Axel chuckled, letting go of her shoulder as it went to scratch the back of his head. "I rather not say...though, honestly, I don't really know myself...maybe I'm not really afraid of anything." He really couldn't fanthom what he could fear, truthfully. Axel then looked at her staright in the eye, suggesting his offer again. "Are you sure you don't want to learn, we can start in the kiddie pool when it's empty. I have my ways to get in when it is closed."

 

.....no.....I'm content with the way I am......I was sort of overexaggerating about calming my breathing after a shower.....I'm not afraid of water to that extent.....but seriously.....there has to be something you're afraid of......

 

"Is not the way you are, is just to teach you so when you got out into he pool, beach, or lake, you'll be able to swim with others. But I guess you don't to....but if you, the offer still stands," Axel assured, gazing at her with true sincerity, and slightly frowned at her need to know his fear. He really couldn't think of anything...nothing ever scared him in his Somebody life...and neither in this life.

Thinking it over more, he came to a little conclusion, it was the only things that stood out. "I guess....I'm afraid of losing people important to me...forever, turned into a Dusk too, death scares me a bit...or at least, the way I will die...so, I guess is death, in any way close to me."

 

......well....that's reasonable......but....I assure you.....I will try not to die on you.....

She smiled at him.

Axel smiled back, and just closed his eyes, feeling odd that he figured that out after contemplating it over promptly. He never truly thought about it much though, that was for sure, and it didn't bother him, but it made sense.

"Hopefully, yeah...I won't lose anyone..."

"By simply learning, like others. I'm not afraid of water, in fact, I've always been kind of reckless. I remember distantly how when I was little, as my Somebody, of course, that I didn't know how to swim yet, and there were big, I mean big waves that were rough and other kids were kept close to the shore because of that. I didn't stay, I wasn't really scared either, or was even thinking, and I went out into the deep part with other adults, where I almost drowned. I was holding into some random guy who was looking at me like 'WTF'. It was scary then, cause I couldn't keep up with the waves and I was swallowing water and going down. When my mom was screaming, the guy just held me up by the arm and pulled me back to shore," Axel finished, a smirk on his face as the memory replayed in his mind. "And even after that, I still went to the water and nearly tried it again, but I was ordered not to go deep. Heh. Never really scarred for me not to go back into water though...."

She remembered instantly when she herself nearly drowned.

Axel rolled his eyes, though gave her a look of understanding. "Careful is boring. Danger calls to me, like I would love, if I had a heart, to go skydiving or bungee jumping. I never did that. And besides, haven't you ever heard about facing your fears? I'm scared of death and losing people, but it doesn't mean I'm idealistic enough to believe those won't happen to me, and I actually expect it one day, it just doesn't bother me."

 

......true....but.....whoever said I wasn't daring and careful?.......most of the time anyway.....

 

Phisoxa drives slowly along the coastline .

 

"I've never seen you daring....actually, yeah, when you jumped out of the ship like how many times to save jacka**es who want to kill themselves and...the whole fire burning palm trees..." At this, he looked at her wryly, almost a bit bitter, narrowing his eyes. "Which I supposely forced you into."

.....actually....the whole jumping into the water thing......I think that was because I was having a boredom hangover and couldn't really think striaght.....and......about that.......i guess I was bored to......*sigh*......i'll go tell Namine........and Lexaeus......

 

Namine stood up and walked along the beach as she continued to dry off, but the sun was starting to set, so she didn't have much luck...

 

Axel shook his head, turning it away from Xangel and looking at the sun almost setting over the horizon, glittering the sea and water. Some people had already left for the ship as it was getting late, but Axel would not get up until the twilight was fully gone. "No, you don't have to. Not like it matters anymore anyway. I don't see Lexaeus, and Naminé is probably is still drying her clothes. Hahahah! That was fun." At this, Axel placed his hands a bit behind him into the sand, supporting his upper part in them as he kind of laid down. "But seriously....you should learn to swim. What if you're in a situation where you have no choice but to escape by knowing the technique and nobody is around to help you? You have to make it on your own then..."

 

Namine continued to walk around the beach. She shivered as a wind blew by, making her wet clothes cold. The sun was setting, but she didn't want to go back to the ship until she had dried off...

 

Saix sat on top of the ship looking out to sea. Then he got out the beer can he stole earlier and drank it.

 

Namine continued to walk down the beach, her damp clothes sticking to her skin. She shivered again as the wind came, but at least she was drying.
