Organization XIII - It's a beautiful day!

Demyx had finally got his hair to look presentable. "Now what to wear..." He pondered. He opened his cupboard to find a bunch of org. cloaks. "Umm.. no."

He searched deep into his cupboard, finding many.. odd garments as he went. "A bunny outfit? I don't remember wearing this.. oh wait. Xigbar's 67th birthday party. Ah yes." He shuddered as he looked further. "AH-HAH! The perfect outfit." He smiled as he pulled out a navy blue suit and put it on carefully, trying not to interfere with his hair.

 

Axel finished his make-up and made sure he hd everything in order. "Tux? Check. Mak-up? Check. Hair...? Check. Gift? " He took the item he had put at the mall out of his cloak pocket and into the tux's jacket. "Check. Flowers..." He ran to his desk and got the bouqet of flowers. Axel opened a portal and walked through it.

He found himself at the front doors of the castle and waited for Demyx.

 

Demyx took his last deep breath before opening the door and finding Axel at the castle doors, holding some flowers. "...for me?" He asked, quivering.

"Well, of course they must be for me, stupid. C'moon, keep your cool." He scolded himself.

He walked out and closed the door behind him, smiling at Axel.

 

Axel nodded. "Of course, baby." He smiled back. He gave Demyx the flowers and kissed him on the cheek. "You ready to go?"

 

"Yesh!" Demyx said, "So where to?"

He anticipated Axel's reply.

 

"You'll see, baby." And with that, he opened a portal. He led Demyx and himself through it.

Thy were now outside the doors of a VERY fancy french restruant. They walked inside and a woman came up to them.

"Table for two?" She asked.

Axel nodded and the woman led them to a small table and they sat own.

 

"You're mental!"

Xemnas and Naminé were sitting in a booth near the back of the Outback stakehouse, picking lazily on a couple of cheeseburgers.

"There is absolutely no way!" Naminé continued.

"Well why do you say that?" asked Xemnas. "What have you got against the idea?"

"Xemmy, I'm a girl, okay? I know it's possible to have a deep bond of friendship that is in no way sexual."

"And I'm telling you that I live in a castle full of best friends who are constantly shacking up together."

"Do you shack up with any of them?"

"Of course not!"

"Yet you care for them, right?"

"More than my life, somtimes," replied Xemnas honestly. "And a lot more than they're worth."

"So why haven't you partaken in the love that dare not speak it's name?"

"Because I don't like males," said Xemnas.

"Right," smirked Naminé, "You are not gay, or so you claim. So why assume that Frodo and Sam are?"

"Like I said, I don't know about Frodo so much, but Sam definitely is."

"Sam married Rosie Cotton!"

"And no gay man has ever entered a loveless marriage with a woman in a misguided effort to fit in, right?"

"Point taken. However..."

Xemnas took a bite of his burger and continued, "Look, all I know is that halfway up that mountain, I expected Sam to liplock Frodo. And you saw how jealous he was of Frodo's attention towards Gollum."

"Woah, woah, woah, jealous? Of Gollum? Nobody could be jealous of Gollum."

Xemnas sipped his Sprite. "At least he died happy."

"God, you're morose," said Naminé. "In any case, I know for a fact that Frodo and Sam are not lovers."

"Oh? You've spoken to them recently?"

"Professor Tolkien was in the army during the first World War. In the British army at that time, officers had these assistants, I forget what they're called, but they were loyal to a fault to the officers they served. Now, Frodo treats Sam a lot better than the British Officers treated their men, but that's what the relationship was supposed to be."

"And how do you know," said Xemnas, "That these army men were not themselves gay?"

"You're too cynical, Xemmy."

"Why? Because I accept the exsistance of other cultures?"

"God, that's why this world sucks," said Naminé, "Everything is about sex when you don't want it to be, and then when you do want it to be you get a hassle."

"Know this from personal experience, do you?"

"Shut up! When's the last time you got laid?"

Xemnas almost spit his drink out. "Will you keep your voice down?"

"Well?"

"It was before I appeared on Ansem's doorstep," said Xemnas quickly, "If it ever happened at all."

"Ho-lee crap! Dr. Mansex is still carrying the big V!"

"We...don't know that for sure," said Xemnas weakly.

"It's okay," said Naminé, giggling and patting Xemnas on the shoulder, "I feel your pain."

"Yeah, yeah. What I don't know is why I'm even telling you this."

"Because I asked," Naminé said, smiling sweetly.

"Uh-huh. Want any dessert?"

 

Demyx took in the atmosphere.. it was so beautiful. "This place really is awesome.. it must have cost you a fortune." Demyx cringed a bit as he said this and he fiddled with his napkin nervously.

 

"All for you, Demy." Axel's smile grew and he put is hand on Demyx's.

The waiter then came over to their table and asked, "What can I get for you two to drink?"

"Your finest red wine, ma'am." He said, and the waiter walked off to get it.

 

Demyx's jaw dropped a little. "Who's paying for this? Xemnas?!"

He sighed and nervously smiled. "I can't believe you're doing this all for me. I love you."

 

"Well, orginally, I was going to pay for it, but yes, Xemnas gave me a couple thousand dollars." Axel chuckled a bit. "I love you, too."

 

Demyx's eyes went wide. "Wow. I was just joking. Well, that was nice of him, I guess... and all this time I thought he didn't care about us." He said as he rolled his eyes.

The waitress arrived with a bottle of their finest red wine and some glasses. Demyx smiled at her as he took them and poured himself and Axel some drink.

 

Axel nodded at Demyx, then looked at the waitress. "What do you want to eat?" She asked and got out a pen and a paper pad.

"I'll have calimarii(sp?)" Axel awnsered.

"And you?" She asked, pointing her pen to Demyx.

 

"Umm.. I'll just have whatever he's having." Demyx replied and smiled at the lady, even though he didn't really like being pointed at.

 

"Alright. It'll be here in a bit" She said and wandered off.

Axel took a sip of his wine and smiled at Demyx. "You're so beautiul..." He said to the sitarist.

 

Demyx smiled nervously, he never did know how to respond to compliments...

"This is such a nice thing to do, Axel.. and for no apparent reason, too."

 

"Don't be so sure, baby... something might pop up, y'know." Axel giggled and spoke again, "Demyx, I-I have a question...."

 

Demyx's heart jumped into his throat and his stomach was doing the can-can. "Oh God.. what is it?! What is it?! What is it?!"

Well. There's only one way to find out...

"Yes?"

 

Axel sighed, thinking for a bit. "I love you so much, Demy, a-and you know that. I want to say with you, forever. You don't have to ask me, You know that you're all I live for." He looked down at the table, then back at Demyx.

He got up out of his seat and walked over to Demyx. He held his lover's hand and smiled, "Promise...." He got down on one knee infront of him. "Promise You'll stay with me..."

He put his hand in his jacket and got out what he had bought at the jewlery store. It was a little blue rounded case and placed in the palm of his hand. "Baby... Marry me."

Axel opened the case, revealing a men's engagement ring incrusted with rubies and saphires. He looked up to Demyx with the most hopeful eyes he had ever made.

 

Demyx gulped in amazement. That ring was the most beautiful one he'd ever seen. It was all for him.

He tried to stop himself from hyperventilating or passing out..

"Axel.. I-I.. of course I will!"
