Chain of Memories Oogie Boogey!

I have KH: CoM on Game Boy Advance, and I've done the floors in this order:
1st: Twilight Town (obviously :S)
2nd: Monstro
3rd: Agrabah
4th: Olympus Coliseum
5th: Wonderland
6th: Halloween Town

I'm up to the Oogie Boogey fight, and have NO idea how to hit him, let alone hurt him. So far all the damage I can do is with a Simba Summon, and that does nearly nothing.
His pattern of attack seems to be:
Laugh (no damage)
Spinning Saw Blade (reasonable damage)
Procession of Daggers (low damage, but hard to dodge)
either
Spinning Saw Blade
or
Summon Heartless (damage dependant on which Heartless are summoned.)

You can't actually reach him, either. Please help!

 

You're supposed to Card Break him 3 times, that'll make the bars completely decend and you'll be free to jump onto where Oogie Boogie is to smack him a little.

 

Oh OK thanks. Although, I'm not sure if I have the right cards... Mainly Pumpkinheats, with highest number being 7, and a couple of Kingdom Keys for a 9 and 8. I try to avoid using healing cards, but I do have 2 Cures (4 and 7). Jafar, Genie (6), Simba (6) and Cloud (4) are my summons, and 1 potion (6). Is this OK?

You have absolutely no zero's? That's bad.... Oh well, I think you can pull it off, you've gotten that far at least.

 

Oh lol sorry I have two 0s. They have a weird tendancy of accidentally winding up in my summon combo, when I don't realise I only have 2 in there. Whoops...

 

Anyway, always level up. >_> You can't get anywhere without leveling up.

 

Umm....if you have only ONE 7 valued card, you have to stock up some cards to break him. After he throws his dice, break him quickly and then attack the dice. A green mickey card should come out. Use it and the gates will lower. Jump on to him and just kill him. Repeat the whole process.

 

What do you mean obviously?

If you can not beat a boss, there is always leveling up.

Also, Zero cards are not really needed, I never used one until Riku Replica Four and I got along just fine.

 

All his attacks are valued at seven, so take out anything under that value. You can get away with having only a few sevens/0s by just Reloading a lot though. Oh, and I think the attack where he apparently does no damage is the one where he heals.

 

He must mean Traverse, not Twilight

 

card break oogie boogie three times, the gates will come down, and you can jump up and hit him...its simple, dont rely on other people just because you couldnt do it at first (even though I did XD)

It is not rare to mistake those two towns, I even mistake them sometimes.

 

I had tried it about 4 times, I just couldn't see an opening. I card breaked him like, once, but didn't notice the bars decending.

how to defeat oogie boogie!

if you card break him 3 times, the gate breaks.he mostly uses the 7 card, so quickly use combos if you can. you go up and attack!after a little while of getting hit, he kicks you off. then you start over. but attack in combos, because after a while, you lose your cards. it's more of a patient game. when you get down to 3 cards, use them in a combo! or you'll lose 1 or 2 of them and you'll be screwed. i just beat him this morning and i'm editing my advice. good luck!:) :D and have fun! it's a little more complicated than these other people are saying, but if you've played kingdom hearts at all, you know it pretty well,like me. i'm used to these complications but know how tough it can be on others.;) :D

 

Complicated? What? CardBreak three times, use Fire Raid, rinse and repeat. Use cards at 7 value or over to CardBreak. Break dice for the Trinity card.
