Namine smiled nervously and looked up at him. "I don't know..." she said and looked down. "I guess I could try... but I won't do very well..." she said.

 

"Listen..don't be scared, the feets are small enough so if you think you're drowning, you can get back up again, and...I'm here. Just don't think about anything dangerous like that, or else you'll panic, " with that said, Axel lead her to be a bit farther from the edge by dragging her as she floated in the water, but it was small, and he stood there, making her stand up as well. "Now... kick your feet off the ground, and do the strokes and kicking like all I taught before, and swim that very short distant." He eyed her cautiously. "Can you do that?"

 

Namine nodded as she took a deep breath and kicked off of the bottom of the pool. She thought about Roxas as she tried not to panic when her face hit the icy water... She kicked her arms and legs with some force, making it so she was swimming. She swam the very short distance and stood up, gasping for air. "How was that, Axel-sensei?" she asked him, including the sensei part to make him happy.

OOC- wouldn't that be weird if Axel and Namine hooked up? O.O

 

OOC: Yeah xP. Crack pairing for the win! xDD Though she belongs to Roxas, seriously, who doesn't know that Sora and Kairi will get married?

Axel grinned, a bit glad himself at the success. "Absolutely wonderful, my fair lady. But for real, you really are as fast learner. See? It isn't that hard, you just have to focus." With that, he clapped his hands flamboyantly, before widening his arms exaggeratingly, becoming her to him jokingly, and he said in the Terminator voice. "Now you come to mah. Now. Swaim back. Okay? Let's make Roxas jalous."

 

OOC- seriously... lol. ^^ but really... I can't even picture Axel using a Terminator voice... O.O ROFLMAO!!

Namine swam back to him carefully, but started to lose focus halfway there. She started to sink but swam but up again and kept going.

 

OOC: Lmao xDD. I can, just because Quinton Flynn, Axel's voice actor, can pull it off.

Axel hugged her when she finally reached him, though it was more of a friendly embrace than anything, he had to remember Roxas might keyblade his butt. Breaking it off, he patted her head like a child, very proudly. "Nice job. I think we can go back more and make you swim a bit farther. And from there....we will be done. I'll explain after you do that next part, to see if you can make it." And a mentioned, he backed a few more feet away, but made sure there wasn't such a huge difference. "Now...I need you to do it again, come back to me, and we're ready."

Namine nodded and tried to swim again, doing okay, but once she got farther out she didn't do as well as last time. She reached the other side and then tried to swim back, tipping her head to the side to breath.

 

"We won't finish until you manage to do that perfectly, Naminé, I'll tell you that," Axel told her sternly, playing the strict steacher now, though not on purpose. Since the pool wa soutisde,it was dakr now, the moonlight glinting in the water, and he didn't know how long had they spent here, but it was enough to make him feel a bit tired. "If you're about to fall, do the dog paddle a bit, and get back on track, that'll help."

 

Namine flipped her hair back and smoothed it out with her hands as it shined in the moonlight. "Alright..." she said. "I'm trying my hardest... but this is really hard stuff..."

 

"I understand," Axel nodded, he'll give her the time she needed to complete the task, and from there, they could do what they both wanted. Of course, he had to give her instructions about what to do every time she'll be in water. "Just try your best, and let's see how it goes. You're doing fine already, and I think you'll be a swimmer by a short time."

 

Namine smiled and nodded as she got back in the water and tried again. She did a bit better this time...

 

Axel watched again as she redid, and it seemed only one more would do the trick, as she was getting the hang of it ever so slowly. He moved around in the water, feeling his fingers prune, and he inwardly wince. He had forogtten that he had his black short-sleeved shirt on as well, unbuttoned, but the bottom part of it was now wet. Oh, well.

"Try it once more, and I think we can leave it of there."

 

Namine nodded and tried again unable to believe that she was doing so well.

 

When she had trie dit again, Axel gave a nod, satisfied, noting that she didn't mess up at all. When she swam back to him, he gave her pat her shoulder, to say she did a great job. "I think you deserve a break now, you got down the basics, and all that's left is for you to keep swimming until you're able to fully do it without problems, and I mean, by distances. That's going to be your homework, to keep doing the same thing you learned today whenever you're near water. If you want to keep safe, I could join you and keep a eye out, but from there, is all your own. And you mightt even learn a few tricks yourself, swimming underwater, is easier by the way, breast stroke, back stroke, when you're more confident. And who knows, you might get the courage to go in the deep end once you think you're ready....but my job is done." He eyed her sharply. "Got it memorized?"

 

"Yeah..." she said and smiled. "Thank you..." she said and gently embraced Axel in a hug.

 

Axel returned the affection, trying hard not to chuckle at her cuteness, Roxas was lucky. "Your welcome, anytime. I was offering for a reason. Guess you don't hate me now, huh?" Pulling back, he held her shoulders, before letting one go, and began to walk back to the shallow end to get out. "Man, that was a lesson, now let's head out, you must be tired. By the way, do you still feel weird with that bathing suit?"

 

Namine smiled as they walked out of the pool. "A little..." she said. "But I've gotten over it... for the most part..."

OOC- sorry for the short posts... can't think straight at 2 am. ^^

 

"That's good, you shouldn't be so shy. You look too innocent, though it wouln't be good to taint you either," Axel replied, going up the metal stairs to get out of the pool, and shivering a little at the sudden cold from the breeze, now that his trunks were damp, and his skin was wet. "Geez, I wonder what time is it now, the sun set just a few minutes ago..."

 

Namine shivered as she felt the breeze and went to her room to change.

 

She brought a towel when Axel wasn't looking.
