Organization XIII - It's a beautiful day!

Marluxia's voice started to break a bit. He tried to look fine, but it obviously wasn't working.

"Have you ever encountered your heartless?"

 

"Only once," said Xemnas. "For a split second before I arrived in Twilight Town as a Nobody. Xigbar, Xaldin, Vexen, Lexaeus, and Zexion have all encountered my Heartless, though. It threw them all into the Door to Darkness, or so they told me once they appeared with me in Twilight. From what they say, it's even less agreeable than I am. And after seeing the ruins of Hollow Bastion at its hands, I'm likely to believe them."

Xemnas met Marluxia's eyes with a worried look.

"Why do you ask?"

 

"I..."

Marluxia's head started to hurt. Then everything was spinning again. He summoned his vines and started strangling the superior, while cutting his neck with the thorns sticking in at the same time.

"Submit to me."

 

Xigbar snapped. He shrieked, "COME!!! NO!!!!!"

He dove into Luxord, screaming, "NO, NO, NO!!!!" and started punching Luxord on the face violently. Then, he got tired of that, and wrapped his hands around Luxords neck and started to squeeze as hard as he could.

"Coooooome...." he hissed, snarling.

 

Xemnas was shocked, he couldn't breathe and his neck felt on fire. This was not the Marluxia he was used to.

With a grimace, Xemnas summoned two red beams of energy from his palms, and cut the offending vines. He then kicked Marluxia in the face, knocking him down.

Quickly, Xemnas jumped on Marluxia's chest and put his face close to the other's.

"If I were not so sure you were not yourself, you'd be dead by now. I might even have to make that so before the day is out."

Xemnas leapt high and sliced a good chunk out of the ceiling, burying Marluxia. That won't hold him long, Xemnas thought, but it'll give me a chance to get away to plan...

Xemnas opened a portal.

Fire burns flowers, thought Xemnas, I must find Axel!

Xemnas dived into the portal and ended up in the middle of a fountain, covered in coins with hundreds of eyes staring at him.

It never ends...

 

"Hey! Hey cut it out!" he said while taking the hits. It's not like he wanted to hurt Xig, but enough was enough. He drew his hand back and slapped Xigbar across the face, although when he did he felt terrible.

 

Xigbar blinked, then rolled off of Luxord, sprawling all over the floor. His eyes were wide open, but they were empty. It looked like the lights were on, but no one was home... A deathly silence filled the room.

 

Axel walked through the mall and found himself at the food court, where a huge foutain stood. He sat on its edge, sniffing the flowers once more. He turned his head when he heard a splashing noise and saw Xemnas in the water. "Uhh, Sir, why are you in the water fountain?"

 

Marluxia got out of the rubble. He coughed out some chalky powder and rubbed his eyes.

"What happened?" He said.

 

"That's it, Xig! I've had enough with this!" he said throwing his arms in the air. He walked over to Xigbar and sat ontop of him, pinning him. He had a bit of a hurt expression on his face. "Stop it."

 

Xig stayed still for a moment, then blinked, closed his eyes, and shook his head. "Nyuh..." he groaned. He started to open his eyes again. "Wha... What...?" The room was blurred around and spinning. He blinked a few more times, then focused on Luxord's face. "Uh.... Luxord...? What are you...? What... What happened...?" he asked. He noticed the bruises starting to form on Luxord's face. He gasped. "Oh, no! Scott didn't hurt you, did he?!" he blurted without thinking. He started looking around. "W-Where is he?!"

 

Luxord shook his head. "No one else was in this room.....you were the one who did this.." he said softly. Something was wrong with Xig, and breaking news like this to him was something he didn't want to do.

 

Xigbar's eyes widened with shock. Slowly, he turned his head, and looked Luxord in the eye. "I... I did WHAT...?!" he asked. It was a stupid question - a waste of air, really... Luxord's eyes didn't lie.

Suddenly, there was a sick feeling in the bottom of his stomach. Okay... Let's see... He hung out with you and talk with you when no one else would, declared his love for you, spent the whole day looking for you, even tried to spend the night with you to make sure that you were okay, and WHAT do you do...? You beat him to a pulp. How are you gonna live with yourself, Xiggy?

he looked away, again, biting his lip. He suddenly became aware that Luxord was pinning him down. He blinked back tears, then whispered, "L-Look... Luxord... I'm sorry... I... I didn't mean too... I... I..." How was he supposed to explain it? He didn't even know what had happened! "I... I'm sorry..." He finished at last. He couldn't expect Luxord to forgive him, after what he'd done to him...

 

Luxord got off of Xigbar and stood up. He helped Xigbar up and brushed the particles off of him, then stared directly into Xigbar's eyes. He was best friends with Xig, and he didn't want to get mad at him. He moved closer to him and gave him a hug, holding him tight. "Doesn't matter what you do to me, I'll always be your friend," he said softly.

 

Xigbar gasped, and looked at Luxord hugging him. Then, he smiled back, and hugged him, also. "Thanks, Luxord..." he whispered. "I don't deserve someone like you..." I'm kinda glad Scott got me and not him... I'd hate for anyone - especially Luxord - to feel this way... he thought, closing his eyes. He held on a little tighter. I was gonna talk to him.. But now I just feel like somethings are better left unsaid... He drew back, then looked down. "So... Do you wanna go now...?" he asked.

 

Luxord smiled a bit before the question was asked. "Well...we don't have to. Not like we have anything else to do, right?" He said, shrugging a bit. He didn't have anything on his mind referring to activity, and he wanted to stay with Xigbar to make sure he was alright.

 

Xigbar nodded. "Okay, then..." he said, turning to leave. "Let's go find..." He trailed off, then just stood there, motionless. His whole mind shut down. Then, he suddenly whiped around, and punched Luxord a great right hook to his jaw. He laughed ruthlessly as his friend flew across the room, and skidded across the floor.

"Heh.... Heh heh heh... Luuuuuuuuxooooorduuuuuh...." he hissed again. his eyes looked as if they were dipped in a firery vat of insanity. He stalked over. to Luxord. "Coooooom-muuuuuh......"

 

Luxord blinked before being knocked in the jaw. He slid across the room and he layed on the ground motionless. His small body didn't have much energy, and he took a beating earlier as it is. He groaned and moved his head to look at Xigbar. "W...why?" That's all he could say at the time.

 

Xemnas put his hands to his throat. Only nicked me, he thought, Thank god... He looked around and saw the familiar red spikes of his quarrry.

"Axel!"

Xemnas climbed out of the fountain. His cloak was soaking wet which threw him slighlty off balance as he tried desperately to get to Axel without tripping on himself, almost failing this at several points, his boots going squish-squish-squish as he walked. He was able to save himself from a final fall by quickly grasping Axel's shoulders and using him for support.

"Marluxia..." Xemnas gasped, "Marluxia's gone mad. He asked me about my Heartless, and then he tried to strangle me with his vines. I escaped and I came to find you."

Xemnas took a few more gasps. "I had to get away, because I knew he wasn't himself and I knew that if I stayed, I would kill him. I don't want him dead. Yet. However, I could tell if I held back in any way I wouldn't last long myself."

"I think..." Xemnas said, locking eyes with Axel, "I think Marluxia has residue of his Heartless in his very non-being, and it's controlling him at points. Now it's not constant, but he is a danger to the others. I need you're help. I postulated that since you are a fire elemental, and Marluxia's element is highly flammable, that not only could you destroy him if need be, but also possibly intimidate him enough so you won't have to destroy him right away..."

Xemnas sighed. "I'm not making much sense, am I? We need time to plan...Vexen's still at the castle. He...well, it's she now, isn't it? I don't know if I'll get used to that...she's an amacable fighter. I sent her off to look for Xigbar and Luxord, which is who I'm really worried about. Saix, I know, is slinking around. Larxene I last saw in the kitchen hours ago, though who knows where she is now...and according to you, Demyx is still at the castle...they could hold Marluxia at bay, but I don't know how long they'll be able to keep."

Xemnas shook his head. "Axel, is there anyone else in the castle besides who I just mentioned?"

 

Axel nodded. "Yeah, Ropxas dissapeared a bit ago, too." The redhead got up off from where he was sitting. "Umm, incase you haven't noticed, Marluxia is always like this and it'll go away soon, I'll help, but not tday. Me and Demyx have reservations...." He said, glancing at the clock once more.
