What were your favorite shows while you were growing up as kids? I had a lot, including things like Medabots, Yugioh, Pokemon, Digimon, and almost everything on KidsWB and other stuff

My favorites were all the classic nickelodeon shows like rugrats, catdog, old spongebob, Doug etc. I also loved all the cartoons showed on Foxbox like the original Pokemon, and Yu-gi-oh of course. Oh and Toonami  I used to watch that religiously every week as a kid. DBZ, yu yu hakusho, and Gundam were my favorites.

Yuyu hakusho, Shinzo, shows like that are all but forgotten now. I mean, They were great compared to today. I can't think of that many shows today that even look as good as those back when I was only 7 or 8. I miss those days. Thank goodness for the internet that we can watch them

Yepp Yu yu hakusho had great animation quality for its time. Most anime shows back in the early 2000's weren't half as good as Hakusho was.

Oh man, there was tons of stuff. The ones everyone has heard of like Pokemon, Digimon and Yu-Gi-Oh, but I also loved all the silly shows they had on CITV and the CBBC channel. I loved things like Jungle Run, Art Attack, Bamzooki...and also Mona the Vampire, Arthur, Hey Arnold!, Recess, Kim Possible, Kerching...

But, there was one show that topped them all.

    RAVEN.

I'll never forget how much my tiny mind was blown when someone actually suceeded in completeing Way of the Warrior- the most insane obstacle course known to mankind.

I remember watching some of those shows, including Recess and Kim Possible. Although for some reason my parents didn't like it, so I always watched it without them knowing. Heck, my mom even though Pokemon was violent because she didn't like how some of the characters were disrespectful. But me and my brother watched it and she eventually gave in.

Steamboat Willie was my favorite. Back when cartoons had soul. I didn't watch any other cartoons beside it.

Yu-Gi-Oh in general, the first few seasons of Pokemon, That's So Raven, Recess, Kim Possible, Power Rangers, Xiaolin Showdown (Gawd I loved Xiaolin Showdown...), Original Digimon, Rugrats, the ORIGINAL season of Bakugan Battle Brawlers, and the best of them all...

    BDaman!

I remember buying my first and only Battle B-Daman and coming home to assemble it right away. I didn't eat or do anything. I just stared in awe at this Japanese toy.
Also, this probably led to the Bakugan era. I still own some Bakugan and I love reminiscing every once and a while...

Yeah same here. My parents hated the idea of Pokemon at first. They wouldn't even let me have the cards let alone watch the show. They thought it would poison my mind somehow. The same went for the Harry Potter series. They thought it would make me beleive that whichcraft was real or something rediculous like that, so they didn't let me read the series or watch the movies until I was 10 :P

actually, I vaguely remember B-Daman. I saw it on a show list on a website and now I want to watch it again. I'm basically rewatching every single one of my favorite childhood shows. Well, anime at least

ouch, even I didn't have it that bad. My brother and I collected the cards. I had a ton of them, but my biggest mistake was letting my sister use them. She wanted to try it(note to everyone: don't let either your older or younger sister use pokemon cards unless they know pokemon) and she ended up losing like 500 of my cards. Just on the side note, I say my brother and I a lot because when we were younger we used to do a lot of things a lot.

Yeah. I used to love the badly dubbed anime on Cartoon Network or Jetix. X)

Anyway, almost forgot the original Beyblade!

Anyone wanna help me list the many trends that spawned from an Anime that you wasted so much of your/your parent's money on?

B-Daman, Bakugan, Beyblade, Yu-Gi-Oh cards, Pokemon cards, Naruto cards...
    This list goes on...

Bakugan didn't come out for me till I was a teenager, so it doesn't count for me, but I remember beyblade. I loved that show, but than they had to keep continuing it. Now it's not even what it used to be

I must've spent a good $500+ of my parents money on Pokemon and Yu-gi-oh cards when I was a kid. I still have almost all of them too lol they're in a giant bin in my attic somewhere XD

I knew someone whose christian parents absolutely forbade them to read or watch Harry Potter at all, along with most kids shows because they thought it would 'corrupt' them, but happily let them watch Star Wars, despite it actually containing its own religion of sorts as a focal plot point...

I used to have a ton of yugioh cards, but my mom started a fire by leaving bacon on the stove while no one was home. I told her to leave someone home, but she wouldn't listen. So many burned I had like a 1/4 elft over. But I looked forward to yugioh every satureday morning

I thought there were some underlying Christian themes in Star Wars. I can't remember specifically what they were.... but I heard it from somewhere.

I just have to ask. Did anyone watch Cardcaptors when they were younger? I loved that show. It was a great magic show and funny to boot. I would laugh my head off at times
