Old People Shouldn't Be Driving

Nearly got T-boned at a four-way intersection because this stupid old man was just following the semi in front of him and blowing the stop sign. Only reason he stopped was because I was there and he came inches from hitting me.

EDIT - 12:47 PM PT: There are good old drivers out there, but the majority of old people really shouldn't be driving.

We're around the same age, so that's not possible.

But it's true. Most old people don't have as good a sense for things than younger people.

That's called ageism and it's just as bad as racism. My 85 year old grandmother drives just fine, as do most of her 90+ friends.

For the record, I didn't title this "All Old People Shouldn't Be Driving" specifically for that reason. Some are good.

Yes, but in the post I quoted, you basically said "Young people are better than old people," which simply isn't true all the time.

That's still ageist. Just say that bad drivers shouldn't be driving. To be honest, the majority of people, young and old alike, shouldn't be driving.

 

I see so much of this at Target, I'm surprised they have their license. You have no idea how fast they turn without any indication and nearly hit something
