Ok, I'm pissed again...

Please stop complaining about the admin. They do a very difficult and seemingly thankless job, keeping this site a fun and pleasant place to be. A lot of people (like me) come here because they do such a good job and I feel that they make sure that everyone has the best possible experience here. A lot of us enjoy coming here and would like to applaud the hard work that the admin do. The fact that they also take part and post shows how much they put into the site, as the background work must take up so much of their time.

Please let them do what they do best and support them.

Clearly you saw the irony in that, but missed the point of it. I'm trying have some humor in this conversation to keep it peaceful. In all honesty, I've rather be the person who *****es than the one who has to listen to it. I admit, I came to this thread alittle angry, but now I'm just trying to get things accomplished. Sara and *Sora* have helped quite a bit with that, and I'm glad. And, most of the users, disregarding the last two, said they agree with me, clearly a good majority aren't happy with the forum, but just don't want to complain. They need people like me to voice my opinion so they can say they that they support what I said...

Thank you Burger King, I don't mind if users post there opinions on if they agree with me or not, but you know, maknig long posts about how hard the admins works is a waste of words IMO. I admit, they work hard, but everyone needs flaws pointed. It's like when I make an AMV, if someone gives me advice on what I'm doing wrong, I don't snap at them, I consider what they said.

And Cin, I love how you act like I'm clueless when it comes to running a forum, modding it, or just not knowing what happens behind the scenes. First off, if your mad about me not knowinmg about Boris, I know the whole story sadly... Second off, I know how hard it is to run a forum, I was a mod on IGN before I got tired of the site and just hacked the members I hated and got them banned. I'm not proud of that, but I'm glad I've been forgiven and given another chance as a user there. Running a forum, I know how hard it is. I help run NGS and TOORC(you probably haven't heard of either, I wouldn't be surprised). NGS, I get the experiance of keeping thousnads of users happy, and at TOORC, I have to deal with the pain of climbing the ladder, it's hard and we've given many lowblows, and we're not much farther... So yeha, I know what it's all about, I'm no where near clueless. Keep that in mind...

Staff- Your getting angry at me for no reason, if you've read the recent posts here, I'm trying to keep this peaceful and flame free. I admit, I came off the wrong way, but for the last few pages it's been a calm conversation IMO...

Pfft...you really think every forum is the same Shadowjak? Sure, you have experience, but you still have no idea what it's like behind the scenes of THIS website. Sara runs things more differently then anyone I've ever seen, wether that's good or bad, I can't really say, but I do know that anyone who joiins the staff is quite surprised as to how the forum is really run.

Well, I know the how the 'system' you guys use to mod people works, and the same for rule making, some of this forum's dirty little secrets, like boris >.>, and I know one admin has no control anymore... Besides that, it's pretty general to other sites is it not??

 

All sites have the same prinicles on powers and control, but each does differ with every person in charge. Honestly, i'm impressed in the way the site is run, you go to alot of forums and there is flaming and spam pretty much all the time there. But here it's a rare and doesn't happen very often, and I say its partly down to the way the site is run. the Staff members are generally open and friendly, when compared to lets say the mods at Gamespot who are either for the most part corrupt or ***holes.

As for the Red mods, they are sectional Mods, so therefore they can only mod things that happen in 2-3 sections, so like for Roxas he mods over the Creativity Corner and Intel, and in both threads there aren't that many things to lock, delete or move in those sections for the most part, so it seems like they don't do much.

 

I agree with Darkandroid. I've been on alot of forums, and so far, this forum has been the best.

I've come across heaps of people who are actually polite. AND, the members who have heaps of posts aren't total ***holes who think it's funny to insult people for no good reason and bump topics.

(I'm talking about Galbadia Hotel. Mods hardly ever do anything over there)

Anyhoo, I reckon the mods/admins are doing a pretty good job around here.

 

You know DA, that has everything to do with the users, and absolutley nothing to do with the staff...

 

But it isn't part of a Mods/Admin's job to maintain the peace and douse the flames?

 

In one aspect, but like DarknessKingdom said, it's also the way it is managed, really if it wasn't for the enforcing. Yes it is also has alot to do with the members, but alot of members looks up to the staff and base their attitude to what the staff members are like.

 

I don't know about the others, but I don't flame and spam not out of respect, but out of the fear of being banned. Not too mention, I'm a decent human being and I know it's wrong. I never look up to the admins or mods at any site really... Hell, at places like IGN and Gamefaqs I usually hate them... I respect the staff here, but I would never look up to them because I don't like the way they do there job...
