Traditional Art Open Your Eyes

Okay so before you look at this I should warn you that it's sort of graphic (lol pun).

Anyway, I drew this in pen.

My scanner is up to some serious mischief at the moment. I just decided to take a picture of this one with a camera because, well, I am getting some pictures on this account.

So, you know that neat little tool that you use to draw in Paint called Pen?

THAT IS REALLY HARD IN REAL LIFE YOU CAN'T ERASE OR ANYTHING HOLY HELL

Seriously, I'm kind of iffy on this one. Of course this picture isn't spot on to the actual thing (it's pretty close), but something just seems off to me. I might go back and put some more intricate designs on this(open to suggestions), but as it stands I really didn't want to risk messing it up since it's all in pen.

I usually hate pens because they can't be erased but it you do it right the effect can be really nice and worth the extra worry and effort. That said, what you've got here is nice enough but it seems like it might be missing something. Also, I'm no huge fan of this style even though I can find it in myself to appreciate it.

 

If by "this style" you mean "violent" then I don't draw this style a lot, this just happened. And even when this happens it usually symbolizes something (or I can change it to do so somehow - see above).

 

i love it, even how you wrote open your eyes looks like cutting into the paper, i dont completely get it, but i still think its cool

 

By style I mean very clearly
defined lines mostly in simple shapes with a generally blocky structure. I should have been more specific since style is a very loose word.

 

Yeah, I wasn't a big fan of it either until I saw a few pictures that absolutely nailed it. I tryed it out and It came out... adequate.
