There Tropes not cliche, you fool. A cliche, is a saying, expression, or idea which has been overused to the point of losing its original meaning, rendering it a stereotype. A trope on the other hand is a "figure of speech." In storytelling, a trope is just that — a conceptual figure of speech, a storytelling shorthand for a concept that the audience will recognize and understand instantly. Those familiar with Stylistics might know of Roland Barthes 'Codes' - it's the same idea here (There's even a Rags To Riches 'Code'). According to the Codes theory, a Code/Trope is an attempt to "give meaning to what would otherwise be a series of happenings. They are... constructs and patterns of behaviour."

Trope and Cliche are one and the same, trope is something people use to seem smarter by saying a ton of terms nobody even knows.
Also, nice Wikipedia answer, you should read further down the page though.

    Erm

Cliches are ideas used to the point where everybody is ****ing annoyed by them and are not original at all.
For example, your definition of cliche - Does it describe the movie cliche of the evil villan explaining his plans to the hero?

*hits kika with a stick* They are not the same. Everything has tropes, no arguement. Above all, a trope is a convention. It can be a plot trick, a setup, a narrative structure, a character type, a linguistic idiom... It's like porn; you know it when you see it. When the trope itself becomes intrusive, distracting the viewer rather than serving as shorthand, it has become a cliche.

I see you're stubborn. Come back with an open mind and we can have this discussion again. Keep realations to porn out of it as well, the two are nothing a like, as if someone playing a game could just go listing off every 'trope' or cliche they see.

Kiryu, this is sad, I had a very important topic of discussion. Or I think it was, I forget.

Alright, either ever second day or at least two days to a week we should have a set time. Can we agree to that?

    I can do
the math, let's see if we can get something that will work for everyone or close to. What's the good and bad times for you people? I can replan if needed if any members add in data that's not compatable with alrerady set times.

    Okay guys, simple task here:

What days and times are good for you? What days and times are you unable to be at?
So nobody is 5 hours off, I also need timezones.
    Preferably like UTC +/- <insert number here>

    Here, this i
s messy but you can figure out your timezone with this.

everything left of the 0 is a negative number.
