Plot's gotten pretty ridic, but I'll give the studio +10 for the music and the animation.

The Ultimate Ninja Storm games are pretty cool too.

 

Kind of unrelated but I've been thinking about doing voices for Hidan and Kakuzu in their last big fight scene

You must've missed the Pain fight.

 

I followed it until the end of the Pain arc.
That fight was amazing, however, the plot NOW has become so ridiculous. I've basically given up on it altogether.

Ah, I thought you were referring to the story arc itself. Honestly, I gave up on watching the anime a few years ago, so I never saw it. The manga was where I misplacedput most of my faith.

Still, I manage to get my hands on some nice textless OP/EDs for AMV making, and from what I've seen of those the studio does a nice job.

Here's the thing about the Pain fight

It appears it was done by one of their better studios

the one that handled all the good fights in the 1st series like Naruto v. Sasuke

I think they were actually just trolling at that point, maybe they were overworked, who knows

 

Got to agree with that.

9 times out of 10 the boss battles in those games are better than they are in the anime.

 

I don't subscribe to the fandom but I do enjoy Naruto on a purely entertaining level. It tends to be shoved in your face because of how popular it is, but staying away from that it's still enjoyable. I don't watch the anime of course, but I do read it and I do play the games.

 

As a whole I like Naruto. Serially it's not really good imo because the plot gets too big for its britches at a lot of points (e.g. flashback hell and the whole "YOU WILL ALWAYS SUFFER FOREVER" gets really...forced? It might just be recent chapters in the manga but every time the villains start going off on it I get annoyed).

But looking at the history of events on the whole, it's a nice ride to me. There's a few parts I really liked, like the Pain Arc, Nine Tails Arc and every scene involving Naruto's parents (i love them so much oh my god). It's nothing game changing about the industry and it's certainly not one of the best animes out there, but I like it well enough.

Also the games are pretty bitchin' and I have lots of fun with the ones I've played.

 

I have to admit there was a time when I tolerated it enough to be a member of Engi No Jutsu

which is probably still more entertaining than the series ever was to me

but apparently the fight scenes are good because I've been freebasing them over the past few days

(Seriously first Deidara now Kakuzu is every Akatsuki member mutilated on the inside does Kisame keep a fish tank where his liver should be)

And I've actually thought of getting one of the NUNS games, is the latest one good?

 

Actually the Ultimate Ninja storm games are pretty amazing in fact I prefer playing the games rather than watching the anime and that says something. As for the newest release, HOLY CRAP THAT GAME GIVES ME GOOSE BUMPS!
I recommend you download on the demos for UNS 3 and try it out

 

Surprised at how much love NUNS is getting. I haven't played since 2, but it had autocombos in it which, among other things, killed it for me. They were ******, but I could get a string of moves to connect and flow by mashing one button and I have seen people play with one person staring at the screen and trying to play and the other one facing the opposite direction with the controller behind his back and the guy not looking that television won two rounds in a row.

Eh, the one player experience might be more interesting since it's not really a fighting game. It just has a two player mode. I'm just speaking from my own personal experience, which is only with versus mode.

 

I think he's referring to the multiplayer which isn't that good lol.
NUNS is great for the story mode
