Organization XIII - It's a beautiful day!

Xigbar appeared in his room. He yawned, and ran over to his closet, stretching. He pulled out the usual Organization XIII clothing, and laid them on the bed. He took off the shirt Xemnas had given him, and stared at it. Maybe I should fold it and put it away somewhere… No! NO! he shook his head violently. I can’t! I’ve gotta beat the clock, remember? Xemnas is waiting on me!

He hurriedly tossed it on the bed, on got dressed in the usual attire. He quickly tied his long hair back in a single ponytail, and pulled the hood over his head. He spent one last moment zipping the collar up all the way, and portalled back to The Usual Spot.

“Okay! I’m back!†Xigbar shouted, grinning. “Did I make it in time?†he asked, breathlessly. Without waiting for an answer, he looked down, sheepishly. “If you’re wondering why I decided to change my clothes… Well… It’s not that I didn’t like your gift… I just wanna re-create the moment… I know you don’t wanna feel like you’re talking to a 5 year old all night…â€

He blinked. “Which reminds me… While I was talking to Shayna, I learned a new tick… Watch!†He cleared his throat, and said in his old voice, “And just like that… Ta-da! I’m rehabilitated!†It was a pretty good imitation, too. You could hardly tell the difference in the old, surfer-dude pirate. He climbed back onto his seat, and sighed in mock sorrow. “What a shme… It takes a cheap imitation to hear my beautiful, melodious voice again…â€

 

( Man Iunno where to start off at. But Iunno if I have time to post. I have to be studying x.x )

Xemnas smiled. He looked at his stopwatch. It read three minutes. Xemnas put it away and said nothing about it.

"It is good to have the old Xigbar back for at least a second," he said, "But I have to wonder what form you truly prefer? What I'm getting at is that all day I've been trying to find a way to reverse your condition, and something always gets in the way. I wonder if you're fated to this new childhood?"

Xemnas took a sip and continued, "I suppose if that's the case, you might consider yourself lucky. Many people would give anything to relive their childhoods, and correct the mistakes they made the first time around."

Xemnas looked at Xigbar. "Braig, my old friend, there's something I need to tell you. Can you keep a secret?"

 

Xigbar blinked, and tilted his head to the side. Braig...? Hmmm... must be important. He only uses my true name when he's getting serious.... He nodded, solemnly. "Of course... What is it Xemnas? I won't tell anyone."

Saix walked through the hallways of Castle Oblivion silently, his hood loosely draped over his head. He tried to keep his head up, but his eye kept wandering back down to the floor. A... Asagi. Asagi... He shook his head. I tried... So hard... To forget about you.... So hard to lock away all of the memories.... About that night....

He stopped, sighed, and looked up at the ceiling. But now it's clouding my mind all because of that stupid mistake... I can't stop thinking about you... And... The crazy thing is... Even as unpleasant as some of the memories are... I'm not sure... Wherther I want to erase you again... Or not...

He sighed once more, then looked at the door to his room. Glancing around, slightly, he walked up to it, went in, and closed it behind himself. He leaned on the door, breathing heavily, and slid down to a sitting position.

He was silent for a while, then murmured to himself, "Maybe... Some sleep would help me get my thoughts together..." He was still for a little while more, then nodded. Yes... Sleep. I'll decide what I want to do tomarrow. Right now, it's late and has been a very stressful day for me.

He slowly got up, shed his clothes, and climbed into his bed. As he shifted into a comfortable position, something outside of the window caught his eye. It was the pale shine from Kingdom Hearts. It reminded him of the moon... He stared at it, captivated.

Good night.... Asagi... He closed his eyes.

 

Xemnas took a deep breath.

"Did you ever wonder why we all seem to show an exponential amount of emotion for beings that supposedly have no hearts?"

Without waiting for Xigbar's reply, he continued, "Well, there's a reason for that, and it's about time I let you in on it. Nobodies whose hearts are still in tact somewhere will feel that residue, and that residue is infectious. If we're around someone who still has a heart or someone whose heart is gone but still alive somewhere, it's almost as if we have hearts again. Not enough for us to, say, stop our little experiment," and at this he motioned to the ever-growing heart-shaped moon in the distance, "but enough so that anyone who tells you you have no true emotions is full of sh**, as the kids say."

Xemnas sipped his soda.

"Now, you ask, where is this residue coming from? Kingdom Hearts is too far away unless our hearts were already in it. You're well aware that Roxas' other is still lurking about somewhere, and I commend you for keeping that little tidbit to yourself, but his residue alone is not enough to give all thirteen of us true feelings."

Xemnas sighed, struggling to find the words, "Walking through that door to darkness was a mistake, but it wasn't entirely unplanned. I was able to create a device that allowed me to grab my heart before it disappeared. Foolishly, instead of putting it back, I stumbled around and placed it in a container before I split apart and re-awakened as a Nobody in Twilight Town. All in the name of the experiment."

Taking a few deep breaths and another swig from the soda bottle, he continued, "When the rest of you showed up in Twilight Town, I knew what my Heartless had done. When we finally made it back to the Garden, my study was in shambles, but the container was still there, with my heart still in it. It was then that I decided to right the wrongs I visited upon you five, the only true friends I had, and came up with the idea of unlocking Kingdom Hearts so we could all regain ours. And the heart at the center of that moon, the cornerstone of this great experiment, is none other than...my own."

Xemnas looked gravely at Xigbar, "I'm telling you this because you are my best friend and you above all deserve to know, and because I still feel guilty for leading all of you into this. But also...my heart was weak when I found it. Indeed, it's the continued exsistence of all of you that keeps it strong. If any of you were to perish, I fear I would slowly become the monster everyone says I am."

He put his hand on Xigbar's shoulders.

"That's why...sometimes...I'm overprotective, short on temper, and a tad overbearing. I don't mean to be. But I care about all of you, and until our hearts are fully restored, you all are my humanity. And if anything happens to any of you...I become truly heartless."

Xemnas slumped back in his lounge chair, clearly emotional.

 

Xigbar blinked, his mouth hanging open. He stared at Xemnas for a few moments, then sat back into his chair, deep in thought. He looked up at the huge heart-shaped moon. He looked down. "I believe you, Xemnas... But, even so, I can't help but wonder..."

He turned to Xemnas. "How do you think it will feel...? Ya know... having a heart again... I remember from all of my memories from before what it felt like, but... It's like..."

He sighed. "You know how when you eat something. Like, say... Watermelon, and you like it a lot, but then summer passes and there's no more watermelon left? And, how when you have some the next summer, you remember exactly how it tastes, but it still catches you by suprise and makes you go like, 'MAN, this is good!'"

He looked back at the heart. "I've always wondered... If that's what it'll feel like to have all my true emotions back... Not just the stale old memories, but the fresh, new ones..." He looked down. "Kinda makes you feel..." he trailed off.

 

"Well..." said Xemnas slowly, "it will be a lot less empty for one. I doubt our feelings will be all that different, but we'll have far more control, and we won't feel so...broken."

Xemnas stared at the moon and unconciously put his hand to his cloak pocket, "I imagine it will feel not dissimilar to being in love."

Noticing where his hand was, he pulled it back sharply. "No, Xemnas, don't think like that..."

Suddenly remembering he wasn't alone, he chuckled nervously. "Sorry Xigbar...just my residual emotions getting the best of me again. I have to admit you're not the only one who's been fraternizing with the fairer sex as of late..."

 

Luxord sighed as he continued to walk around, strangely enough still in his Gir suit. He had an attachable leash that was dragging agenst the flooring, squeaky sounds still going as he walked. He was holding a plushie of a piggy as well as a fake rubber taco. He'd squeeze the piggy every now and then, it giving off a squeaky sound at the process.

 

Xigbar smiled slightly, then sat back, looking up at Kingdom Hearts. Yes, he was curious about what was going on with Xemnas, but if Xemnas wanted to talk about it, he would. If he didn't, then that was okay, too. Everyone needed a little space.

He looked down at his hands, still thinking about what Xemnas had told him before. He glanced back up at Kingdom Hearts. ... Xemnas's heart.... Is right in the middle... He blinked, and started thinking about everything Xemnas had done for him. When they were still lab partners, and looked out for each other... The whole episode with Scott... Even right now - this talk he was having with him.

He was silent a while, then murmured, "Actually... I don't believe one thing you mentioned, Xemnas..." He looked back at his friend. "I think your heart is a lot stronger than you give it credit for. Even if one of us DID fade away into nothingness.... I think that you'd still be able to stay the awsome Superior we all know and love."

He smiled, and tapped his chest. "And that's from the heart."

 

Xemnas smiled sadly.

"I'm glad you have faith in me. You know, it would take about half of you getting destroyed in the span of a few hours to do serious damage. Like that could ever happen," Xemnas chuckled.

Sighing, he continued, "Though you have to admit...my ehart has been weak before."

Pondering for an instant, he said "There's something else I need to tell you. Saix knows a little bit, but I haven't filled him in as much as I'm going to fill you in and, for the moment, I'm also going to need your confidence and secrecy on the details of this issue."

 

Xigbar blinked. Whoa... this must be MEGA-secret if he needs to ask me all this! He nodded, quickly. "I won't tell anyone. Cross my non-existant heart, and hope to fade away."

*dodges all of the rotten vegetables thrown at her*))

 

"Well," said Xemnas slowly, "I met someone today. A nobody..."

Xemnas proceeded to tell Xigbar all the events, in exact detail, that occured in the mall with Naminé.

"...and she seems to have a lot of potential, but I don't want to drag her into our world. But I can sense that, like Roxas and myself, her heart still exists somewhere. And there's also something different about her than any other nobody I've encountered."

After taking a deep breath, Xemnas continued "And...although she's obviously far younger than I...I seem to be developing...well...a sort of...crush...if you will...on the girl. Xigbar...Braig...my old friend, what are your thoughts on this?"

((Yeah, I know that second paragraph is a cop-out, but it's been almost a week since my last post and I couldn't find a satisfactory way to re-tell the events.))

Xigbar blinked, staring at Xemnas with wide eyes. "No... way. This is unbelievable...!" He could hardly believe it. Xemnas - his Superior - had a crush on a 18 year old Nobody who'd might as well have fallen out of the sky as much as Xemnas really knew about her.

He felt his brain starting to sizzle. Ugh... Too much... information...

He shook his head slightly, and sat back. "Well, uh, um..." silence for a moment. "Let's skip that last part for now. What was it that you thought was different from other Nobodies again?"

((On a random note, ZOMG, this is now the SECOND biggest RP on KH-Vids... O.O

I never thought we'd be kicked off our throne like that... TT^TT

Oh well. Silver don't come easily, anyways. XD; ))

 

((Sorry it's been so long. I've been having problems lately, and my creative side isn't what it should be. I'll be on sparingly from now on. This is short since I have class in literally one minute.

Oh, by the way, those who have read my earlier posts will note that I have made Naminé 17 going on 18 for the purposes of this RP, just so that the attraction is almost legal at least))

Xemnas thought about that. What did he sense?

"It was...a very odd feeling," he started slowly, "I can't describe it. It's very similar to the feeling of warmth and security a romantic attraction would bring, yet this was different since the attraction was happening simultaneously. I think whatever it is might have something to do with her other..."

 

(( I feel ya... I've been kinda obsessed with fanfictions lately, and I keep on forgetting about the RPs I'm in! @-@ And now standardized tests on top of that - WHAT DOES THE WORLD WANT FROM ME?! XD; ))

Xigbar cocked his head to the side. "Do you think she's the Nobody someone you knew in our other life?" he asked. "And that's why you like her so much...?"
