OK! who here hates crappy anime dubbing?!?

omg lets get started........

in NA anime is being tortured
and the worst company alive to ever have anime in their hands is

4 KIDS!

and then there r also other companies out there that trash anime like crazy!

i never heard dubbed animes,i watch mine in japanese...do the dubbings really suck?.

 

Stick with the Japanese its much better.

 

Some of the dubbing is not that bad but some are just terrible. Especially the scripts and openings.

 

SOmetimes, I just want to kill the companies. And I agree. 4 Kids sucks. I wish they would be wiped form the face of this earth.​

 

I haven't really heard a lot of the 4kids dubbing, aside from One Piece and some others. I do agree, some anime dubbing is bad. I like FUNimation though, they do a pretty good job at dubbing animes.

Won't be happening, dude. I dont like how 4Kids dubbed the scripts. They called riceballs 'donuts'.

 

Well some is good dubbeb and some is extremely bad.
I hate looking forward to an anime and then suddely I *arrrhhg* so baad dubbed .

But I mostly just watch with jap episodes with english subs ^^

 

I think the big question is who DOESN'T hate crappy anime dubbing?
I always prefer wathching things the way they were originally made, meaning anime should be in japanese, Disney Movies in english etc.
I've never understood why a bunch of animes have these crappy openings in english. Why switch out an awesome song such as Chala Head Chala with a sucky dub? Or change "Butterfly" and "Target akai shougeki" with a song that only repeats "Digimon, Digital montsters, Digimon are the champions" all the time???
Now adays whenever I see a show that actually uses the original opening (even if it is dubbed) I get really happy:) Currently I've seen this in Dragonball (the original series, not DBZ or GT) DN-Angel (well the opening is all I've ever seen of that dub) FMA and apparently the newer episodes of Naruto, though I haven't seen them. I don't really like the Naruto dub, the names just sound too weird. (I should be getting used to it, I have a rabbit named Sasuke and no one can pronounce his name properly)

 

Most of the Anime's dubbed really, really, SUCKED!!! I hated the VOs, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I nearly killed myself because of this

 

I love crappy anime dubbing! =D It's so funny seeing how the words dont match how thier mouths are moving! XD

OMG!! DON'T get me started on this!! Some dubbed Animes have the script messed up. What's worse then that is when they don't mouth it on time. The worst thing in my eyes though,is when they get REALLY bad actors/actresses that don't even SOUND like they did in Japanese. There are some really good dubs,like FMA and RK,but things on channels like 4 Kids,and Anime's like Pokemon,they just suck to put it bluntly...

 

Never seen Sailor Moon before but that one was a perfect example of all the silly editing done, then again if you try comparing a 4Kids dub I think you'll see a lot of other weird stuff too... I once saw a scene from One Piece (don't really watch that, my brother does) where they had replaced a gun with some kind of hammer on a spring...and in Yu-Gi-Oh 4Kids seem to think pointing at people with nothing but your finger is treatening enough...
I once saw such a clip from DBZ where silly editing was taken up... in one scene Funimation had taken away an apple tree.... cause we all know apple trees are too scary for little kids to watch right?
Also there is one scene in the original Dragonball were Goku is actually naked, okay, I can understand why they edited that...but what they did was draw a flower over his genitalia that looked like it had been drawn by a kid... what's up with that?

The Digimon Movie has been altered from a somewhat good movie to one big joke. Even worse is the norwegian dub (based on the american editing) where you can't even hear what the characters are saying... The dumbest of all is that the text on the back of the video tells about the choosen children being kidnapped...except that never happened...it had been deleted. Why? I don't know....

Omg........ I hate English dubs!!
And I didn't even know, English Sailor Moon is even worse than Mew Mew Power! (<-- English Tokyo Mew Mew) I mean, is it that hard to use the same lines (translated obviously :P) and act like you mean what you're saying?
XD English dubs are the worst form or anime.

 

Then you haven't seen the norwegian dub of Digimon the Movie. Surely all the editing and whatnot are from the english dub, but the voiceacting is awful!

 

Pokemon is the worst of all! At least Sailor Moon has SOME imagination!
