    The cloaks makes the lesser nobodies think that the wearer is a member of org xiii

    it could be suggested that the cloaks give the ability to use the corridor of darkness

    but i highly doubt that

    riku is half dark!!

    riku still had xehanorts heartless appearance giving him control of the darkness

    I was told by a friend that the cloak was to cover up the 'smell of darkness' or something and i thought it made perfect sense because why else would riku be wearing it?

    but thats just me.
