. "And don't even worry about before. I've totally forgotten about it," which was the honest-to-God truth. There had been so much going on that the boy couldn't remember a whole lot that had happened before his nightmares took over his dreams.

"Well, I guess I should be getting back to Vexen," he added, taking a glance over to the table where he had left her. "I'll see you around, Ax."

 

"Yes, sir." He said, confused by the stuttered. When Roxas put forth his hand, he shook it. "Alright.."

"Wait... THAT'S Vexen? What happened to her hair?"

 

Taking another quick glance at Vexen, Roxas replied, "Oh, well, she just wanted to change it. So now it's white." Guessing that Axel wouldn't really believe the boy's explanation, he quickly added, "That's what she told me at least...Hey, you want to talk to her? I'm sure she would like to say 'hey' or something."

 

"Really?" He raised an eyebrow. "Can I just join you guys?"

 

Roxes hesitated for a moment before answering. "Yeah, sure. We were just talking, nothing special." He felt bad for not completely telling the truth because, indeed, the two Organization members were talking about something special, those weird nightmares, but Roxas dared speak of those to Axel.

 

"A'ight." Axel said and went over to the new hair-coloured Vexen and poked her on the shoulder. "Hello? You awake?" He said.

Xemnas woke up with a start to find his bedsheets soaked with sweat. He hadn't been able to remember what he had been dreaming about, but looking at the clock he saw he had only been dreaming about it for two hours. He lay back down, found himself wide awake and unable to sleep, and decided to find something to read. He tore his room apart looking for something he hadn't read a thousand times before and finding nothing of the sort.

 

Luxord smacked himself in the face. "You dork. It's your favorite cartoon character from your FAVORITE cartoon. Hint, two words. First starts with I, second word starts with Z. Figure it out," he joked. He looking around curiously before scratching the tip of his nose sniffling and rubbing a finger under it. Was he getting a cold? Maybe..

 

((The following is based on a true story))

Xemnas did a double-take.

After making a mess of his quarters, the Organization's superior had found an old, worn-out copy of "The Da Vinci Code." Figuring there was nothing better to do, he sat down to re-read it and found that he was just as engrossed as he had been on his first read, having of course forgotten everything about the book except for the basic plot.

While turning the page to the next chapter, he saw a line that didn't quite make sense. Even though it was at the bottom of a page he hadn't read yet, he had to make sure he saw what he saw.

"The wheels are in motion...", the passage read.

When Xemnas had first spotted it out of the corner of his eye, it had looked like "Weasels".

The weasels are in motion, he thought, Well, they certainly are.

For some reason he couldn't quite put his finger on, this new interpretation struck a nerve and Xemnas began laughing hysterically, unable to do anything else for the next ten minutes.

 

(( Whoops! Fergot it twas my turn... XD; ))

"Oh!" Xigbar exclaimed, grinning and holding his present up. "Invader Zim! Ha - I knew that!" He snickered.

Suddenly, he was all buisness; his hands dropped down to his sides. "But you've got it all wrong. Invader Zim is my SECOND favorite cartoon character - Spongebob is my first."

Silence.

Suddenly, he carcked up, and patted Luxord gently on the shoulder. "I'm just kidding - thanks bunches for the present. Really." With that, he gave the young blonde a little hug.

Saix blinked, and stopped suddenly. What the hell is that noise?! he thought, glancing around. After a few seconds of wondering what it was, he finally realised it was coming from Xemnas' room.

"What the...?!"

He wandered over to the Superior's room, slowly and hesistanly. He softly knocked on the door. "Uh, Superior, is everything alright in there...?" he asked.

Through the tears of his laughter, Xemnas heard Saix talking to him through the door.

"I'm fine...ha...Siax, everything's fine," Xemnas choked, "Just...something struck my tired mind as funny."

 

Vexen was a bit startled by the fire man's poke. She felt his heat swim through her ice cold body. Axel bothered her, but she decided that she should be polite. She was actually kinda glad that the man had interuppted Roxas's conversation with her because she felt too mentally drained to deal with anything that required her to think.

"Hey, Axel. How are you? It's been quite a while since I last saw you." Vexen kinda wanted to go to some far off place and be alone. Her hair felt icy. She looked at the fire man and tried to smile at him warmly. She did not know if she was succesful at this.

Roxas walked behind Axel and stood next to him as the fire nobody talked to Vexen. He did not mind that his conversation with the woman was over since he felt she could do nothing to help. He watched as the two spoke and his mind began to wander a bit. He was utterly surprised that Axel and Demyx were engaged, but he tried not to let that bother him.

An eerie darkness filled the small alley as a stray cat crept by, his icy meow echoing in the night. The pale figure stepped down the alley, its senses completely aware and searching, searching for someone.

"Vexen..." The name was spoken in barely a whisper, but it seemed to resonate with the power of a shriek. He was getting closer...

 

"Umm, yeah, hey... What happened to your hair?" Axel replied and tilted his head. "It's so... different." The redhead wondered if he was intruding any important conversation or such.

 

Vexen did not want to say that her hair had just turned white. She knew that such an explanation would only call for more questions.

"I dyed it... because I wanted it to match, you know,... my icy side." She chuckled a bit, maybe a little too much than was called for. The woman figeted (sp?) a before saying, "I'm a bit hungry." She rubbed her stomach to add effect. "I could really go for a hot sandwich right now." Her eyes wandered to the door as she spoke; this was her time to make an escape.

Saix quirked an eyebrow. Looks like I'm not the only one who is going insane right now... "Well, uh..." He trailed off, unsure of what to say. "Do you... want me to leave...?" he asked, hopping from foot to foot, nervously.
