Xemnas closed his eyes, "That's enough questions, Even. Xion will not be participating in missions with Axel and Roxas. She works alone once she wakes up. Having more than one Keyblade user collecting hearts in different worlds is benefitial to us than having them together...one wasting time." He thought about earlier...the training session had ended badly for two members. If they couldn't cut it...it was better that they faded. "Gexln...and Xixili...have faded away. We have no use for weak members. Of course...their passing happened a while ago...." he didn't mention that it was by Xue's delicate hands that they died.



Xigbar dodged a blast wave from the Heartless he was fighting. How dredful...if he didn't make it over to the kid in time...he wouldn't make-- Seems he had too much faith in the boy. Jaxan ended impailed by the Heartless and cast aside to fade in the corner. Xigbar spat on the ground and combined his weapons, "Time for the finale! Sorry, pal, but you're much too dangerous to let roam around until a Keyblade kid gets here. Maybe when you come back, that little runt will take care of you for me." Grinning at the memory of Sora's defiant expression, he shot a homing bullet at it and pinned it to the side of a grave.

 

Xaldin was angry at Xue but accepted the crystal. It floated to his hand and it felt strange. He turned to Xollot "Time to head back Xollot I will give Xenmas my report, head to the round room." He opened a corridor and stepped through it. He was tired, angry, and not in a good mood. He entered the round room, "mission complete sir and then some." He opened his hand to show Xenmas the shard. "I hate to be speak out of turn superior but I am number III and I would like some explanation. Xue created a phantom class heartless but it was somehow feeding off her powers and adapting. I'm afraid she would have been lost forever if we didn't stop it. It took four organization members to defeat it and it almost overwhelmed us. It was even able to close corridors of darkness."
I'm sorry if i'm speaking out of place my lord but that world is important to us."

He stopped for a moment and then continued with his report. "My lord Xollot is a very skilled fighter. She is a long range fighter but has also great close range abilities. She has great magical skill and was able to defeat 2 large groups of heartless in about 10 seconds. She has a lot of knowledge about us and she clames to have the ability to transform into shadows. She passed all of my test." Part of him hoped he would be able to work with her in the future but another part of him wouldn't let him get soft like Axel.

"Axel has taken Xue to her room and I was suppose to give this to you a gift from the core of the phantom." He let the crystal leave his hand as it floated to Xenmas and awaited for what he would say.


Roxas fell on the ground but was able to stay awake, it was that girl again the one he saw in the round room. "Alright Axel" he said to his friend. He looked at Xaldin as he left and his mind wondered to Xion. I wish you could hear me Xion he thought I hope you will wake up soon.

 

Xemnas accepted the crystal shard without a word. Letting it rest in his palm, he frowned at it and his fingers twitched inwards, nearly crushing the shard in his hand. "I had wondered where she had gone off to. So this is what she has been trying to recover... It was not worth her time." Lifting his golden gaze to Xaldin, he remained expressionless, "Xue has her own missions to complete. Missions that are given in secret, Xaldin. If you wish to know that information...things will change." He didn't wait for Xaldin's response and instead everything in the Round Room turned a shimmery blue. Similar crystals to the one Xue had retrieved floated around them, "Xue...Number 0...her name betrays her true form. The Ice Queen...no...The Queen of Eternity. I accepted her upon revival into our ranks because her face...is familiar. She was there...when my true Somebody left...and when I was extracted. A Nobody born from two hearts at war with each other. Xue showed me my true self...and my destiny." He delicately touched one of the floating crystals around them, "Xue will find the Room of Awakening...and she will traverse the Darkness...to find what has been lost. She is a collector of memories...and an imprisoner of Hearts. Unlike the Keyblade Masters...Xue cannot gather Hearts to form Kingdom Hearts...but she can use them to lure out those who can." Closing his eyes, the room returned to normal and he disappeared from his chair. Reappearing beside Xaldin. Walking past him, he breifly set a hand on Xaldin's shoulder, "Has your admiration in the child, Xollot, gotten the better of you...Dilan?" A smile spread across his face and he disappeared once again.

 

Xaldin thought that's what Xue is as he listened to his superior, and when Xenmas said his true name it made some memories come back. His past life in Radiant Garden Then he chuckled. "You know me my only goal is to help you superior. The girl just reminds me of myself, If she gets in are way I will crush her myself. "She is just a tool to be used nothing more". He then wondered if thats what he was to Xenmas a tool.He bowed "I understand my lord thank you for sharing this information with me. What do you need me to do next."

 

Xollot had arrived in the Round Room a few seconds after Xaldin. She had heard most of his demand for information, and all of his assessment of her performance.


Xollot had a very strong sense of self confidence, which bordered on supreme arrogance. The arrogance was tempered with a good deal of common sense, so that she took genuine and helpful criticism well and used it to improve herself. Of course when criticism was misplaced and untrue, she responded with ruthlessly savage and sarcastic verbal battering. When Xaldin spoke of her combat and magical skills she allowed herself a small smile of satisfaction that her skills were sufficiently appreciated.


When Xemnas started speaking she heard the first part of what he said, but at the moment he uttered the words “things will change” the room seemed to contort and where she was standing became an island surrounded by complete silence and darkness. She did not understand what was happening, or how it was happening, but she could readily guess why it was happening. Xemnas was answering Xaldin's question, and she, a new recruit, was not entitled to hear it. This did not annoy her. It was common sense, and good strategy; just what she would have done in his place. It did not do to be to free with secrets.


When the darkness cleared Xemnas had vanished from his place and was walking past Xaldin's chair. Then he left.


She ignored the snide comment about herself and Xaldin and after a moment of silence Xollot said, “For the record, I never claimed to be able to transform into shadows. It's called camouflage. Dark clothing can be just as good a cover as that of a Stealth Sneak heartless, provided the wearer knows how to move. On a side note, with whom do I speak about accommodation? I could do with some rest.”

The green hazel eyes slowly opened

Where am I?
​

All around her was darkness, cold darkness. But up ahead she could see a small light.

A light? Where am I going? I feel so...empty...​

The female's empty body felt like a feather as she was lifted closer and closer to the light. Her eyes closed as it shined so bright.

Finally, the light dissapeared and when her eyes reopened she saw looking up at a dark sky.She sat up, getting a head rush and feeling dizzy.

Where am I? What's going on? Where is my home?...Where is home?

As the girl slowly stood up she realized her attire. A black cloak. Looking at her gloved hands she looked up to the castle.

Will they know where I am at?

​

So slowly the girl, who remebered nothing of her past, stepped toward castle, up the steps and to the door.

 

Xollot entered the room right when Xaldin was done talking about her. "I will speak with you later Superior." He left the room without saying a word to Xollot. He felt someone new and decided to go meet the new member. He went to the main door and with a snap of his fingers it opened. He then saw her, she had green hazel eyes. He smiled "Welcome to the Castle That Never Was. I'm sure you have questions come with me and they will be answered. My name is Xaldin and I will take you to see are leader.

 

She stepped back as the doors opened and looked to the tall man who called himself Xaldin.

Xaldin, what a nice smile...​

Her expression was blank, her almond eyes took in the broad-shouldered man. His long thick side burns which, if she wasn't so scared and confused, she would have smiled and laughed.

Can I smile?​

Walking inside the palace she came closer to the man. Between the two she was of course very small.

"who am I, Xaldin?" she asked him, her voice just as empty and light as her body felt.

Would he know? Would he help her figure out who she was and what happened to her? Why she was here at this place, The Castle That Never Was? So many questions she had and who would answer them?

The person he called "leader" maybe?

 

Xaldin smiled once again as he looked at her."Don't be afraid you are surrounded by friends." He closed the door with a snap of his fingers. "You have been reborn and will be given a new name." He then said "You don't remember anything about your past life do you. It's alright the memories will come back in due time. First lets go get your new name." He could tell she was scared and confused so he held out his hand. "We all have been given this second chance but as a cost we have all lost the most valuable thing to us. Do you know what that is my child, can you feel what you have lost?"

 

The female was in a state of half -sleep when she felt wind blowing in her hair. It was very peaceful but she fully awakened to a bouncing rhythm. Startled by the movement, she sat up, and much to her surprise she was side -saddled on a lesser Nobody.*

"What the?" was all she could muster at the surprise.

The lesser Nobody was something like she had never seen before. It resembled a fox yet was the light grey that Dusks and others were like and had pointed feet instead of paws. The Nobody symbol stood out proudly on its head, and to her surprise, with a closer look, it had no mouth, not even the zipper mouths that Dusks had.*

"How strange, to not have a mouth," she pondered.*But with a glance toward its rear end she saw its bushy tail had a zipper and two black diamonds that looked like eyes. "That must be the mouth, how odd."

Getting tired and uncomfortable, she decided to turn forward to saddle the lesser Nobody normally. As she did, a black cloak came into view.

"Why am I dressed like this?" she asked herself. But she quickly figured out that she was a Nobody. "I don't know how I got here or who I really am, but I will get to the bottom of this."

As she lowered her head towards the ground she noticed there was no ground, the fox was running and jumping over buildings. "What a peculiar place Mr. Fox, where are we going exactly?" She raised her head to see a giant luminescent heart pouring its light on a mighty huge castle that also bore the mark of the Nobody. "Is that where we are going?"*

The fox seemed to nod slightly.

"I guess I should give you a name huh? It wouldn't be polite to be calling you Mr. Fox or Nobody all the time. Let's see..." She started to stroke her chin in thought then jumped up a little when she came to a name. "I know! I'll call you Fleetfoot since you're so fast on your feet."*

The female turned her head around to see a smile on the fox's tail.

"I knew you'd like it," she smiled wide.

After a while they got really close to the castle, but she did not know how they would get up there. To her astonishment, the Fleetfoot gave a great leap and teleported right in front of the castle doors, landing as soft as a feather.*

Xena knocked on the door, not knowing Xaldin and the other new member had just entered. "Hello?" She said moderately loud from the back of the lesser Nobody, which seemed calm and content.

 

Xemnas hovered over Xion's beside, holding the crystal shard in his palm. Could it possibly be...Xue had retrieved what was needed to wake her? He set it over her forehead and it slowly sank into her head. Surprised, Xemnas leaned forwards, examining her face. A few muscle twitches...and finally...a stirring of her eyelids. Was it...? The question was...would she remember her actions.



Xigbar returned with all smiles and a torn coat from the member that had faded on the mission. He saw Xaldin and a new girl standing in the doorway, "Hello~ who do we have here? Hey, Xaldin, take care of this for me, would you?" He chucked the coat at Xaldin's feet and chuckled his way past them. "Not like he was of any use really. It's not like he was a Keyblade wielder...so I suppose the Superior won't be angry. What's a few lost members compared to one lost Keyblade wielder?" Heading up the stairs, he noticed Axel carrying Xue and hesitated, Now that's something interesting. I wonder what's been going on while I've been gone. Following Axel, he tailed him all the way to Xue's room. It looked like...or rather unlike everyone elses rooms. Pictures covered the walls...they looked hand-drawn and pretty well done too. Weird...and here he thought Xue was another plain old Nobody...but it seemed like she knew something...something that made her different.



Gently setting down the delicate girl on her bed, he turned his gaze to the pictures on the walls. No one was allowed inside Xue's room, but she'd requested he take her. "What...are these?" He got no answer and turned back to the now sleeping creature of mystery. "You're an odd one..." He turned to leave and she snagged his coat, "Hm?" Her golden eyes slid shut again without a word and he pulled himself free, confused and paranoid. He could feel someone's gaze on him...but he saw no one. Was he just being overly self-conscious? Leaving, he shut the door tightly and headed for Xion's room.



Her blue eyes opened a fraction...slowly the white ceiling came into focus and she opened her eyes more. A black blob manifested in the corner of her eye as the rest of the room slowly took a solid shape and wasn't so fuzzy. Turning her head, half expecting to see a familiar face, she did in fact find familiarity in the face...but not the kind she hoped. Xemnas stood watching her. "Xemnas...?" He nodded once and she struggled to sit up, "Where...how long have I been asleep?" "It's been nearly two months since we were brought back to this universe. You've been asleep the entire time. This is our home...rebuilt once again. What do you remember Number XIV." Xion thought long and hard, sorting through her memories, Sora's memories and Roxas'. "Not a whole lot... I remember...meeting Roxas...and Axel. Everything else...is so fuzzy... What happened to me?" Xemnas didn't answer her and she half expected him not to. Whatever it was...she wasn't supposed to remember. His next words took her by surprise, "Tomorrow you resume your missions to collect Hearts. I have someone who will accompany you always on these missions. You will not be attending any missions with Roxas or Axel."


~Mysterious Tower~

With the King gone...Donald and Goofy were summoned by Yen Sid and given a new mission. But it seemed all the same to them. Retrieve Sora and defend the worlds from the Heartless and the approaching darkness again. Donald nodded and set his hands on his feathered hips, "Alright! We're on the job! Let's go Goofy!" Yen Sid cast them a fond look, "Do not forget, this darkness...it's presence is the same as of the Organization you met on your last journey. I fear they've been brought back somehow. Donald...Goofy...find Sora and Riku...guide them along their path and protect the worlds once more." Donald bowed respectfully and yanked Goofy into the Gummie Ship, speeding off towards Destiny Islands.

 

Friends?... that word sounds so familiar... Who are my firends?...

Her head turned when she heard the snap and the sound of doors closing. She watched as the dark night sky slowly said good bye until the white doors closed.

Reborn? A new name?
​

At the question he asked about her remebering her past, she shook her head.

my memoeries? will they really come back to me?
​

She looked down at the hand he extended for her to take. Her eyes studied it only for a second before placing her own hand in his. it was coarse and though the warmth didn't reach her empty body she could still feel hints of it.

A cost for this second life?... what can I feel?
​

The girl was silent for a few seconds, looking at their hands until she looked back to him.

"I can not feel anything." she said. "I know i am scared but my heart..." with her free hand she touched her heart. "it does not beat...Is this the cost for another life, losing my heart..."

That is something precious...​

She then looked back up to Xaldin.

"Does Xaldin have a heart?"

Then voices and others appeared. She turned to look at the female who called out hello and the male who had an eyepatch also greet them. She did not know what to do. Who were they. They all wore the same thing. Her hold on Xaldin's hand tightened.

 

Xaldin smile vanished, "No I dont have a heart either". He picked up the coat that Xigbar dropped. Just because they had no hearts didn't mean they should act like that. He felt her hand tighten on his and his smiled returned "Your safe with me. All of us expect two or three speical cases don't have hearts, thats why we came together to get back what we lost. There is a place called Kingdom Hearts a place that can give us back are hearts". He opened the door with a snap of his fingers once again to let in the new member. He then saw she was riding a fox-nobody "How peculiar" he said to the girl next to him.

 

She saw a Nobody with an eyepatch n smirked a little because he looked like a pirate, but he also looked really cool with that eyepatch and big scar. He soon disappeared inside the castle without inviting her in so she stayed steadfast.

The doors soon flew open and the girl peered inside, seeing a male Nobody and a smaller female Nobody holding hands, but it seemed the girl was holding him mostly. He gave the female on the Fleetfoot an odd look and the fox Nobody disappeared from underneath her. Startled, she stood clumsily trying to regain her balance.

As she stood there she got a vision of a deer and had a sudden impulse to draw one. Her right hand flinched in a drawing motion and she stared at the couple in the castle.

 

~The Castle that Never Was: Kitchen~

"Okay, now it's time fore the finishing touches and now we will be done" Raoxthu said to himself as he looked over what he had made in around a half an hour's time consisting of a large bowl full of piping hot spaghetti noodles, a large pepperoni pizza, tons of small cresent rolls, a large bowl containing an iceberg salad, and lastly a large bowl of cherry jello. "Hmm..something seems missing...WINE! It's not italian Cusine without wine! Now where can I find some at?" Raoxthu asked himself as he tapped his chin beffore Demyx entered the room sliding

"Yo, what do we have here" Demyx asked looking over the food before noticing the Jello, his hand immediatly started for the jello before Raoxthu smacked it andd said loudly "NO JELLO FOR YOU UNTIL DESSERT! Now kindly go into the dining room and wait like a good little boy."

Demyx made a slight wimper before he left the room and proceded to head to the dining hall hunched over and sulking before he sat down in a chair.

Raoxthu looked around for a moment before spotting a small silverish-blue intercom. Walking over to it he pressed the button and said calmly "Uh guys, I made food for everyone...I hope you like it"

 

Perhaps she'd been a little hasty in speaking. With the darkness that had surrounded her whilst Xaldin and Xemnas were speaking had come silence, and the feeling that even if she had spoken, no sound would have been heard. Her vision had come back, but she'd heard nothing from either Xemnas or Xaldin, though it was obvious that they were speaking. Her hearing had lagged a few seconds, so perhaps her speech had as well. At any rate, Xaldin had summarily ignored her, and she needed rest. Her bodily fatigue was not that bad, she was used to strenuous exercise. She had spent the last two years following people and she had remained unseen the entire time. That required strength, as much of her observation had taken place on the rooftops. No, it was her mental strength, and not her physical that required the rest. It was draining, the work that she'd done that day, and she'd spent the last few nights sitting on the edge of a precipice waiting for Zexion to show his face, which had not been conducive to restful sleep. Apart from which, her mind was so closely entwined with her staff and crossbow that when the connection had been broken she'd suffered quite a large degree of mental anguish and shock. She had to get some sleep.


Xollot left and went to the Grey Room. There were sofa's there, and she lay down on one. It was not ideal, but going to sleep here was a surefire way of making someone ask what she was doing, and then she could indicate that she had, as yet, not been assigned a room. She lay on her side on the sofa, her crossbow slung across her back, and her staff clasped securely in her hand. In a very short time she had fallen into a light sleep.

 

not even Xaldin has a heart...​

The brunette looked at the cloak in his hand and then back to him.

"Xaldin is my friend... I'm safe with him." She said softly, her accent showing. And a little twitch of the lip as she tried to smile though she couldn't feel that beat of joy in her heart...instead there was still that hollow emptiness...

Kingdom Hearts... I can get my heart. Xaldin can get his heart....​

She turned to look at the girl and then the fox like creature. She hid behind Xaldin not knowing what that was...

 

Xadlin looked towards the new girl and then to the girl who was holding his hand. He heard her whisper and it made him smile. "Well lets get going straight down this hallway" he said to the two girls. The fox vanished earlier but she was probably connected to it. He looked towards the girl next to him wondering what her name and powers would be. After walking down the hall way the group made it to the round room doors. He looked at both of them "Lord Xenmas is inside address him as lord or superior. He will give you both your new names. He then whispered into the scared girl's ear "don't be afraid, you have to show him your strong. I will be right out here waiting for you". He then let go off her hand and opened the door.

 

The female looked to Xaldin and then to the girl who had entered into the room.

where is the fox creature?​

she then turned her eyes to the man and followed him down the hall till the 3 made it to the doors.

the Superior is here... I will get my name... Maybe then i won't feel so lonely...​

It was hope she had, that maybe something will fill this empty void in her.

Then she felt the breath against her ear, followed by the whisper.

Her hazel eyes met his own dark ones and she nodded, another twitch of her lip as she tried to smile.

"I will be brave." She said and looked to the door to meet her Superior, to find out her name and the meaning of her second chance in this empty life.

 

The female ran after the two to catch up with them, running on her toes to reduce the sound made. The deer kept running through her mind.
Why am I imagining a deer? She thought to herself.
When she caught up she stood on the other side of the male, wondering what his intentions were. But she had no other choice but to follow him since he was the only friendly one she had encountered so far.
The round doors were strange to her. When the Fleetfoot was running on the buildings all the doors were rectangular. This castle was very strange to her, it was vacant and foreboding.
She nodded at the male's orders regarding the 'superior', and listened in to what he whispered to the other girl.
What kindness and chivalry.
The doors opened and she felt her head race with many thoughts. She stepped inside, scared but intrigued, and before the doors closed she looked back at the male and asked, "What is your name?"
