Well, you said you where trying out photography I mine as well help.

You should really get rid of the date, there should be an option for it on the camera. It's really ugly to have the date popping out like that. Also don't use flash, it is one of the single most horrable things a person can do when taking photographs as all the colours, light, and saturation gets messed up. There should also be an option for this, to turn it off or on. Okay moving on, when taking photographs of something, really take a good look at where you're taking it. Does it fit? Good photographers can make almost anything fit anywhere but for a begginer try not to put weird things in a background that just doesn't quite fit. You did good with this on the one with the blue dragon(?)

Okay let's see... when using natural light (the best kind) watch out for where the light is coming from, unless you want a silloette it's usually not so great to have light from behind. There are cases where it works, but mostly it's best to go with frontward lighting. This is because when looking at something lit from behind, it can be hard to look at completely and see all the details, it can also be kinda hard on the eyes.
