Oh, now my dark passenger has nothing witty to say today....geez guy is totally useless.

I have only seen the first Narnia movie....and not by choice.

 

Well, it just two heads. T_T I'm still a failure.

I never seen either Narnia movie, so I probably won't see this one.

 

I can't really say I was to happy when they made it a movie (some of the effects where nice though) I liked the books despite how religious they where. Voyage of the Dawn Treader was my favorite though, it would be nice to see what they do with it, and nice to see that mouse again.

 

Well, the author was uber religious.

 

I never really enjoy movie adaptations of any other medium...they just never get me..maybe my standards are too high.

 

Movie < Book

 

Perphaps or that I don't really follow the whole suspension of disbelief like I'm suppose to, but hey oh well.

 

Way it's always been, moves on their own are alright but you can never compare them to a book, the movie will just never win.

 

Your imagination is not equal to another's. That is why it falls short of expectations.

 

Most likely due to the fact when you read a book you create the movie in your head the way the characters look like and how the setting would look like to you. So when a movie adaptation comes along it just doesn't make sense to you cause that isn't your vision of the book.

 

YeaI agree with both of you, those are a huge reason for it, plus it's cut down for time, and you just can't do some things in movies, and to much CGI looks, well, fake.

 

Nowadays, they try to do WAAAAAAY too much with computer graphics. LOL, what if it crashed 1/2 through production?

 

It is unfortunate that the movie industry falls back on CGI as a cruch for when they don't want to make the effort to make the movie better for the viewing masses. They just want it to be out quick get the opening weekend money fast before anyone realizes they have just been screwed big time...again.

 

Jurassic Park got it right, everything after they are just trying too hard.

That would never happen, and even if it did, there are back ups, and likely backups of the backups.


I fully agree Kir....probably why I tend to just be a pirate, very few movies seem good enough to see in theaters, if any at all.

 

But still, just the IDEA of it is fun to toy with.

 

I can't see it happening even if I try -__-

 

Also most movie studios out source somewhere else. So the chances of that happening are slim due to that if they screw up with the post production they don't get paid. It is all about the money value now.

 

Movies in these days are just sad, I'm sure we've hit this topic before though.
