Submitted my online application to Subway.

Now I just need to submit the following:
    • Circle K (Online)
    • Carl's Jr. (Written)
    • 7-Eleven (Written)
    • Happy's Market (Written)

I'll do Circle K later today and then the other three tomorrow.

KHV really just needs a dedicated blog section.

Anyway, good luck, though I hope you don't need it.

When I was applying during the time I first moved, I was applying to maybe 3 or 4 places a day that I could think of, but i had of large list of places that I tried. I also have an interview at Cinemark 19 on Wednesday, and I haven't had much luck with other places; although walgreens in still in the air. Though I'm trying to keep away from food, but I'm also starting to get desperate enough to apply there. I just spent enough time in food for 40+ hours a week for a year back in California, and that was way too much for me

It always amazes me when I hear people are having trouble getting a job. I know, economy and all that, but I never had trouble. My first job, my mom simply asked a friend to hook me up. My second job, I needed one and I applied to one place. I called the next week and got an interview (though I should thank a friend for putting a good word in for me). My upcoming job and its soon promotion was offered by an old boss. Taking a class on building a resume and getting through job interviews was a waste of my time. By the time I'll need it, I won't remember it.

It's a very geographic thing, where I live, British Columbia, unemployment is around 10%, but go a bit East to Alberta and suddenly you can't throw a rock without getting a job that pays 20 bucks an hour. I don't know you well enough to say, but there's always the chance your're just unnaturally employable or something, too :P
(though having people put a word in for you helps a HUGE deal)

You're Canadian? Your opinion doesn't count anymore. I've just gotten lucky with mine. Neither of my first two jobs wanted to hire me but a) didn't want to say no to my mom, b) was required to give me an interview after I called back. It wasn't until I was at both places for a while that they fell in love with my work ethic. Hell, my new job that is paying 75% more than what I'm making now by the end of the year, I got offered because the owner is my old boss and wanted me to go with him, no experience whatsoever. I can't really help anyone out with advice since all my jobs have fallen in my lap, but I know what I look for in potential hires (which I haven't done yet, but I've been told I have an eye for interviews).

Better hurry and go to Alberta then. MY sister's husband made around 10,000 dollars in a month working on the oil rigs
Housign prices are skyrocketing because everybody is moving there to get tonnes of money. Even jobs that usually pay minimum wage pay better in Alberta because everyone is so rich
