Xigbar grinned at the girl before snapping his fingers and opening a dark corridor, "I ain't got no promises this'll be easy for you." He shoved her into the dark corridor and followed suit. They stepped out not in Twilight Town, but his favorite place ever...Hollow Bastion. "We'll start here. Better place than that desolate Twilight Town if you ask me." Summoning his Arrowguns, he glanced around. "Alright...so first things first. The name's Xigbar. There are three...well at least three, things you have to do in this Organization. Recon...which is probably the most boring of them all. It's gathering information about a certain person or a place. Usually...it's left to those who are waaaay lamer than me...or Vexen. Heart Collection...if you can use the Keyblade then that's your job for life here. Like Tiger and Poppet, it's their jobs forever. Otherwise...we're left with simply distracting and squashing any early signs of serious Heartless threat. We're like the protectors of these worlds..." he stopped tapping his arrowguns against his shoulder, "Except...we couldn't care less." Xigbar pulled up his hood, hiding his face efficiently and reached over to yank up Xenon's hood. "Last...well, it's a job I'm quite good at. General Combat. Those with the strength stand against the brat and his friends. The Keyblade Master...is our constant enemy. Though he does his job well in helping create Kingdom Hearts by collecting Hearts for us....he's still a big problem when it comes down to the final preparations."



Xion caught his gaze and immediately withdrew. "No...I won't." She lowered her head sadly and Axel desperately waved his hands and ice cream about, "Hey, that's no reason to get gloomy. We can still hang out like before and now that she's awake...aren't things better, Roxas? C'mon...you're not going to let a little lack of work with your friends get you down, are ya?" He patted Roxas' shoulder, "You've still got me, right? And...if we're lucky and in time...Xemnas and Saix will forget about the whole thing." He smiled when Xion lifted her head, a relieved expression on her face. "Axel's right, Roxas. If we work hard...things will go back to the way they were..." The way they were... Those words resonated in her head, in memories that weren't hers. She froze, her hand held suspended in the air as her ice cream melted and fell away.

 

Zexion walked through to the Grey Room with a book held out in front of him. He had the peculiar skill of being able to read, and walk at the same time. He always knew where objects and other people were, so that he never walked into anything, and he was able to give the book his full attention at the same time. As he walked in, he spotted Xollot asleep on a sofa. He seated himself in an armchair opposite her and watched her over the top of his book for a few moments.

Xollot was only in a light and superficial sleep, so that she soon became aware of the presence of another person. A moment of concentration told her who it was. She sat up and looked at his face which bore an expression of inquiry.
“I needed the sleep and nobody saw fit to issue me with a room.”

Zexion nodded understanding. Quite a few new scents were in the air, which meant that Xemnas and the others would be busy.
“I will take you to a vacant room.”

Xollot nodded her thanks.

Zexion dropped her at an empty room and then returned to the Grey Room. Xollot leaned her staff against the wall by her bedstead and put her crossbow just under the bed, both within easy reach. Then she stretched out on the bed and promptly fell asleep. Properly asleep this time. She would wake the next fully rested and ready to deal with her weapons.

 

~Castle that Never Was: Dining Room~

Vexen walked into the dining area after having left Xemnas' meeting in the round room from earlier with the words and sentences still buzzing in his head about letting someone as inexperienced as Raoxthu go with Xue and entrusted with the replica, his thoughts were then interupted when he saw Demyx pigging out on jello like a wild beast and Raoxthu with his face laying in an empty bowl snoring. "NUMBER IX! EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT HAPPENED HERE WITH XX!!!!" Vexen shouted aloud noticing the food on the table.

Demyx stopped pigging out on the jello and explained with his mouth full "Well, He cooked all of this food so everyone could eat it saying we were his family or something, then I tried to take the jello but he wouldn't let me and I sulked to the table, and after that he tried calling the others on the intercom to no avail, sat down, ate loads of food, and then fell face first into that empty bowl before falling asleep..all while I took the jello"

The Chilly Academic facepalmed in embaressment at number XX's position before recollecting himself and lightly shook Raoxthu. The slumbering nobody jumped as he yelled in a panic "I'm sorry I fell asleep at the table sir! Don't do anything to me!" at the older nobody said calmly "Calm down XX, you just fell asleep from a overstuffed stomach. Now I want you to listen to me closely, The Superior has issued that I am to not interfere with your next mission with number 0...or that blue haired girl you first met"

"Wait, so I'm going on a mission with her? What about you then?" Raoxthu asked in concern on account of his memories shortly before Vexen said assuringly "Do not worry about me XX, just tell me if any more of those memories reawaken when you return from a mission, after all you need to get to know everyone here". "You mean like Demyx over there?" Raoxthu asked pointing at Demyx who was back to pigging out on the jello "Yes, that would mean someone like number IX and even eventually numbers VIII and XIII, just keep focus on the job and you'll not get swayed by them..now the replica is another story since you will be working with her"

"Replica?" Raoxthu asked before Vexen proceded to explain to him about Xion and how she had been asleep

Xena smiled at Xigbar's grin.

--You're too adorable.--

"Well just gimme what you got, I'm sure I can take it."

A sudden shove startled her into a half-trip.

"I only have so much balance, you know," she said, clearly irritated.

The scene turned into a town that had an array of colors.

"I can see why you like it here so much, it's really nice," her eyes shone at the man. "Twilight Town sure seems like a bummer."

The pull of the hood over her head surprised her greatly, "Hey man, watch the hair!" she scolded. Xena hated her hair being messed up. The way Xigbar pulled the hood over her head made it almost cover her eyes, making her look childish and silly. She fixed her hood and hair accordingly.

" If it isn't too much trouble I am interested in both recon and combat. I am very patient and Fteetfoot is very fast and silent. So what's up with this keyblade wielder anyway?"

 

Xenon looked up to him and if she could feel excitement her heart would be pounding happily.

"My name is Xenon." There was a pull at her lips as she tried to smile. It was odd not to have any feelings to automatically be able to smile, it felt like she was disabled or something.

I hope Xaldin likes my name...​

"Xena went with the man with the eyepatch." She continued on, hands behind her back playing with the long, thick braid. "She told me to come with you, since you were waiting." The small smile grew a bit more.

 

Xollot woke that morning and immediately got to work on her weapons. She sat herself cross legged upon her bed and set the crossbow on the bedspread in front of her. She closed her eyes in concentration and some fifteen minutes later she exhaled and re-opened her eyes to see her gently glowing crossbow. After a moment's rest she had it rise into the air and go around the room coming to rest in a corner. It's flight was clumsy, but that was to be expected, the connection was but newly made.

Some ten minutes later the staff rose into the air and joined the crossbow in the corner. Then they both rose into the air and attempted to do a figure eight. This ended rather badly, for they collided in midair and went careening drunkenly in opposite directions.

Xollot allowed herself a quarter of an hour to rest up from the energy she had exerted, then made her way to the kitchen. It was a mess in there, but that was none of her business. She got some fruit and made herself a few hard boiled eggs. Having eaten these, she made her way to the Round Room and saw a few new chairs, each labeled. She made her way to the highest of the new chairs which had her name written at the foot of it. Xollot leapt into the chair and turned her gaze inquiringly towards Xemnas patiently waiting for his attention and instructions.

(OCC: I accidentally lost the first version of this so i had to retype it. SO annoying!)

 

Xigbar stopped smiling and touched the scar on his cheek. "What's a Fleetfoot? Ah, nevermind. I'll just put it this way... He's someone who wields the Keyblade, but he doesn't understand our desire for hearts of our own. He's opposed us before...and taken us all down. He's..." Xigbar looked down at his empty left hand, "He's someone most of us knew before. Now we know him like the back of our hands. Sora's his name...and his friend, Riku, are nothin' more than bothers. If you see them...try not to do anything stupid like fight them. Leave that for the members with hearts. We only have one chance at this...they...if struck down by Sora and his gang, will become Heartless and Nobodies. It's just easier for us not to stick our necks on the line when someone else can do it twice." He headed down the street, walking slowly, "Now...your first test is simple. This will do." Stopping in the middle of the square, several Heartless, Pureblood Shadows and Soldiers, popped up, each twitching in their familiar manner.



Xemnas sat quietly, ignoring Xollot. Saix sat in his usual seat, quietly enjoying being in his master's presence. He glanced up and scowled at Xollot, "A watched pot never boils. Isn't that what they say?" Naturally he was snippy, being tired from reviewing all the mission reports and sorting out tomorrow's missions, he just wanted to sit quietly and ponder with Xemnas. Though the Superior didn't take notice of him, he still felt much more refreshed after doing so. Xemnas' golden eyes slid upwards. He watched them with an empty gaze and went back to focusing on the sensation he'd felt earlier. Was it truly a feeling? Could they be closer than before to gaining hearts and he just didn't realize it? But...what sort of feeling was it? Did it even have a name? It wasn't anger...that much he knew. Sort of a swelling shakiness had settled in his body when he had gazed down at the sleeping Xue after visiting Xion. Maybe...talking to his 'friend' would sort things out inside his head.



Larxene grumbled as she stalked into the dining room. "Ugh, if I even see another piece of sushi again I'm going to LOSE IT!" "Then perhaps it would be wise to steer clear of fish." Xue's light voice followed behind her and Larxene's teal eyes slid to the side, though she never turned to look at her fully. "Hmph, if it were that easy, I don't think I'd have to voice it. Anyways...I'd heard you were bedridden. Did a Heartless get the better of you...poor Xue-y-wooey." she mocked openly even as they now stood behind Vexen and Raoxthu. Xue's face remained impassive, "No...I summoned it...and it drained me of energy. Doing my mission requires such sacrifices. Perhaps...if you sacrificed more of your pride for the sake of the mission...you wouldn't return so hot tempered." Treding on thin ice, Xue and Larxene stared at each other. "Why you-" "If you intend to harm me...a lack of witnesses would be in your favor." Xue ceased speaking as her gaze landed on Raoxthu. Lifting a hand slowly, she attempted a wave and the beginnings of a smile started to form on her lips as the back of Larxene's hand connected with her cheek, whipping her head to the side. Xue dropped her hand, a single blazing blue ethereal blade forming in her left hand.

 

Xollot did not deign to reply, but turned her gaze to Saix for a moment, then looked away. She did not leave, but instead flung one leg over the chair arm, pulled a newspaper and a pen from her pocket, and settled down to doing the crossword. There was nothing else for her to do and she saw little object in leaving the room, when she would just have to return later. No, she was staying right where she was and if Saix didn't like it, he could take a long walk off a short pier as far as Xollot was concerned.

Now, what was number two across? Five letters, a grim personage....Death. Yes, that was it.

 

~Dining Room~

Demyx saw the first shot fired and raised his fist into the air yelling "WOO! CATFIGHT!" before Vexen facepalmed at Demyx's sheer stupidity and said in an agitated tone "Number IX are you trying to get us killed by...by her!?" shortly before his eyes widened and he pointed at Larxene in panic adding "I am not going to get myself killed again all because of your childish antics and that crazy bi...." before finally seeing Raoxthu standing near the two girls as he simply gave a wave and said cheerfully "Hello!" causing Vexen to facedesk..or was it facetable. Raoxthu looked at the two before his eyes half-closed as he said in a dull tone "Oh, it's just you hornet-head, you know you shouldn't go around smacking people like that, what if someone else were to do it to you....like this!" shortly before he swung his hand to slap Larxene in the face.

"Number IX, let's get out of here before we get ourselves killed!" Vexen yelled in a panic before Demyx ignored the Chilly Academic and stood right beside Raoxthu yelling "THAT WAS FOR MY SODA, YOU JERK!" watching as Raoxthu swung his hand. "You have GOT to be kidding me" Vexen said to himself as he saw both Raoxthu and Demyx try and defend Xue adding a confused "Why?"

 

Xemnas finally looked up, noticing Xollot. How long had he been inside his head? He didn't have a mission for her nor did he have anything to tell her. Another twinge inside him diverted his attention to the brief sensation of impending destruction. "Xollot...I have a job for you to do around here. Go and make yourself useful by keeping Vexen company...." Even Saix looked up in surprise. An odd job for a newbie. Vexen was tempermental and intrusive, not to mention a very acute person in mindframe.



Larxene caught Raoxthu's hand and ducked under Demyx's swing. But with her attention momentarily on them, Xue had pressed her right palm to Larxene's chest. A tingling sensation sprung up from the contact and burst into an electric pulse so powerful she couldn't absorb it and was flung backwards into Raoxthu, Vexen and Demyx. "Oof...why you..." She pushed herself up and froze in her tracks. Xue...the quiet, blue haired girl, weilded two Ethereal Blades like Xemnas did, but blue with handles to hold onto. Her bangs hid her golden eyes from view but the smile on her face was one of pure malice, "Amaterasu..." she mumbled and black flames scurried along the floor towards them. They surrounded Larxene and Larxene alone, though they held an extra heat as if they were regular flames. Larxene's teal eyes went dull and she shrieked in terror shortly before collapsing on the ground. The flames slunk back towards Xue, being absorbed into her boots and coat. Her Ethereal Blades disappeared and she lifted her head again, a pitying look in her eyes as she gazed at Larxene's unconsious body.

 

Eve had wished that she was able to have better control over her appetite. Begrudgingly, she moved out of her bedroom and proceeded to the dining to find herself some kind of meal. As she approached though, she could hear the ruckus that was going on. She was surprised to see the blonde lying on the floor, with the scent of ember on the other girl.

"What happened to her," Eve asked, with a bit of a laugh in her voice?

 

Xollot looked up from her paper and gave a short nod. She jumped down from her chair and strode from the room. Vexen..Why was she to go to him? He normally taught things like Recon, but she was not being sent out of the castle with him. She was just to “keep him company.”she didn't understand, but she wasn't about to argue. Any action, even a seemingly pointless one, was better than sloth.

The moment she was out of the Round Room Xollot heard the ruckus coming from the kitchen, and she directed her steps there. She arrived to see a good deal of confusion. She saw the flames retreating back into Xue, and her eyes roved over the rest of the scene, taking in Larxene sprawled upon the floor, the people grouped around Xue, and finally Vexen, standing as far back as space would allow, keeping himself well out of harms way.

Xollot skirted the others, and positioned herself beside Vexen. She did not draw attention to herself, firstly, because Vexen seemed quite preoccupied by the fracas which had just occurred, and secondly, because he was almost sure to be obstinate and resentful when she told him that Xemnas had told her to stay with him. With this in mind, Xollot hovered behind him, not sure precisely what she was supposed to do, but carefully watching everything that went on around her.

-------------------------------------------------------Destiny Islands ---------------------------------------------------

Sora still waited. He got up early each morning and watched for the gummi ship until night. And then the cycle began all over again. Finally, after days of waiting, just as he was getting ready to give up for the day, and go home to bed, he saw a new light in the sky. A light that moved. When he saw that, Sora became very excited, despite the seriousness of the matter, and he cried out “Alright!”

When the ship landed, and Donald and Goofy spilled out, he ran to greet them, and was enveloped in a great hug, all three of them melded into a joyous jumble of arms and heads. When the broke apart, the gravity of what was happening came down upon them again, particularly Sora, whose friend was gone...again. They each informed each other of what they knew (which wasn't much) and finally Sora said, “So...where do we go?”

 

Shiro's eyes widened at the castle before him. Wow,wonder if anyone stays here or something. He thought as he made his way towards the Castle. Personalty, his was a little bit shocked at finding a giant castle here so it made some sense why the first he thought was if anybody was there. No matter how obvious the answer may have been.

 

~Dining Room~

Neither of the three men said a word about what had just happened before them as Raoxthu looked down at Larxene's body and said aloud "Well guys and girls, I think Hornet Head's dead" shortly before Vexen walked over looking down at Larxene and sighed "Not quite, as much as alot of people want her dead it actually looks like she's still alive down there, and will you stop calling her Hornet Head before she rises and knocks you out" Demyx then looked around at the people in the room before he pointed out "Well looks like people are willing to try your food now Raoxthu with the amount of ruckus we caused" causing Raoxthu to gasp in realization "Oh yeah, I almost forgot I cooked all of this food earlier, thanks Demyx" before he sat down in his seat and started to eat again with Demyx joining in pigging out on jello again.

Vexen gave off a snide chuckle at Larxene's unfortunate situation and said to himself "Maybe number 0 isn't as bad as I thought she would be, oh well that calamity made me hungry so I guess it's time to eat this stuff XX made" shortly before Demyx yelled aloud "Hope it don't kill you, old man!" only for Vexen to yell "Quiet, some people are trying to eat and some haven't even ate yet" as he sat down at the table causing Raoxthu to laugh as he asked "Will you join us number 0?" getting into Vexen's habit of refering to people as numbers

 

Xollot looked down at Larxene and considered for a moment. Then she cast a slow healing spell under her breath. Larxene would recover, but it the spell worked slowly, very slowly. It would be at least an hour and a half before she was healed enough to rejoin the land of consciousness, and hopefully by then, Xue would be out of sight. She could have just left her there, but Larxene was a commodity, and tools should not be thrown aside needlessly, however tiresome they may be. If a person must be dispensed with, it should ideally be got rid of in the course of doing something useful, not by getting into cat fights in a kitchen.

As soon as the spell was cast Xollot turned her back on Larxene, and leaned herself against the wall a few feet from Vexen's chair. It was probably a pointless task, but she was not complaining. It gave her more time to rest from that unfortunate incident with the Phantom, and ample opportunity to finish her crossword whilst keeping an eye on Vexen over the top of her paper.

Xaldin smiled as he looked at her "Xenon? I like it very nice to meet you Xenon." He saw her starting to smile and he put one of his hands on her shoulder "It takes a little time getting use to it doesn't it? We have no hearts but we gain something instead." He held out his other hand and one of his lances appeared. "We all have are own weapons including you. We can also use magic and open corridors of darkness which we use for travel" He opened one behind him and then said to her "It might look scary but there is nothing to be scared of. He took a step towards the portal "Shall we go Xenon?"
Roxas smiled "You guys are right everything will be fine." He ate his ice cream and then looked at both his friends. "This is are second chance" then in an attempt to make Xion smile he added "got it memorized?" as he sarcastically looked at Axel and then broke into laughter.

 

Larxene was in fact not unconscious. Her body hurt like hell, but she still watched the girl from beneath her eyelashes. How could it be that this girl used a foreign power that she'd never even seen Xemnas use before. Could it be...that was the reason she held a number that shouldn't exist and a place higher than her Superior? She watched and gauged Xue's reaction time. It was slow now. The girl didn't react at all to Raoxthu's words or Vexen. She mearly turned on her heel and left quietly. This child...is much more dangerous than I foresaw before hand. What is that power?

Xenon looked at the lances that appeared in his hand. And then to her own hands as she lifted them, expecting something to appear. Nothing happend just yet...

I have something like that?​

Her eyes then went back up to him as he continued to explain.

Corridors of Darkness?​

She didn't really like the sounds of that. Xenon stepped back and eyed the portal. She knew she would have felt that fast pump of fear in her chest, this corridor of darkness was scary, the dark shadows swirling.

As Xaldin stepped closer to the portal she kept her feet planted on the ground....

"Shall we go Xenon?"

Her eyes went from the dark swirling shadows, to his eyes.

What will happen if I go in? The darkness was scary when i was in it....​

Taking a deep breath she stepped closer to.Xaldin, keeping her eyes only on him. "Xaldin, your my friend. So I trust you..." She tried to smile again and was directly behind him waiting for him to lead the way.

 

Luxord entered the kitchen, late to the action. By now, Eve was heating up water for some quick, instant ramen, while Kenji seemed to be nowhere in sight. He was perplexed at what had happened out of his sight, and was surprised to see such a strong and furious fighter lying on the floor.

"Even the best card sharks take a loss every once in a while," Luxord commented, as he observed Larxene.

 

Xena's smile disappeared along with Xigbar's. The scar on his face intrigued her greatly and she wished to feel what the skin was like.

--Just one touch.--

She restrained herself from reaching for his cheek. It would probably create an akward moment for them both.
"Well why haven't you talked to him about it? Surely you could come to an agreement. Since all of us hunt heartless, why can't we work together? The heartless will be eliminated and in return the Keyblade Wielder will let us search for hearts of our own."
Xena hoped that she didn't sound irrational or stupid. She followed slightly behind the eye-patched one.
When they came to a stop and the heartless appeared, Xena smiled and thought they were absolutely adorable. But Xigbar said she should destroy them so she had no problem. She had no heart right?
Fleetfoot appeared next to Xena, about the height of her ribs.
"Hey boy, where you been?"
She turned to Xigbar and smiled, "This is Fleetfoot."
His tail unzipped and raised to curl over his back, growling at the heartless.
"Alright let's get this over with."
Xena and Fleetfoot both sprinted together at the heartless. She used a sliding kick to knock a shadow and soldier into the air. Fleetfoot was upon them within a second, ripping their darkness infused necks with his tail. The female was a little slow on getting back up so a soldier managed to get a swipe at her arm.
"Damn it," she spurted out as blood seeped down her sleeve,"I just barely got this thing."
With a strong, well-placed punch she managed to knock it over and get the advantage. A dropkick to the head after that took him out. A shadow crept up behind her and jumped on her back, Fleetfoot quickly disposed of him. Xena jumped onto the fox Nobody's back and he ran quickly around each heartless that was left, which wasn't that much, only a few. Xena kicked each one in the face as they passed by, knocking them so hard that they were easy to kill off with another blow or Fleetfoot stampeding over them.
She turned and smiled at Xigbar.
