Anyone got any tips for defeating Xigbar?

 

counter his shots when he snipes at you with reaction,
reflect and once more are good,
if you use forms much be careful, cause on org fights there are higher chances for you to get anti form,
run around a litte and don't ever stand still

My advice is to just keep slamming the buttons non stop, especially when he surrounds you just hit X repeatedly.

Xigbar I found particularly easy.

Ha my advice sucks :P

 

Let's relax and get to know our enemy. Xigbar: number 2 in Organization XII. Element: Space Prefered weapon: guns. He ALWAYS starts the battle by warping away and sniping you from afar. Keep your finger near the triangle button.

His most common form of attack is placing his hands in interdemnsional space and shooting at you. You have a few choices of defense here. One is using guard. Another is by using the Reflect spell. The third and what I used the most, is running at him. This tactic leaves you open and a few shots might hit you.

Xigbar also likes to warp the platform you are standing on. Watch the platform and when it changes to a small square, be on guard. In this place, Xigbar uses his kamakazie attack and the only things you can do are to use reflect or run around the platform. Near the end of his attack, Xigbar will constantly move around shooting at you. If you get trapped in a corner, you are basically screwed. Try running clockwise or counter-clockwise to avoid the shots.

After you get him down to about half health (I am guessing), Xigbar will add a new attack to his arsenal. He will stand still and charge a big blueish green laser. This leaves him open for attack but if you hit the laser, you will take damage. When he fires the laser, it will bounce around the screen. You can use the reation command "Warp Snipe" to hit the laser back at Xigbar.

Now when you hear Xigbar yell "Armed and Reload" he will not shoot for about 2 to 5 seconds. Now is your best time to attack.

Take your time and eventually this Organization XIII member will fall to the Keyblade

Make sure you have alot of hi-potions

 

Hes the 2nd hardest to me -.-

Anyways at the beginning and later in when the riffle comes in jam triangle over and over again.

Now when he comes down he'll use 6 colonies of re dlasers at you, use your drive guadge and get wisdom out. If you turn into a black hearless or somethign like that be thankful!, now you do crazy combos and knock him in the air do he cant teleport, once he does keep dodging the blue missle by just keep running to him. Becuase of your speed oyu wont get hit, though watch out for the red lazers. once the driveguage is repelished, just keep using ariel dodge lv1 or 2 to get to him ( train master form ). Once you get him into his final form, he'll glow blue. Dont attack him he is glowing it wont work! , just keep running aroudn the square , and dont stop or else you'll get blasted and lsoe much of your health. Now this is gonna be tough, but just use ariel dodge to get near him and take him out :P I hope this helps and also if you have low Hp dont hesitate to use Cure, or a few hi potions . Goodluck!

 

Equip Hero Crest(Air combo boost ability),some Ethers and at least 1 air combo plus(If you have Final Form,equip Star Seeker on it).

When he begins to shot at you,keep running until he stops,and when he does,attack with a full combo(Final Form really does a high amount of damage).
Keep doing it until he start to use some blue lasers,when he try to use one,jump on his face and cast reflect,the laser will disappear and he will be damaged.
Repeat everything until he says "Okay,now we're talking!",when he say that,he will begin to use his DM.
To avoid it is pretty simple,first,keep jumping and quick running like crazy until he teleports to the middle of the screen.
After he teleport,keep running around the floor,but stay away of him.
After he ends his DM,he will begin to use all attacks he can,and he will become faster,and he won't stop very often.
So use Comet with Donald,and try attack at the same time Donald is using his magic.
If he's not dead after it,use some Ethers and start again.

 

Xigbar was kinda hard on Proud Mode, but he has a secret to beating him. Trinity all the time does not work, he just teleports away. I suggest Knocksmash with Goofy. As for his DM attack, just use reflect. If you run out of magic or you arwe already out, just jump for the first part of it then run in circles for the second part. Hope that helps!

 

Not sure if it's too late but...


Make sure you have reflect and that reflect attack on the controls. Like press the square button, and your keyblade will be brought up, reflecting the attack.

Although I would have my pockets full with two ethers and the rest hi-potion. Sometimes thing's get complicated. When there's the part where Xigbar does his big move, when he starts shooting those lights around you. Run around in a big circle. When he get's in the middle, releasing out a huge attack. With all his snipers surrounding you, I suggest you run in small circle around, go around. Itll chase you but won't touch you. That is if you're quick enough.

That's all of my information, the rest is easy, it's like repeating most of the time. Make sure you have the strongest keyblade in hand, it'd be easier to handle Xigbar.

 

Well if you don't wanna spam reflect, use guard a lot and keep your finger on the lock-on button. That's about all I can help you with sorry.

 

Play through the battle a few times, and don't try hard to win. Just try to memorize his attack patterns, and eventually he will be easy.

 

guard all the way. Must have. Otherwise, use final when the platform changes, and glide all the way. This might work, seeing as the same trick is used against Terra.
