Stephen shrugged Jamei off. "I'm fine."

 

Jamei sighed exaperatedly "It's no wonder you're dead on your feet, you never stop. Would it kill you to rest for five mintues?"

 

"Yes it probably would." He replies truthfully.

 

Jamei shook her head "You're gonna kill yourself if you don't rest up occasionaly. And I think being possed by a demon is one of the times you should. I mean, it might be strong enough to take over again when you're tired..." she said worriedly.

 

"Why do you even care?"

"That's right. Get angry."

 

"I'm just trying to help... You don't have to bite my head off..." Jamei said sadly, she hadn't expected that sort of response.

 

"Just shut up!"

 

"Fine then! I will!" Jamei cried folding her arms around her legs and resting her forehead on her knees.

"She's just trying to help you know." Dein added carfully.

 

"Jamei, I wasn't talking to you."

"Do I smell sorrow?"

 

"Well it sure sounded like you were to me..." she muttered not looking up.

 

Stephen sits down next to her. "I was talking to him."

 

Jamei didn't say anything, look up or move at all. She just stayed staring at nothing.

 

"What's wrong? You can tell me."

"Nothing..." Jamei muttered almost silently.

Stephen put his arm around her gently.

 

Jamei moodily tried to shrug him off still not looking up.

 

"Do you have a barrier up? Just let it down for a second."

"No!" Jamei snapped looking up "Just because I don't want you on me dosn't mean I have a problem with everyone!"

Stephen took his arm away. "I have been through enough to know there is somethng wrong. Please, I am trying to help."

"There is nothing wrong with me." Jamei said quieting down. "And why would I tell you? You'd just take the p*ss outta me if there was a problem."
